Would you consider the middle color to be yellow or orange?

Interesting. I think it's orange too but almost every else says yellow.

I think it's actually either depending on the context in which it is used. How illuminated or shaded is the image? What's the environment it's being used in, the context-- is it a safety hazard sign or a flower? What year is the picture supposed to be from?

To put it simply, it's a 2D art I'm making with few colors. This isn't it but here's a minimalist example.

Back when design wasn't infected by the globohomo and tech was seen as a 'hope' for the future and actually looked futuristic, unlike the flat/minimal style we see today

GLOBOHOMO AESTHETIC
>>
>>419996
popular =/= best selling

globo homo is most popular because every one can do it quick and fast for minimum wage

best selling is mixture of GD + ART + EXPERTISE

Good hand drawn animation is always a treat.

Union Jack is at least aesthetic to some extent, US flag is a bit of an overkill due to the lack of simplistic symmetry like in Union Jack and overdoing the lines etc with being too "extra."

One of the reasons I prefer the Confederate Battle Flag.

Monster® is one of the best known brands today and every time I see this imperfection I want to literally stab the designer with a screwdriver. If you present something like this in college, the professor's first response will be: GO FIX IT. So how the fuck could the Art Director of Monster® approve of such an amateur-like logo?

Like brutalist design? Or specifically the repeated lines of text? I think both have peaked, design-wise, but will likely remain relevant for some time. I find it oppressive, but it hasn't yet reached the largest mainstream brands.

Would you wear a shirt or fly a flag with your family crest on it?

You can search up 'family crest template' and a bunch of em show up so feel free to make one

This ones kinda shit but meh
>>

Hi, I'm an amateur heraldic hobbyist.

"Family Crest" is usually an inaccurate term used for coats of arms. The "Crest" refers to the objects above the torse, the twisted colorful wreath above the helmet. Inheritance of coats of arms is complicated, and differs depending on regional tradition, however *no legitimate heraldic tradition* will assign arms to a surname alone-- decent from the original armiger, via matrilineal, patrilineal, or whatever depending on the regional tradition, is required in every tradition.

Usually, if a site claims to be able to connect you to a "family crest" based on anything other than proven genealogy, it's trying to scam you.

That's not to say individuals cant make their own unique coat of arms (called "assumption"). I would advise researching on your own about heraldry, blazonry, and the like before even making a first draft. The Heraldry subreddit Discord was very helpful when I assumed arms.

If you do assume arms, be careful not to claim existing arms you have no right to. Additionally, take careful note of local laws restricting heraldry in your country. Some European countries have active heraldic authorities and traditions, and while you're probably not going to be hunted down by the Lord Lyon, it's certainly in bad taste.

Request and share non-free typefaces and identification of typeface samples.

Previous thread >>408210

> Font identification

Before you request, do your due diligence by running your font sample through a font identifier;

whatfontis <dot> com
fontsquirrel <dot> com/matcherator (be sure to enable the myfonts setting)
myfonts <dot> com/whatthefont

If you're not getting a clear read then put your sample in PS, separate the letters and colour it to be pure black on a white background.

> Font requests

First of all, check;

vk <dot> com/board178186634
graphicex <dot> com

> Uploading

catbox <dot> moe is great for uploading small-sized zips containing fonts, especially since it doesn't expire.

How do you pick a good/memorable/cool name for your social media while still being professional?
Or is it better to just go with a generic "@SuzyGraphicDesign"?

with that mindset, you will always stay small, and likely require secondary income.
serious business customers pay serious money. serious business customers couldn't care less about whether you have social media. it takes up valuable time to have and manage social media, therefore it is counterintuitive and unproductive.

it all seems like you do not value your time.
you can have your breadcrumbs, i don't need them. i have a bakery.

>serious business customers couldn't care less about whether you have social media.
this is how I can tell you don't get real work. "serious business" don't even interact with you. they hire design firms, ad agencies and art directors. those people in charge of hiring artists absolutely take notice if you're trendy and have the social proof of online followers.
>with that mindset, you will always stay small, and likely require secondary income.
you are hilariously vain considering how wrong you are.
>it all seems like you do not value your time.
yeah, talking to you is a real waste.
