Not really related to anything, but when scrolling up and down while looking at the shelf, this group of books looks like it's moving around on its own. Just a weird optical illusion.

Does anyone here know how to make scanned graphics be... "smother"? I mean, for example, fix the background into one white color instead of having it like this?

Hey guys. I'm from a bygone era where people cherished traditionally made graphic design (like old movie paintings). Any examples of intricate or less throwaway styles?

Request and share non-free typefaces and identification of typeface samples.

Previous thread >>408210

> Font identification

Before you request, do your due diligence by running your font sample through a font identifier;

whatfontis <dot> com
fontsquirrel <dot> com/matcherator (be sure to enable the myfonts setting)
myfonts <dot> com/whatthefont

If you're not getting a clear read then put your sample in PS, separate the letters and colour it to be pure black on a white background.

> Font requests

First of all, check;

vk <dot> com/board178186634
graphicex <dot> com

> Uploading

catbox <dot> moe is great for uploading small-sized zips containing fonts, especially since it doesn't expire.

If somebody helps you then pay it forward!

DALL-E 2 is a new ML art generator that can actually create hyper specific variations of images based on natural language prompts.

Seems like this is the end of needing to subcontract to Fiverr to meet deadlines. Soon, they're coming for the actual designers too.

>However, it’s devastating for traditional artists
are you retarded? this makes digital pixels, not brushstrokes on canvas

Doing some funky stuff on the HUD of Devil May Cry 3. For those who play the game, this is the Style icon for the Doppelganger Style.

I think it's pretty obvious I did the top one first, being the more rounder iteration. Basically went with the Uroborus symbolism. The spheres there can't be moved so I drew the two dragons separately. The heads started off slightly different, but I added the most differences on the smaller details of their bodies and the wings.

Once finished, I kinda thought it might look interested rotated and slightly skewed sorta like on the Sonic Adventure 2 logo and so I distorted the shit out of it, so it does look a bit odd here and there but.

As a HUD element that will stay on the top left hand of the screen only when the Doppelganger Style is picked, either one looks cool, but what do you guys think?

Stupid questions thread / Questions that don't deserve their own thread

I'm trying to blur the eyes/nose on a movie in after effects. Tracked motion, applied to null object, using tracking info to drive an adjustment layer on top of eyes/nose. Due to lighting and movement, tracked movement is not precise enough, so I'm tweaking the shape and position to follow the face's perspective/position changes. I've activated keyframes on Mask Path, Mask Opacity (for when blur is not needed) and Position, see pic related.
I'm scrolling trough the video and adapting the mask's shape/position as needed, 30 seconds of footage in, I preview my work and to my surprise the mask has changed shape from what I originally set it as, and basically all my work carefully shaping the mask to the subjects face is gone. It's close to what I shaped it, but different enough to fuck me up. What am I doing wrong? What else do I need to keyframe so I actively lock the masks shape/size as desired?

tl;dr how do I lock an adjustment layer's mask's shape/size per keyframe?

I'm trying to append a few gifs together, which were cut from the same source.

Originally I was trying to figure out how to determine what the frame delay interval/framerate of the gifs were, thinking I'd just import the frames together then export them at the original framerate as a single gif.

I found an online tool that can change gif framerates, and that lists the framerate, so I used that to determine the framerates then imported the frames from each gif togther in GIMP and exported them at the OG framerate, but the exported gifs had errors, as see here

https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/276201142512517122/967450508300288061/Pokken_Siesmic_Toss.gif
or this
https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/276201142512517122/967450542769078373/Pokken_Siesmic_Toss_3.gif
depending on what frame disposal I use.

Any ideas on what's going on or how to fix it, or what my workflow for appending gifs without added compression or quality loss or changes to frame timing should be?

Why is collage work not respected?
It still takes a good eye and skill, and the result ends up looking better than if you just drew, painted or staged it.
I get i'm maybe coping, but it feels like people are gatekeeping art so they feel better about themselves

collage has a long history, you just dnot seem to know any of it.
early photography has a serious element of collage
then theres this guy called Picasso - did uh a smidge of collage
also surrealism, a tiny smidge of collage
even minimalist land artist and architects do collage - Richard Meier has a whole book of his collages out there- fantastic work.

put some effort into it brokino

Anyone got a link to free version of photoshop?

I had a cracked version of Photoshop on my old computer before it broke.
My old link for the cracked version has been taken down and I sure as shit am not spending 20 bucks a month for it.

Only alternative I found was Gimp, which doesn't feel right to use, but I can live with it if there isn't anything else.
