It is a time of peace. With Lord Freeza’s explosive declaration, naming himself Emperor of the Universe after single-handedly obliterating the Covenant stronghold High Charity, peace has come to the universe. Not wanting to stand against him and his unstoppable Super Saiyans, within days of his declaration the universe bent the knee. And while there are always outliers, those stubborn or foolish enough to try and resist, the overwhelming majority of the universe is bending the knee. And he wouldn’t have achieved all this, defeated the strongest military in the universe and survived the Prophet’s ultimate weapon without your help.

Welcome to Saiyan Conqueror Quest, the story of an alternate timeline in the greater Dragonball EU. Currently it is Age 749 and you the players control Karn: once an ordinary Saiyan warrior with a meager powerlevel of 2,830 who has risen to become a mighty Super Saiyan, and so much more. Throughout your many adventures, the “Dragon of New Salda” has grown into the symbol of Saiyan might and power recognized actoss the universe. Now as a PTO general with a powerlevel of over 51 million, and close friend and confidant of Lord Freeza himself, Karn has become his people’s greatest champion.

Previously on Saiyan Conqueror Quest:

After battling an animated M’lurnian corpse and defeating one of Ubo’s kin who’d been kidnapped by another Towa years ago, Karn’d watched Chay and Raditz lose a fight to Broly and Chilli’s overwhelming advantages. Deciding to then take the Energy Body skill and train it into a passive ability instead of one he has to consciously focus on to keep active, he managed to keep it running until he went to sleep. Where he came under attack from a self-proclaimed god named Shinnok. After defeating the so-called Elder God, banishing it from your mind, Karn awakened. And as we rejoin Karn, you just teleported from your room to Raven’s side.

“I’m here.” you say, appearing by the Guardian of New Salda’s side. Just in time to see her facing off against the no-longer spectral form of an all-too-familiar being.
“This world is not yours to take!” Raven snarls, her own dark energy clashing with the spirit’s power in some sort of beam struggle. But it’s clear Raven is losing, her energy slowly, inexorably being pushed back towards her. “I will not let you!”
“Child, you stand no chance of defeating me.” Shinnok answers, pushing a bit more power forward and knocking Raven back a bit further. “What are you, compared to a true god?”
“Someone who has friends!” she retorts angrily, while being pushed back another foot closer to you. “And doesn’t have to fight alone!”
“Wait, you?!” he shouts, suddenly realizing you’re here as well. “How? When-?”

How do you handle this?
>Rush and attack while he’s occupied with Raven, Divine Dragon Force this so-called god
>Draw your sword, then rush and attack. Cut him down without mercy
>Draw your sword, then Instant Transmission behind him for a lethal strike
>Dash around to Shinnok’s back, and fire your own energy wave to sandwich him between both attacks
>Walk over to raven and place your hand on her shoulder, adding your own power to her own to overwhelm this Shinnok

“You so-called gods always make the same mistake.” you say, walking over beside Raven without taking your eyes off this threat. “You always underestimate what us mortals can really do!”

Flaring your emerald aura up you place your hand on Raven’s shoulder, and begin channeling your ki into her. You feel her strength surging as your power amplifies her own, Raven’s own aura blazing up around her. She’s clearly shocked by this, but after a moment turns her focus back on the battle at hand.

“Then I won’t make the same mistake!” he roars, suddenly tripling the size and power of his attack and near-instantly overwhelming Raven. At the last instant she abandons her beam, instead opting for her own dark Barrier around the both of you. Shinnok’s blast strikes the shield. You feel the pressure he’s exerting against it, but Raven can clearly hold such an attack back. “I will exterminate you both, right here and now!”

Ending his blast, suddenly a pair of skeletal hands emerge from the ground, grasping ahold of Raven’s spherical shield between them. The pressure inside instantly doubles, and as the bony hands squeeze tighter, you see and hear her shield beginning to crack. She can’t hold this for much longer!

“Karn, reinforce the Barrier! I need three seconds.” she says telepathically, you wordlessly raise your left hand and activate your own Barrier behind hers. Raven’s shield shatters a second later, the skeletal hands grasping onto your own energy. And you realize why Raven couldn’t hold them back for long: those bony hands actually drain energy! You feel your power being siphoned away by the grasping bones!
“HAAAAAAA!!” you roar, pouring even more power into your shield. Redoubling your Barrier’s output, your shield begins slowy forcing the grasping hands back away from you both.
“What?!” he shouts, clearly surprised as his crushing grip on you is loosened more and more. “Tha-That’s impossi-GAH!!?”

Suddenly all the pressure vanishes, the hands letting go of you. Surprised you look to Shinnok, and see a few feet of shadow-shrouded spear protruding from his chest. It then bursts completely through the so-called god in a spray of crimson motes of light, soaring right into Raven’s open hand. Shinnok drops to a knee, clutching at the wound in his chest in clear disbelief.

“I told you, this world isn’t yours to conquer.” Raven says, raising the weapon in preparation to finish him with a thrust through the skull. But as she does, you get a horrible sensation. Whether from your practice with Foresight, your instincts, or plain old intuition, you realize that Raven’s in danger! Without a moment’s hesitation you charge forward, shoving Raven aside with your right hand the instant before she swings. “Wha-?”

And it turns out you were right.

>>4982828
The moment you send her flying, another skeletal hand bursts from the ground, wrapping you in it’s bony grip. Again you feel this magic sapping your strength, wincing as the fingers clutch you tightly in their supernatural grip.

“I was aiming for her, but I suppose I can kill you first.” the god says, rising back to his feet with a smirk. He then points the amulet at you, and knowing what it can do, you get out of there.
“HRRRAAAAAA!!” you roar, physically forcing the skeletal hand open. This shocks the god, who immediately backpedals from you.
“No, this cannot be!” he shouts, the amulet beginning to glow with power. “I will not be caged again!!”

Well? How do you handle this?

“I’m ending this!” you snarl, leaping down out of the skeletal hand’s grip and rushing the weakened god. He tries firing another beam of energy, but he’s too slow. You duck the radiant beam, dashing in low to the ground and driving your right foot into the god’s right knee. Which shatters with an audible pop, Shinnok gasping in shock and pain. His beam ends, the god unable to concentrate on his attack through the pain, and you seize the opening to end this. Reaching up you grab onto the staff with your left hand, just under the amulet, then twist and swing with a right knife hand. Your strike breaks the staff clean in two, seperating Shinnok from his amulet. “Raven!!”

You don’t say anything else, just pitch the amulet back to her then drive your right elbow squarely into this pathetic excuse for a god’s nose. Which shatters with a crunch and spray of blood, Shinnok falling to his back in clear agony. Then your instincts kick in again, and sense something about to happen behind you.

“Karn, move!” Raven thinks as you’re already leaping away from him, you glancing baco and see Raven holding the amulet towards the downed god. “Get off my planet!”

Suddenly the amulet explodes with that same divine power, it seemingly engulfing and binding Shinnok.

“No! You cannot do this!” he shouts, panic and agony clear in his voice. “I won’t be sealed! You cannot keep me locked up in here foreve....!”

But as his body is seemingly pulled back into the artifact his voice fades out, leaving just you and Raven alone in the hidden armory. She’s panting in clear exhaustion, and after a moment sumply drops the amulet and sinks to her knees.

“Raven!” you shout, dashing to her side and supporting her. “Are you okay?”
“Tsk! I-I’m fine.” she says through gritted teeth, trying to rise but instead grabs her gut in clear pain. “We have to find the other one.”
“Wait, what other one?!” you ask, expanding your ki senses and looking around wildly at this sudden alarming news.
“He-He was a demon.” she replies, you seeing something off about her hand ob her gut. Curious you reach down, and feel that her abdomen is a familiar sticky-wet feeling. Pulling your hand away, you realize that it’s blood! “Quan Chi. I broke him, but Shinnok sent him somewhere. We have to-gaaah!”
“What you have to do is rest, we’ll get you patched up.” you tell her. You aren’t sure what stabbed her, but there’s no way in hell you’re gonna let her die today.

But what do you do now?
>Teleport to your room, try and only wake Caulifla if possible to heal her
>Teleport to Dr. White on your ship, get her in a healing pod pronto
>Tell her that her own health comes first, and she needs to focus on fully healing herself before you try tracking whoever she destroyed

“Your own health comes first Raven.” you say, unconsciously slipping into a more fatherly tone. “Heal yourself first, then we can start tracking down that demon.”
“No, I have to-!” she says, trying to rise again before gasping in pain and slumping forward. You catch her before she falls, laying Raven down on her back.
“No. Absolutely not.” you tell her as gently as you can. “You’re in no shape to fight anymore.”
“But-!” she starts, you just laying a hand on her shoulder.
“Raven. If you can’t save yourself, you can’t catch that demon.” you tell her. “Heal yourself, we don’t want anything happening to you. If you broke him as badly as you said, he won’t be able to get very far.”

“I-....Fine. You’re right.” she says with a sigh, closing her eyes and laying both hands over her blood-soaked abdomen. She starts chanting something under her breath, Raven’s familiar dark magic enveloping her hands as she focuses her magic in on herself. You watch over her, making sure no one else tries to harm your friend as she focuses on mending herself. It takes her only a minute or two before she ends her magic, rising back up to her feet. “Thank you Karn.”
“Of course. Now, about this demon.” you say, Raven telling you all about her encounter with Quan Chi and how Shinnok sent him away somewhere after she crushed him with telekinesis. “I see. But wherever he went, it was clearly off-world. Shinnok doesn’t seem the type to leave an asset behind, when it could still prove useful. No doubt he sent his servant back to wherever they came from.”

“The Demon Realm.” she replies, a hint of worry in her voice. “If that’s where he went, I could open a portal there. However...”
“Yeah, that’s not a fight I’m ready to pick.” you say. “How about instead we secure that amulet? Last thing we need us him coming back for it again.”
“I do have a solution for that.” she responds, turning to the amulet laying innocently on the ground. You see her reaching out, enveloping the ancient prison with her aura and lifting it. She begins speaking in an unfamiliar, hars language, it making your skin crawl. Then to your surprise a crimson light beams out from Raven’s forehead, it reaching out and binding the artifact in it’s light.

“Raven, wait! What are you doing?” you say, alarmed as you suddenly realize what she’s trying to do.
“It’s the best way.” she answers, the demon script engraved all over her body blazing to life. “If my Bloodstone can seal Trigon, it can seal this cursed amulet away too!”

What do you do?

>>4983028
You watch with a mix of awe and worry as she begins pulling the possessed amulet towards herself, intent on sealing that god away within herself. As she does, you remember all the pain she went through when it was only Trigon in her mind, and how much grief he caused her. And your mind is made up, she’s not going through that hell again. Not if you have anything to say about it!

“No you don’t!” you shout, reaching out and grabbing at the cursed amulet.
“Karn, what are you doing?!” Raven shouts in shocked disbelief. “If you grab it, you’ll-!”

But whatever else she was saying is lost, as your hand grasps the ancient amulet. And everything around you vanishes. The world breaks away into nothing, leaving only you floating in an endless grey void holding the amulet. Or at least, you’d thought you were alone.

“Well well well, isn’t this ironic?” Shinnok’s voice comes from behind you. Turning around you see the recently-defeated deity standing before you, but you notice something’s different. Where Raven stabbed him with the spear, you don’t see a hole anymore but what looks like a small mass of darkness. “You spent all that effort to resist me, yet here you are. Throwing yourself directly at my feet, like a lamb fresh for slaughter.”
“I think you misunderstand why I’m here.” you reply, thinking to Bane and telling him your plan. “I’m just keeping Raven from sealing this amulet away inside herself. She already had one demon in her head, last thing she needs is another one in there.”

“No matter. What need have I for her, when I can take your body for myself?”
“Wait, what?” you say, the deity smirking at you.
“We may have battled inside your head before, but this is now my domain. You’re all alone, you cannot resist me here.”
“Oh really?” Bane says appearing right behind the god. And as he tries to turn around, Bane unleashes the full fury of his dark lightning.
“GAAAAAAAAAHH?!!” Shinnok cries out in agony, writhing as the power of Bane’s lightning courses throughout his body.
“This body isn’t yours to take!” Bane snarls, redoubling his attack into an even larger storm. While holding the attack you focus, once more summoning Divine Dragon Force.
“You ready?” you ask, your Stand’s gaze fixed on the god and simply nods to you. “Now get out of my head! Divine Dragon Force!!”

“GRRRROOOOOAAAAAAAAR!!” your Stand bellows, the two of you blasting towards the pinned god. Bane keeps his lightning going until the last instant, his attack ending just as your Stand connects! The two of you punch straight through him together, Bane leaping aside as your charge carries you both near him. Quickly slowing to a stop you turn, seeing the form of the deity dissolving unto motes of crimson light.

“But how? How are you...this...?” he mutters, vanishing into nothing. As he disappears, the entire grey world begins shattering and falling to pieces. An instant later you’re back, standing where you’d been when you grabbed the amulet with Raven in your face.
“Karn? KARN?!! Answer me!!” she shouts, shaking you by the shoulders. “Please, answer me!”
“Huh? Oh, Raven.” you say, looking down at your hand and seeing the amulet still held in your hand. “Sorry, but I couldn’t let you do that to yourself. You already had one demon in your head, you didn’t need another.”

“Wait, you? Then he didn’t compel you?” she asks, eyes wide. “You did this for me?”
“Of course. We can find another solution, no need to make yourself suffer like that for no reason.” you answer, Raven suddenly lunging forward and wrapping her arms around your neck. You feel her body shake a couple times, and realize that she’s actually crying. “Raven?”
“T-Thank you.” she says between sobs, holding onto your neck for dear life. She remains there for a minute or two before crying herself out, you just holding her and patting her on the back. Once she’s fine she asks for you to set the amulet back on the pedestal, which you do. She then begins conjuring all sorts of magic around it, forming what seems to be a sphere of dark and demonic energies around it. “There. That should hold and conceal it, at least for now.”

“Goo-ooood.” you say with a yawn, realizing it’s still either sometime late at night or very very early in the morning. “You okay?”
“I’ll be fine, go on to sleep.” she says with a soft smile. “I’ll handle the cleanup, don’t worry.”
“Thanks. Need anything else don’t hesitate to call again.” you say, raising your right hand to your forehead and focusing on Meloka’s sleeping ki signature. Then in a blink you’re gone, reappearing right back in your bedroom. With a sigh you take your sword off, leaning it back against the wall and walking over to your bed. With a small effort of telekinesis you lift your smaller children, crawling back into bed and laying them back down. And within a few minutes you’re back asleep, hoping when you wake back up tomorrow, or today whichever will be a better day.

Yet after what feels like only a few seconds, you feel yourself waking up again. Your entire body is stiff, yet as you open your eyes see that you’re once more the only one awake. The rest of your kids and Meloka are all still asleep, and your body feels like it could use a few more hours.

You consider just going back to bed, but on second thought change your mind. Instead of simply going to bed, you reach out to your planet and form the telepathical link with it’s avatar. Your mind connects to New Salda’s alien presence, your planet thinking out to you.

“Greetings, Champion.” the avatar’s booming thoughts echo in your mind. “You wish for my assistance?”
“Yeah. I just wanted to check on everything, since I was awake.” you reply, and immediately begin feeling that connection deepening. “If I’m awake at this hour, it usually means there’s something wrong.”
“I see. Best of luck, Champion.” New Salda answers, you focusing on your greatly-enhanced ki senses to see every single living being on New Salda. From you and your fellow Super Saiyans’ towering ki, to the smallest blade of grass, you can sense everything.

First of course you bring your attention around you, to your family and crew. Fortunately there isn’t anything living on your ship you haven’t already given permission to be there, so no issues there. Next you focus on your fellow Saiyans and the PTO members amongst them in and around the city, you don’t sense anything too out of the ordinary. People are up and about around the spaceport, and there seems to be a surprising amount of activity there at the palace. But whoever they are, Vegeta, Nappa, Bardock surprisingly, and Emilia are all there confronting the half-dozen far weaker powers. Hell, at their levels either little Maz or Kayle could eliminate that entire group solo. So that clearly isn’t a problem.

“But what about underwater?” you think to yourself, changing your focus from the land to the sea. And to your surprise, the first thing you notice a rather sizeable group of Rak’kari heading towards more than a dozen Mindslayers clustered together. And you realize that that’s an army moving to attack the massed Dark creatures. “Huh. That’s interesting.”
“Mhhrmm.” Meloka murmurs in her sleep, you glancing to your wife. Reaching over you caress her cheek, Meloka leaning a bit into your hand. Turning your attention from the rest of the planet you focus back on your family, ending the link with New Salda. Your planet is fine, there’s nothing to worry about amongst the living.

What now?

But does that mean it’s safe?

That thought keeps popping up in your mind, along with the time you got snuck up on by that Lin Kuei robot. If you can’t sense them at all, with even New Salda’s enhancements, perhaps you should at least take a sweep across your ship. Just in case.

Focusing your mind once more, you again lift all the children off you with telekinesis and slip out of bed once more. You don’t bother grabbing one of your weapons this time, focusing instead on moving silently through your home. Sliding the door open with only a whisper using your telekinesis, you slip through and silently close it behind you. Looking left then right, you don’t see anyone or anything out of the ordinary down either path. So you decide to travel clockwise, moving silently and sticking to the inside wall along the ship’s curvature to hopefully give you the edge against anything that may appear. Creeping along silently you see nothing, and don’t hear anything either. That is, until you approach your crew’s quarters. As you get close, you hear low murmering from their room. Stopping completely you listen in, curious what they’re up to.

“-elling you, we should at least warn her.” Orlen is saying. “Strong or not, if that cannon hits her she’ll be in real trouble. That gun could kill her.”
“I don’t want her to get hurt, none of us do.” Guprei answers. “But we all know she’s slipping. Better a hard loss be to a friend, than to someone who’s trying to kill her.”
“If you can call her that.” Appule says, sounding worried. “Did you see her yesterday? That girl ain’t right. I’m worried for Chaya if she challenges her.”

“The hell are they talking about?” you wonder to yourself. “Wait, do they mean Tanya?”

I'm glad that we're coming up to an opportunity to pull up Chaya on her attention-whoring. Even the crew can see that it's a real issue.

>>
>>4983530
>More of they see TANYA as a rising threat to her
Any soldier worth their salt can see that she's a natural born killer.
Not that Chaya isn't as well, but she's lost touch with her true strengths.
>>
>>4983512
So what's the overall plan? Make her go full cold turkey?
>>
>>4983562
Ideally, yes.
But if we force her into it, she might end up resenting us to some degree.
The current plan, as I understand it, is to let things play out and wait for Tanya to (probably) beat Chaya.
That kind of reality check is gonna make her question herself, leading to her most likely coming to Karn for advice.
That's when we give her our honest thoughts about how she should go about things in the future.
>>
>>4983588
And just so I'm on the same page for support, what's the advice or hoVT8SGnest thoughts?
>>
>>4983596
This is just me talking, but I think we all agree on a few key points
>She can't be a starlet forever
>She's stifling her true potential by sticking with the Dreadzone
>She's only making herself more vulnerable as time goes on
>She needs to focus on what really matters to her
>>
>>4983562
No more 'squatting on camera' twitch-thot streams is a good start.
>>
So.... what happens if Chaya actually still wins even after all of this shit?
>>
>>4983705
the powergap is so big chaya presumably stands no chance even if she pulls ssj3 out of her ass. tanya's power output was high enough to get even karn at his strongest possible to shit his pants and desperately get out of the way of her attack
>>
>>4983988
But what if she goes Ultra Super Saiyan 3
>>
>>4983533
Yes she is. And Chaya isn’t a killer, at least not in the same way Tanya and Meloka are. She’s more like Karn who enjoys fighting, but most of the time she isn’t fighting to live anymore. Rather she’s fighting just for fun, and for the crowd. Maybe she’ll have to decide on what she wants out of life.
>>4983588
>But if we force her into it, she might end up resenting us to some degree.
True. Especially since she’s virtually an adult at this point. The best thing you can do is be there for her, no matter the outcome.
>>4983601
>She needs to focus on what really matters to her
>to her
Which is? Does SHE even know?
>>4983705
It is a distinct possibility. Tanya knows the deck is stacked against her going in, and Chaya’s powerlevel is going nowhere but up. That is a dangerous gun, yes. But the real question is what ELSE does she have? She brought that along on a supposedly non-combat mission in friendly territory to get some of her things.
>>
>>4983476
“I’d be more worried for Tanya.” Gunrei says. “Didn’t you guys see that fiery guy tank several of her shots?”
“I also saw him grow back his entire head after Karn obliterated it with a punch.” Orlen counters, you now realizing they’re talking about Kars. And you hadn’t realized they were watching you at the time. But I went back and checked the heavy scouter’s history, and tracking Karn’s singal that hole in the ground went down at least a mile and a half, almost two!”

“Wait, are you serious?” Alice asks, the young cook clearly sounding concerned.
“Nah, there’s no way.” that Soma boy adds in, sounding a bit too confident in himself. “Even the warship-scaled Covenant weapons didn’t pack that level of power.”
“That’s because their version of the weapons weren’t built to crack planets, but to clear them of all life.” Guprei says. “However, it seems that Vox’s people are more focused on turning them into unstoppable beams of death. Even Karn lept out of the way of her first shot, instead of trying to shield himself.”
“And that’s the only new weapon she brought into friendly territory.” Rasberry adds. “Besides that new hover suit system. Who knows what else Vox’s people have been cooking up?”

“Those hover boots are pretty cool.” Soma says, and as the discussion turns to them you ponder what you’ve heard. If Tanya’s planning to betray Chaya at Dreadzone, things could go very poorly for your daughter. However, knowing Vox he wouldn’t play it that way. Such a turn would have to be a performance, and something far more dramatic. But Shellshock got upgraded recently, according to Chaya herself, and you remember how much damage she’d taken from only him. Your daughter could be in actual, serious danger if she goes back.

But what do you do with this information? How do you handle this turn of events?

Your path decided you walk up, the automatic door sliding open to reveal your crew.

“Hey guys. What’s going on?” you ask, walking in to see several of your crewmates gathered gathered around a couple screens. On one you see Chaya fighting Shellshock, and on the other see yourself and Tanya fighting Kars. You don’t remember this tech being set up in here, but given they’re working for Vox to support Chaya, it only makes sense. “Betting on another fight?”
“Karn, I’m worried for Chaya.” Orlen says, speaking his mind. “If she and Tanya fight, your daughter could get really messed up. That psycho might even kill her.”
“You’re clearly overestimating her.” Soma says, the redheaded youth leaning back in his seat relaxed. “That cannon or not, she’s not beating Chaya.”

“Even you didn’t try blocking that attack.” Guprei says, gesturing to the screen as it shifts. The image changes to just before Tanya’s attack, showing you leaping clear just as Tanya’s cannon blasts Kars straight down into the earth. “Her weapon is dangerous, and might even kill your daughter.”
“It is dangerous, that’s for sure.” you reply. “But why would they fight? Aren’t they on the same side?”
“Ratings.” Raspberry says simply. “Most contestants don’t actually stand any sort of chance against your daughter. But Tanya’s fight was one of the best-rated fights she’s had. It’s only rated under her matches with that splitjaw Cero, and her championship win against Ace.”
“That’s why we need you to warn her.” Orlen says, almost begging. “If we try and tell her, she’d just brush off our concerns and ‘Don’t worry, I’ve got this’ like she has before. But if YOU tell her, she may actually listen.”

“So what if she does?” Guprei says. “It won’t fix her overconfidence problem. What she needs is a hard loss, something to set her mind straight.”
“I agree, at least in theory, but Tanya could KILL her!” Orlen shouts back at him. “I’d rather not see her die.”
“Tanya would certainly kill her, if given the chance.” Appule says. “She’s a hardened killer, through and through.”
“Please, you gotta talk to her.” Orlen says. “If not, she may get herself killed by underestimating Tanya.”

Well, what do you say to all this?
>Promise them you’ll talk to her about this, you want her to succeed and be the best she can be after all

“Chaya may underestimate her, but Tanya knows better than to seriously hurt my daughter.” you say, trying to project confidence. “Vox would not allow it.”
“Are you certain of that?” Appule asks you. “You’re absolutely sure she wouldn’t kill your daughter?”
“Of course.” you reply. “Not only would Vox have something to say to her about it, but then she’d have to deal with me. And I’m not nearly so nice as he is.”

As you finish speaking, you realize that you’d let your emotions get the better of you, emerald aura blazing angrily. Taking a drep breath you reign it back in, your aura dissipating after a second or two.

“Tanya, along with the rest of the universe at this point damn well knows what happens to someone who tries killing my family.” you continue, now much calmer. “She may beat Chaya, but she knows better than to go further than that.”
“If you say so, General.” Orlen says, sounding uncertain but still giving a salute anyways. “I’ll trust your assessment.”
“I appreciate it. But don’t let that stop you from voicing your concerns.” you say to him, then address the room. “Any of you. I’m always open to your ideas and thoughts. I’m just a fighter, not some deep thinker or anything.”
“Yes sir!” they all shout, except for the cook apprentices, saluting as one.
“Sir!” they follow suit a half-second later. You leave them to it, heading back out of the room and back to your room. Just in time to see your family all up and getting dressed.

“Mornin’ hun. Anything happen today?” Meloka asks, you walking up and hugging her.
“Raven and I battled a sealed away god, trying to escape from that amulet Silver had.” you tell her. “Y’know, just another morning.”
“I see.” she says, brows furrowed. “Is she okay?”
“Yeah, we handled it.” you say, not wanting to worry her. “Now, let’s get started.”

“Hey old man, you up?” you reach out telepathically to Tatsu. “Want to meet up with us for breakfast?”
“Why not? I’ll see you all here.” he replies, you almost able to see his smirk in your mind. “Better hurry, before it’s all gone.”
“We’ll be right on over.” you reply, ending the link and addressing your family while you get fully dressed as well. “So, who wants to go eat breakfast with your grandpa Tatsu?”

“MEEE!!” Caulifla, Maz, and Kayle all shout excitedly, even Karn Jr “Aaaaaah!” ing as well.
“Sounds like a yes.” you say, raising your right hand to your forehead. “Alright, grab on.”
“Yaaay!” Cauli rushes over, the first one grabbing your left hand. Everyone else follows suit, and with a few moments’ thought and focus on Tatsu’s ki, you teleport to his side. One moment you and your family are all in your bedroom, the next standing beside your old man Tatsu sitting at a rather large table empty. Caulifla jumps, leaping at her grandpa and wrapping her atms around his neck. “Mornin’ Tatsu!”

“Well good morning Cauli.” he says, slightly bewildered by the sudden appearance of you all. He sees you, and gives a chuckle. “You know that was a joke, right?”
“Of course. But you can never be too sure.” you reply, sitting down beside him. Once everyone’s settled in you all enjoy a breakfast that tastes reminiscent of the days back on Planet Vegeta, then you all head right back into training. Day after day you push yourself, focusing on pushing not only your own limits with you Ascended Berserker form and keeping the Energy Body active, but training your children and students too. And before you’ve realized it, an entire week has passed. And after eating breakfast with your old man again, Chaya suddenly springs up to her feet.

“Today’s the day!” she says excitedly, almost bouncing up and down in excitement. “Today the tournament starts!”
“Wait, that’s today?” Broly asks, surprised. You look back and forth between them confused. “Alright, let’s go.”
“What tournament?” you ask the oldest kids, confused.
“Me, Vegeta, an’ Vox got an under-18 tournament for every Saiyan who wants to enter set up today!” she says excitedly. “A tournament to see who’s the strongest! Even Chilli’s comin’ back today to compete!”
“Oh really? Sounds like this could be exciting.” you say, the reat of your family all rising up together. “Why not? Let’s all head on over.”

It’s sounding like something quite interesting is about to go down. Who knows, this might motivate Chaya to start taking her training more seriously, and you might even find some new students to start training too. This could be fun.

It's honestly kinda unfair for everybody else if Vegeta competes.
He's about 150 times stronger than Broly, his closest competition as far as powerlevel is concerned.
It'd be like if B7 (in his base form) tried to fight a fully transformed Karn.
To put it into perspective
>Champion Legendary Super Saiyan 3 Karn - 61,321,200,000
>Primal Vegeta - 99,320,000,000
The only mortals in the known universe stronger than Vegeta in terms of raw power are Frieza and Ubo.
And he's still only 17!

>“But how? How are you...this...?” he mutters, vanishing into nothing. As he disappears, the entire grey world begins shattering and falling to pieces.
He is kind of calm for somebody being erased. I don't think the amulet is empty now. That's not enough to really kill him.

Shinnok will be back and next time it will be more difficult. He has a power of mimicry in games. He could use abilities and powers of other fighters. He showed none of that here. I guess he did not expect to face this much of a resistance.

He is now familiar with Divine Dragon Force.
Can he copy it now?
Will he wield his Divine Dragon Force next time we face him?
If he has it, does he understands it only in an extent Karn does?
Or maybe he gets it more and knows how to use DDF's abilities Karn did not discover yet?
Could he try using DDF's Wish to free himself from Amulet again?
Or maybe he would keep DDF not dormant and ready for use and battle next time Quan Chi frees him again? (I'm sure Quan will be back for it.)
This happening may sound absurd now but Shinnok is an Elder God so he may have access to some overpowered abilities. (Like in the gif. Those are not his own abilities he is using.)

I know we probably learn answers to all of this only when Karn faces him again, but better not to underestimate him next time, or Shinnok will surprise Karn with hitting him with his own DDF eraser attack.
>>4983211

Because, despite getting hit by DDF, that wasn’t his actual body. He wasn’t fully released from the amulet, the seal was just weakened enough for him to project himself into the real world.
I’ll say this, he cannot copy Divine Dragon Force. As for why, that’d be spoilers.
And that is the question. Can he suppress the Dark, or will it corrupt and consume him as it has so many before?
>>4985010
To an extent, yes.
>>
>>4985010
Powerlevel aren't the end-all-be-all, but it's just too much of a gap for Broly to overcome with his style.
>>
>>4985010
Interesting. Though difference between Primal Vegeta and Ascended Berserker Broly is quite massive.

How likely it is that if Kakarot wins the tournament he will ask as a reward to fight with Vegeta or somebody of that power level? Or maybe personal training? I just wonder how much is he like his canon Goku counterpart. Is he almost the same or quite different. In this quest he stayed in Raditz's shadow for some time, so I'm curious.

Let's see. Known contestants:
>Chaya
>Chilli
Nearly 100% certain contestants:
>Caulifa
>Broly
>Kakarot
>Raditz (I hope he is not too old for this, because I want to see what he himself can do.)
>That big kid that fought with Kakarot (probably Nappa's relative)
I wonder if other children of Meloka and Karn will decide to compete too.
>Tatsu
>Tomi
>Maz
>Kayle
Okira is probably too young.

I hope we see them:
>Parsla
>Ticho (Half Saiyan. I vote to let her compete.)
>Emilia (Not a Saiyan but it would be nice to see her.)
>B7 (He can go Super Saiyan so I hope we can let him in.)
This does not include some possible new faces. Maybe there are some talented kids we did not see yet.

This next episode can't come soon enough.
>>
>>4985465
B7 may not be a Saiyan in the traditional sense, but he's a member of the PTO and a native of New Salda nonetheless. Not to mention he certainly fits in the age range for the tournament as well.
If anybody gives him shit, Karn can just make a public statement about B7's right to compete given his origins and unique physiology.

Parsla and Ticho will be involved.
>>4985479
>he's a member of the PTO
Irrelevant. Plus, for Saibamen lifespans, he’d be better compared to the last Guardian.
>>4985580
Yes. But you showed him that escaping his prison on this planet may not be recommended.
>>4985588
You’re implying that he’d get such a weak powerup from a planet roughly 20x heavier and so heavily soaked in blood than Earth.
>>
>>4985651
>You’re implying that he’d get such a weak powerup from a planet roughly 20x heavier and so heavily soaked in blood than Earth.
Oh. I see. That bad eh?
>>
>>4985771
How many global genocides have we had?
>>
>>4985778
Let's see here
>the native Wookies
>the ancient M'lurnians
>the majority of the Covenant fleet
>at least a few Godzillas
>more smoke-ghosts than I can count
It's quite a lot to be honest.
>>
>>4985781
I think we can rule out the ghosts at a bare minimum, they don't bleed. We did leave a small ocean of Trigon guts on the ground though....
>>
>>4985771
New Salda is a much stronger, dangerous world.
>>4985781
Hatchiyack’s invasion doesn’t really count, except for the Saiyans who died.
>>4985790
Your planet’s sea has drank a lot of demon blood. And then the Dark opened up not long after, releasing the Mindslayers. Coincidence?
>>
>>4986041
So if Shinnok gets juiced off of the life-force of New Salsa, will the Elder Gods actually get off their ancient asses and do something about?
Or is the Mortal realm left to fend for itself as per usual?
>>
>>4986267
to be fair most elder gods if they've been paying attention are probably not interested in going to a planet that a godslayer protects, they might be interested in shunting assholes like Shao Kahn there and watch him get murderized, but fuck actually going there themselves.
>>
>>4986409
They fail to realize that Karn is perfectly willing to work with anybody, Divine or not, so long as they respect him and his goals.
The only gods he's ever killed were pompous assholes who thought mortals were weaklings and savages.
I'm sure if we ever ran into a god that wasn't a prick, they'd make a great ally.
>>
>>4986428
I stand by the fact short sighted pompous asshole is genetic in gods.
>>4986041
Fucking Trigon, kinda surprised his death didn't make an army of zombies, Dark infested not withstanding.
>>
>>4986557
>I stand by the fact short sighted pompous asshole is genetic in gods.
To those who are born divine, yes.
As for those who are born mortal and eventually become divine, they actually seem quite reasonable and personable.
I remember in one of the DnD pantheons, this was actually frowned upon for some reason, so the few gods who were mortal at one point specifically renounced their mortal tendencies and became stereotypical avatars of their respective domains.
>kinda surprised his death didn't make an army of zombies
I forget, what happened to his remains anyhow? I'm sure GD will chime in about that at any moment now.
>>
>>4986584
His skull is literally somewhere near where we keep our bigass ship if I remember right, it's karns gigantic war trophy.
>>
>>4986691
Uh-huh...I wonder what would happen if we were to meditate inside of it.
>>
>>4986267
Would depend partially on Raven’s actions. But they wouldn’t be EAGER to help, that’s for sure.
>>4986409
Less about Karn, and more with the Dark that lurks there. Most divine beings are incredibly weak to the Dark after all, and they know it.
>>4986428
So far your “alliance” with Mechikabura has been nothing but positives for you.
>>4986557
>kinda surprised his death didn't make an army of zombies
You haven’t seen anything of the sort on the surface.
>>4986584
Very true. Being born and raised all your life to believe you’re simply better is a hard hurdle for most beings to overcome, divine or not.
Most of it dissolved, magically removed by Raven after the battle at New Salda’s insistence. The skull is still there, half-submerged in the shallows and forgotten.
>>4986691
>>4986693
Yes, it’s just sitting there. And probably nothing, not like his ghost lingers on or anything . Right?
>>
>>4986966
>On the surface
....Oh great, who else wants to try and take New Salda away from her Monkeys? Dinosaur people living near her core, or maybe under the planets crust?
>>
>>4986995
You’ve not exactly been trawling the depths of the sea often. Other than the armored sharks, Rak’kari, and Mindslayers, you don’t have much of an idea outside their powerlevels.
>>
>>4987273
I wonder, would we be able to explore New Salda's oceans mentally given our connection to the planet?
>>
>>4987335
Somewhat, but not how you’re thinking. You don’t have the same sort of connection to the planet that Raven does.
>>
QM UPDATE

So right now, if all goes well we’re getting Chilli’s crazy morning before the tournament kicks off! Also, and finally, with that week of training done we’re now officially in AGE 750! You now have seven years before the arrival of Beerus the Destroyer, best make full use of that time.
>>
>>4987678
Ya know, I wonder if now isn't the perfect opportunity for another perspective shift given that Karn (hopefully) won't have anything going on during the tournament.
The only question though, is who would we hypothetically play as?
Personally, I think it would be cool to take the perspective of a kid outside of the Karn clan. There's a lot of opportunities for establishing stuff about the current state of Saiyan society and a bunch of other interesting details. Plus it would let you keep our kids' techniques under wraps until they're ready to be revealed.
>>
>>4987700
>perspective shift
You’ll just have to wait and see. If what I’m planning works the way I’ve planned, this upcoming tournament is going to be a whole lot of fun.
>>
>>4987725
I expect no less than 2 alien invasions, 4 bone dragons, and Fu showing up again.
>>
>>4987678
How is the earth doing during this time?
>>
>>4987729
Nah you got it all wrong old kiddo, it'll be five dark gods, seventeen new species of mind-control parasites and Deathstroke being weird around the children.
>>
>>4987846
Alternatively, the Four Kings show up, the last of the Wookies launch an offensive on the stadium, and Raiden shows up to ruin everything because his magic pendant told him to.
>>
>>4987855
Ugh, fucking Raiden. Total cuck.
>>
>>4987860
He sorta redeemed himself at the end, but yeah he was probably the worst threat to Earthrealm during his tenure as its guardian.
I still miss the days when he was just a wandering nobody who was strong as fuck. The mystery behind his character in the beginning really helped make him interesting.
>>
>>4987729
>2 alien invasions
Well...you haven’t seen the contestants yet
>bone dragons
Chilli isn’t that advanced. Yet.
>Fu
Let’s hope he doesn’t show up.
>>4987734
Mai, Shu, and Pilaf are trying to figure out how to put out Fire Mountain.
>>4987855
OG Raiden was so much better than nuRaiden. But that’s true for most of the cast
>>4987867
In the og timeline man was a hero. But there wasn’t much mystery, even the original original arcade machine had his bio as a god who could only fight if challenged directly. MK and MK II arcade machines are how I got into Mortal Kombat
>>
>>4988073
>Mai, Shu, and Pilaf are trying to figure out how to put out Fire Mountain.

Christ. Bulma must have lost hard if these guys are STILL struggling with gathering the dragon balls. Can't help but wonder about Krillin and Yamcha
>>
>>4988080
They’re still both trying to gather them, Bulma with Yamcha, Puar, and Oolong. Although a new name’s about to join that race.
And Krillin has begun his training under Master Roshi, looking for the rock with the turtle school logo on it
>>
>>4988085
Ah, going to assume that you're following the Minus template and Bulma has already graduated from her university. Otherwise, spending an entire year searching for the dragon balls would be rather problematic. And I'm also curious about that new name, less it's the red ribbon army.
>>
>>4988073
>Mai, Shu, and Pilaf are trying to figure out how to put out Fire Mountain.
Well, at least they get to meet Roshi then. I'm sure he'd be more than willing to help out given so long as Mai plays ball.
>>
>>4988174
Maybe Mai will learn kungtial arts this timeline.
>>
>>4988091
She hadn’t planned on it taking this long, and we’re going off the og timeline here, except no Goku. But she, along with Yamcha refuse to let Pilaf win.
As for who, well I’m glad you know your Dragonball lore and when they started searching.
>>4988174
Would they have met Roshi first, or would Bulma have? And would either of them have thought, as innocent Goku did that Roshi could do anything about it?
>>4988408
>kungtial arts
Ha. And why would she, as she clearly prefers gun fu.
>>
>>4988620
>And why would she, as she clearly prefers gun fu.
Because inevitably she's going to get beat up by a midget when she shoots him in the face and his baldness deflects the bullet.

Seriously everyone and their grandma should at least try to figure out Ki on Earth. How no one knows about it is really fucking weird. I blame Kami. Somehow he's making people think it's just CHEAP TRICKS.
>>
>>4988653
The bald one doesn’t beat up women. If he did, General Blue wouldn’t have walked away from his fight with Chaddlen. Jokes aside, it’s probably due to humans not having a naturally affinity for it, and only the most exceptional specimens develop and cultivate that talent. This isn’t Kami’s fault, the one time that something isn’t a god’s doing/fault.
>>
>>4988653
>How no one knows about it is really fucking weird
Well. It WAS spreading out to some segments of the population.
Then this fucker showed up.
>>
>>4988686
That could also be it. The only reason it seems to be so wide-spread in the future might be because of the increase of Saiyan genes in Earth's population.
>>
>>4988691
Even then, when Mutaito was around Roshi and Shen weren’t exactly on even 23rd WMAT Yamcha’s level.
>>4988694
True enough, Saiyan genes from 780 to ~1000(DB Online) no doubt permeated throughout humanity much more than Kahn’s.
>>
>>4988750
>Even then, when Mutaito was around Roshi and Shen weren’t exactly on even 23rd WMAT Yamcha’s level.
Standards were different back then.
I'm sure if Mutaito's gambit had failed, Roshi and Shen might have had a lot more motivation to push themselves over the years.
As far as I know, Roshi didn't start training seriously again until after he had met Goku.
Imagine if he had trained religiously over his 340+ years of life. He'd be a fucking beast.
>>
>>4988620
I run a quest myself so it comes with the territory. But good to know, cause her being held back by school is a good justification why the DB hunt is taking so long. I am rather curious about the wish now that she has Yancha with her. Less its just the timeline where she still wants strawberries.
>>
>>4988760
>Standards were different back then.
Yes and no. The biggest difference I see is they lived a relatively sheltered life, whereas Yamcha lived off the spoils of victory in the desert.
And true enough, Roshi clearly hadn’t trained himself since training Gohan and the Ox King.
>>4988787
Nice.
>is a good justification why the DB hunt is taking so long
It would be, except neither group has managed to collect all 7 yet. Without Goku steamrolling every challenge faced on Bulma’s side, it’s taken far longer. For example, Oolong. Took her a month to solve that one.
At this point, they’re both working to keep Pilaf from getting world domination.
>>
>>4988878
Well yeah, I figured it's also been a stalemate considering how many balls the two of them collected in between. Just that schooling would be a good factor into it.

And I'm also assuming Roshi still has his, less Bulma actually cared and save Turtle from his fate.

And the quest itself that I am running is on Akun/Fiction.live. Would do it here but I like the freedom of being able to edit and add things whenever. Made it to 9 chapters.
>>
>>4988888
It could have, if not for what happened to Capsule Corp when she tried.
Who knows?
Not bad anon, good luck
>>
QM UPDATE

Unfortunately due to irl stuff, episode 162 will not be continuing this weekend. Instead it’ll be pushed back one week, to the 18th/19th at noon EST. Apologies for the late notice, hopefully this will be the only delay this month. The intermission will be out Saturday, if all goes to the new plan
>>
>>4989967
It's all good GD, do what you need too.
>>
>>4989967
Sad, but not unbearable. Looking forward to the epilogue at least.
>>
>>4990016
>>4990067
Again sorry, but I’d only have around 4 hours to run Saturday, and with what I have planned it’d just be getting to the good part.
>>
>>4990209
It's fine, but I do have a question. How does Potential Unleashed work here? Is it a perpetual state, a transformation, etc? Also, can it be stacked with other transformations like GT/Movie BoGs or it overrides it completely like the Anime?
>>
>>4990561
Even in the anime, at least according to the Elder Kai, that with enough training you could combine it with Super Saiyan. Will have to double check the manga after work for confirmation
>>
>>4990960
Now, what would happen if the Unlock ritual was performed on somebody who was already in a higher form that they had acclimated to?
>>
>>4991128
They'd poo their pants
>>
>>4991128
They’d reach super saiyajin 10
>>
>>4991128
Double checking, it does seem to be an anime-only that they could stack, as Elder Kai disparaged the Super Saiyan forms as inferior. But given that it’s stronger than 3 with absolutely no downsides, unless you can go Primal or God it is the better ability. So until it’s proven they can stack, be it Super2 or Heroes, I’ll have to say they can’t stack.
>>4991150
Ha
>>4991211
The fuck sorta hispanic unga bunga shit is that? Did Goku fuse with albino Donkey Kong?
>>
>>4991259
Just a piece of art as old as the internet whose origins are lost to time. I remember seeing it for the first time 15 years ago in one of those ‘Super Saiyan 1-10 videos’ on old YouTube.
>>
>>4991314
Neat. Also, found a different, better base for a SCQ DBSccg deck. Set 13 Saiyan Conquerors hitting a bit different
>>
>>4991320
Noice. Is the DBS card game any good? I’ve been ignoring it for years but now I’m thinking of checking it out.

>>4991333
It’s very pay-to-win, but less so than alot of other tcgs. All the stupid expensive cards, read anything with (Ultimate) in their text, are extremely limited. You can only have exactly one per deck. That said, having a group of friends to kitchen table with is great. It handles like mtg without designated lands, and a life system kinda reminiscent of the Pokemon cg.

Don’t open this image unless you want to feel pain.
>>
>>4991343
What the fuck? I never knew DBZ had a card game until you started talking about it a few threads back.
>>
>>4991343
>(When you deal damage by attacking with this card, you win the game.)
Explain to me why this card isn't banned from all regulated play.
>>
>>4991361
There was the old Z game that I really enjoyed, but tracking damage and powerlevels was too autistic even for my mtg-playing friends. This game is far more user-friendly.
>>4991373
Because they only ban truly broken cards, like this one.
>>
>>4991393
Wow holy shit, that's fucking terrible.
>>
>>4991400
There are more broken cards than that that’re banned. These are just some of the more easy to understand ones.
>>
>>4991429
That one I'd just ban because I fucking hate Zen-Oh.
>>
>>4991439
Blue is the energy control/stall color, as well as the biggest evolve cards. And yes, Zeno is the worst.
>>
>>4991448
I'm not even gonna read whatever bullshit effect that card has, I just hate his little fucking universe destroying face.
>>
>>4991343
>NEAR mint
>for that price
What in the holy sam fuck is that shit? Gat damn
>>
>>4991450
Resets gamestate minus drop/exile
>>4991461
There are some dumb rarities of cards, some have even three different rarities printed, including artist signed stupid-rares. This card’s normal art unsigned foil is $0.49/each.
>>
>>4991343
>that price for a single card
Man, I need to get back into buying tcg boxes in bulk and selling the rare cards I pull. I made 200 bucks off a single ghost rare Winged Dragon of Ra last year doing that.
>>
>>4991484
If you’re lucky, it’s a good idea. Sealed boxes go from like $50-$500, depending on the set.
>>
>>4991475
pft. Fucking dumb. A scribble on a card and suddenly it's worth more than enough to feed a family for a few months. Bullshit.
>>
>>4991534
Yes. But the signed cards have their own unique style, different arts, and there are currently only 4 different cards that are this signed rarity. Gohan, DBS Trunks, Hit, and Vegito Blue are the four Special Rare Signatures from the 7th series. They’re I think one in a thousand booster boxes rare. But honestly I’d rather get the cheap versions to actually shuffle into a deck and play
>>
Reminder that there we will NOT be continuing this episode today, but next weekend
>>
>>4992031
Take your time GD, we'll be waiting.
>>
Six posts in on the Chilli intermission, hopefully I’ll get this one in tonight. This will show what all Chilli was up to BEFORE this tournament starts and why he won’t win
>>
>>4992831
It's cause he spent too much time fuckin innit? Ain't he know bout dat seam hang redemption shizz?
>>
>>4992831
Well of course he won't win. Killing your opponent is an automatic disqualification isn't it?
>>
>>4992834
English please? Someone?
>>4992850
Yes. But he’s fighting a dangerous threat to the Crimson Demons, and I’m probably not finishing it until late tomorrow/Monday at this rate. But it’s going to be a good one.
>>
>>4992922
>English please? Someone?
Verily. It was said that "he" being in this instance Chili was performing and with frequency sexual activities. And queried the breadth of knowledge he had on the topic of the concept of abstaining from aforementioned promiscuous endeavors and its alleged effects on the physical/psychological status of the one adhering to its tenants.
>>
>>4992922
So who's gonna be acting as a referee for the matches?
I'd suggest Karn, but there's too much potential for a conflict of interest given how he's related to a few of the competitors.
Same goes for Bardock and Nappa.
Maybe Ubo would be a good pick? Or Galick?
Or is Vox gonna bring in somebody from the Dreadzone since he's organizing and broadcasting the event?
>>
>>4992951
Thanks. I like a good Bri’ish accent, but fuck trying to read it when it’s typed.
>>4993074
That would be spoiling the surprise if I told you now. But it won’t be Karn.
>>
I'm reading the Super manga now and am up to chapter 61; Vegeta has shown up and is fighting Moro.

Holy shit. Karn needs to get himself to the Yardrat planet. That Forced Spirit Fission would fuck with the Time Patrollers so hard.

Xeno Goku and Xeno Vegeta pop in, thinking they're hot shit as they fuse to fight (and overpower) Chaya as Gogeta. Then, BAM, Karn punches them in the face a couple of times, and forces the fusion to split back into a pair of bitches to be mopped up by Best-daughter (or is that Caulifla?).
>>
>>4994548
We already kinda did that. When we DDF'd Vegito.
>>
>>4994712
Fair point.
>>
>>4994548
Getting to that world will be an...interesting experience, depending on who goes.
>best daughter
They’re ALL best daughter, from Future Chaya to Okira.
>>
>>4995040
Since it's been slow for a minute, I figure I'd ask you some more questions.
Have any Saiyans besides Karn's children been learning under Raven and the late Guardian?
Did Bane have any other disciples besides our would-be assassin?
Have any Saiyans besides Karn, Broly, and Parsla inherited the Berserker genes?
Would B7 actually be allowed to participate in the tournament?
Will the Jiralhanae be allowed to enter as well?
Will Tatsu and Tomi be allowed to fight as Tomitsu?
Are there any potential upgrades we can acquire for the Gravity Hammer?
Is Ubo aware of his weakness to Kryptonite yet?
Has Future Chaya been thinking about trying to learn how to use her Dragon Force?
How fast is The Dark spreading underneath New Salda?
>>
>>4995307
One or three
Potentially
>Parsla
She hasn’t necessarily, as you’ve(ooc, not ic) only seen her in the Wrath state. Which technically any Saiyan can potentially harness.

-Saiyan Conqueror Quest 162 Intermission-

AGE 750, CRIMSON DEMON VILLAGE

“C’mon hun, time to wake up.” you hear your wife’s voice, then what sounds like the door opens and the aroma of cooked food washes over you. Opening your eyes against the early dawn glow, you see Megumin walkimg in holding a tray of what smells like cooked meats. Sitting yp as she walks over, your wife sets the wide tray in your lap and climbs in bed too. “I made breakfast.”
“You’re the best Megu.” you say, the two of you sharing a quick kiss before you dig in. And as you eat, you can’t help but wonder what the occasion is. Usually you’re up first, fixing the both of you breakfast while Megu’s still fast asleep. But you hold in that question, savoring the admittedly good breakfast she made. But once it’s done, you sighing out in contentment, you decide that’s enough of a wait. “What’s the occasion?”

“Did you forget already?” she asks, a teasing note to her voice. “Today’s the day of that tournament you told me about.”
“Oh that’s right!” you say, suddenly remembering what Chaya’d told you last time you were back at your parents’ home. “That’s today?”
“I just double checked, and he said it is.” Megumin answers. “But due to our differences in timezones, we’re about 2 hours ahead of the New Salda city’s time. So we have a little bit before we have to go.”
“Two hours, huh?” you ask, getting out of bed and dressing. “I think I can finish that new magic item prototype I’ve been working on for your dad to start selling before then.”
“Are you sure?” she asks, as you sit on the bed and pull your boots on. “Won’t you need your full power for the tournament?”

“Nah, I probably won’t get the chance to.” you reply, standing up as she holds your robe out. You nod graciously, slipping into it as you keep talking. “Besides, that’s a bit unfair, don’t you think? Using magic against people who can’t use magic back?”
“I guess.” she answers, you waving your hand and pulling your staff towards you. It springs to life in your hand, the pale crystal blade radiating with deathly power. After a second of focus you deactivate the scythe blade, and are about to walk out your door when Megumin coughs a little to get your attention. You turn around, seeing her wearing just your wide-brimmed archwizard hat and grinning. You can’t help but grin back, gingerly wrapping your arms around your wife’s slender frame and kissing her.

“Hehe. When it’s about time I’ll come get you, okay?” she says while taking yout hat off, and puts it on your head while pressing herself against you. “Yunyun and I are gonna get the bear from Chekera, then we’ll hopefully finish designing the living room before coming to watch.”
>>
>>4995572
“Oh you’re coming to watch?” you ask, Megumin nodding as you let go, letting her get dressed as well. “Well now I can’t just go out and lose, not with you cheering me on.”
“Haha go on already, ot you’re gonna be late.” she says, as she begins binding her leg. You still aren’t sure why she does it, but you’re not exactly the guy to ask about fashion either. So you give her a final forehead kiss and take off, walking to the front door and sliding it open into the early dawn sun.

Stretching once more in the early glow you look down on the Crimson Demon village, a smile coming to your face. They are your adoptive family, and from up on the side of the mountain you can look fown on them like a watchful protector. As you do you wonder of that’s how your dad feels, when looking down on the Saiyan city from the air? All these people counting on you to handle the threats their powers alone cannot. Taking to the air you fly down, easily riding the wind instead of teleporting simply because you enjoy the flight. Lowering down near your father-in-law’s store you wave to a few of Megumin’s former classmates, who all wave back before you land and walk around to the store’s back entrance. And as you open the door, suddenly a trio of crimson lightning bolts suddenly streak towards you!

“Reverberate!” you call, using your magic to copy the lightning bolts and fire them back. Energy crackles against magical enery for a second or two until the magical trap runs out of power, the lightning then dying out as if it’d never been.
“Not bad. Not a true counterspell, but a very efficient answer.” Hyoizaburoo says, stepping around the doorframe. “Morning.”
“Morning.” you reply easily, walking in as he moves the spent trap totem aside. “Still needs to be a little faster activating, but I think we’re on the right path with it.”
“Do need to tweak the ranges a bit, and make it something that renters in the big cities like Axel can use.” he continues, nodding at the now-dormant totem. “But I think these’ll be a big hit.”

“Is burglary really such a common thing in the cities?” you ask again. Despite what he’d told you before, you just can’t picture people trying to sneak into your home to take your stuff.
“Sadly yes. When so many people gather, those with ill-intent can hide much easier.” he says as the two of you make your way into the workshop proper. “But what’re you doing here? Don’t you have your big tournament back home?”
“I do, but still have a few hours.” you answer, hanging your hat and robe by the door. “So I figured I could spend an hour or two, and try to get some of the problems worked out on the Resilient Sphere.”
“Oh, I see. Then let’s get to it.” he says, rolling up his sleeves. “I still have a few of the empty orbs.”
>>
>>4995559
HYPE
>>
>>4995573
“So I was thinking about it last night, and I think I figured one of the biggest problems.” you tell him, coating your right hand with your crystal magic. “Sure making a shield out of crystal is extremely durable, and not much can penetrate it.”

You then close your hand, shattering the crystal armor and scattering the slivers all over the floor.

“But it can be broken with enough blunt force.” you continue, then gesture to the ground. “And even with the source of magic cut off, the crystals will still stick around for quite awhile. So it’s less of a personal shield, and more of a cursed trap.”
“Yes, it’s quite a problem.” he says. “Even if I add my Enhancement magic your crystals, it can’t change how they work. I can only add to something, not change how it works on a fundamental level.”
“No, but I think I’ve figured out a solution.” you say with a smirk, focusing magic into both open palms. In your right hand you focus and create a pinpoint of Light magic, it radiating with blinding brilliance. And in your left create it’s opposite, a hole of absolute Darkness. “We’ve been thinking about this shield all wrong. Instead of trying to stop everything with raw force and power, how about something with a bit more potential?”

“Wait, light and dark magics? You’re really going to try it?” he asks, sounding worried. But you’re ready, this will work. Focusing both of your magics you turn, reaching out and grabbing one of the empty orbs. As you do, the enchanted glass begins pulling both of your magical orbs inside simultaneously. You focus on your magic, envisioning and shaping the seperate, opposite magics into forming the united shield you’d dreamed of the night before. Then both light and dark are sucked into the orb, slamming into each other. You feel the orb in your hands trembling from their clash, and if you didn’t balance the spell perfectly, one side would win instead of the two opposites balancing each other. Unfortunately, it seems you missed it on your first attempt. After seven seconds the darkness vanishes, erased by the light and rendering the orb useless.

“Dammit.” you sigh, gingerly setting the orb back down inside the socket on the table. “That one isn’t the shield I wanted.”
“Hold on, before you try again.” Hyoizaburoo says seriously, you turning to face him fully to see the older man’s brow furrowed and eyes narrowed. “Tell me; exactly what kind of shield are you trying to make?”
“A shield that’s almost impossible to defeat.” you tell him, focusing your magic and preparing to re-conjure the magical orbs into your open palms. “By utilizing both light and dark, I will create a shield that protects you in time.”
>>
>>4995578
“The way it works, thanks to what I’ve read about and tested on my own, is that the Light is related to time. But without light, in pure Dark, there is also no time.” you say, snapping the fingers on your left hand and conjuring your tome gifted to you by the Final Scribe Jergal. As it touches your hand, that arm becomes transparent, leaving only the bones visible up past your elbow and midway up your bicep. Flipping through your pages you turn to the pages marked with the relations of Light and Dark, Heat and Cold, and most importantly Life and Death. Holding the book out to him, you see Hyoizaburoo seemingly studying it as you continue. “So by combining these two forces, I will create an item that allows one perfect protection from any attack by stepping through time itself.”

“Stepping through time?” he asks, looking from the book to you. “Can you really do such a thing?”
“It wouldn’t be the first time.” you answer. “I did manage to fix my sister’s sword using a similar set of spells, just utilized differently. For that I had to create a timeless space of Dark, and then drain the light, thereby removing time on the weapon until it was restored to it’s previous glory. Had I tried any other sort of time magic to “undo” the damage only, then the weapon would have still deteriorated and fallen to pieces the same way, just later than it had and without any clear source of damage.”
“You...You used Chaos magic. To not simply rewind, but to actually undo time itself on a weapon?” he asks, face going pale. And suddenly you aren’t quite as sure of yourself as you were a moment ago, seeing the actual fear in his eyes. “Do you know what you’ve done?”

“I do.” you reply evenly, remembering what that old demon had told you. The weak fear that which they cannot control or understand, while the truly strong seek to master such forces and bend the universe itself to their will. “I changed it’s fate. Just like my dad did to himself, somehow, years ago.”
“Wait, what?” he asks, but before he can elaborate a sudden alarm sounds.
“ATTENTION! All mages, to arms!” the automated alarm system shouts out. “Ancient White Dragon sighted approaching the village! I repeat: Ancient White Dragon approaching!”
“Dammit! We have-!” he starts but you’re already on the move, rushing over and grabbing your cloak and hat where you’d left them and dash out the door. Slinging your robe on you fly straight into the air, expanding your ki sense and immediately sensing the quite large powerlevel approaching. Turning you see the large, pale beast flying towards your home. It clearly sees you, and roars out in challenge.

“GRRRRRROOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAR!!”
>>
>>4995582
“I’ve found it. Tell everyone to stay back, and focus on protecting the village from any collateral.” you think to Hiropon, Yunyun’s father and Chief of the Crimson Demons. “I’ll take it down myself.”
“Are you sure? he replies telepathically, you sensing his uncertainty. “Dragons are extremely powerful, and-!”
“I’ll handle it.” you answer, ending the link and focusing on the target before you. This big lizard is going down! Clutching your staff in both hands, you begin channeling your magic as you plan to end this in one blow. “Crystal Magic: Shining Reaper!”

Crystals begin growing and shaping, rapidly forming a giant, several yards-long staff, ending in a wide, razor-sharp blade longer than you are tall. Motes of magical energy, almost line snowfall on a peaceful day slowly drop off your scythe, you pulling the magical weapon back by your side and prepare to charge.

“GRRRRROOOOOAAAAAAAAAR!!” the dragon roars again, this time firing a cone of freezing energy towards you.
“UP HERE!!” you shout while dashing higher into the sky, forcing it to fire more upwards instead of possibly towards the village. The cone of icy wins follows you, and once the dragon is firing directly up into the air you attack. Dashing down around the cone of cold you close the distance, flipping and spinning around the ice and swinging your giant blade for it’s neck. “DIE!!”

With your spin you pull, aiming to decapitate the scaled beast with a single strike. You feel your blade strike it’s neck, and to your shock, instead of slicing through it’s scales it shatters!

“WHAT?!” you shout, the dragon ending it’s icy wind and with a twist lunges to devour you. As it’s gaping maw approaches you fo the only thing you can think of, and dash inside it’s mouth! You charge, thrusting the jagged, broken end of your crystal scythe square into the back of it’s mouth. The dragon unleashes an impossibly agonized screech, you breaking your staff free and leaping back out of it’s mouth.
“Chilli, dragon scales are resistant to magical damage!” Chief Hiropon thinks back to you. “And with their hardness, most physical attacks cannot cut through them either!”

“Tch! Now you tell me.” you mutter, getting some more distance between you two as the dragon roars at the sky. It unleashes another cone of freezing wind, you seeing your jagged spear of crystal blasted out after a few seconds. You then realize you can’t feel your hands, looking down and seeing a layer of frost has formed over your staff and hands before you telepathically reply. “Physical damage, huh? Well then, let’s see how it handles this!”

Focusing on channeling your magic again, darkness begins rising from you and gathering all around your staff as the dragon turns it’s focus back to you, and it roars.
>>
>>4995584
“Dark Magic: Black Hole!!” you shout, creating that fist-sized point of infinite darkness and gravity between you both. And instead of getting caught in the creature’s frigid storm, all that energy is instead absorbed into that dark void. The beast realizes what’s happening, and stops its frosty attack. Only then do you see it, the dragon’s entire body trembling as it resists the pull. But as you watch, it’s eyes begin to seemingly blaze with azure flames. And suddenly you feel tremendous pressure in your mind, and your Black Hole ends. “What? No way!”

“Look out Chilli! Ancient dragons can wield powerful, and sometimes unknown magics!” Chief Hiropon telepathically informs you. “Be careful!”
“Dammit! Looks like I don’t have a choice then.” you answer him, clenching your fists and focusing your ki as you end the mental link with a roar. “HRRRRAAAAAAAA!!!”

Your golden aura blazes up around you, sparks dancing throughout your tremendous aura as you take on your Ascended Super Saiyan form. Whereas your Black Hole was pulling the beast in, the shockwaves of you transforming blasts it back away.

“I’m ending this.” you snarl, hanging your staff back inside your robe and taking your fighting stance. But only for a moment, blitzing forward and driving your right fist square into it’s snout. Bones and scales crunch, the dragon recoiling and roaring in pain from your strike. You then raise your left hand overhead, focusing your ki into the attack Cell’d taught you. You take a pinpoint of ki, expanding it out into an infinitely-sharp plane of ki forming a spinning disc. And that’s where it would stop, normally. But you’ve enhanced that earthling-developed attack, creating your own, super variant. The disc rapidly expands, more than doubling it’s diameter as you focus your ki to it. “Super Destructo Dis-What?!”

“GRRRRRRRRRRAAAAAA!!” the dragon snarls, and again your attack simply vanishes! Your invested ki simply disappears, disappearing as if it never were. You glare at the still-blazing eyes of the beast, feeling your fury rising. This bastard is just wasting your time and energy, you need to put an end to this.
“You’re really pissing me off!” you roar, again closing the distance between you and the dragon and giving a powerful left uppercut to the beast’s jaw. But the moment your fist strikes it, giant jawbone shattering, you suddenly feel your entire body swiftly being covered in ice! “N-No w-!”

And you’re frozen solid, trapped inside a block of ice. Unable to move, you and your personal icecube begin dropping straight down out of the sky. But something like this isn’t enough to down anything but slow you down.

“HAAAAAAAAA!!!”
>>
>>4995588
With a roar you unleash your energy, golden ki shattering the ice surrounding you. The dragon’s blue-aura’d glare is fixated on you, the beast snarling as it readies perhaps it’s next attack. But you’re done half-assing and trying to conserve power, you’re ending this right here and now!

“That’s it!” you snarl, throwing your arms wide as you begin gathering your ki. “This next attack will end this!”
“GRRRROOOOOAAAAAAAAR!!!” it bellows, again firing it’s cone of icy wind at you. Once more you blitz up towards the sun, weaving around the dragon’s blast while continuously pouring more and more ki into your open palms. After a dozen seconds or so of being unable to hit you, the dragon’s attack ends. And this is the moment you’d been waiting for! Leaving an afterimage behind, you dash full speed below the dragon, straight to the ground and landing with a crash. As you do, the dragon’s azure-flamed glare blazes to life once more, banishing your afterimage as if it wasn’t there. This confuses the dragon, it sweeping it’s gaze around in the sky as you continue charging up your absolute strongest attack stolen from the Time Patrol.

“This’ll end it!” you roar, slamming your wrists together and mixing the two powerful orbs of ki. As they merge you twist your upper body clockwise, hands shifting their hold on the dramatically expanding well of ki you’ve readied to unleash. And unleash it you do, roaring out your attack’s name for the whole world to witness while firing straight up at the dragon. “FINAL KAMEHAMEHAAAAA!!!”

Your blue and golden beam explodes from your hands with so much force you’re knocked down to a knee, struggling to keep your attack aimed at the dragon and not let it overwhelm you. Yet despite the trouble you’re having with it, you can clearly sense that you’re faring far better. You barely feel the dragon hit your attack, the colossal beast’s weight insignificant before your tremendous power. Carried up further and further, your beam nearly launches the beast out of the atmosphere itself before you feel what’s left of it fall off your attack. Ending the beam you drop to your hands and knees, struggling to catch your breath after burning so much power. You haven’t unleashed an attack like that at full power in awhile, leaving you gasping for air. But you did it, there’s no way the beast could have survived that. You’d have to be immortal at his powerlevel to survive such a hit. But then, where is it?

KABOOM
>>
>>4995590
Immediately after having that thought, the ancient dragon’s corpse slams into the ground right in front of you. The shockwave from the impact sends you flying, flipping backwards over and over as you tumble uncontrollably over the ground. Snarling you throw your arms and legs out, fortunately facing the ground and dig both hands and feet into the muddy soil to slow yourself. Sliding back a dozenish feet before finally coming to a stop, you quickly stand back up and look over to inspect the damage. However the beast’s impact site is still smoking from dropping from almost space, burning up a bit on reentry like a space pod.

“You’d better be dead.” you mutter, shaking the mud off and walking back over to the dragon’s crash site. Having one ancient dragon’s worth of rare components is nice, but having two is twice as nice. As you have these thoughts, approaching the crater, suddenly you realize it’s still breathing! Shallow, pained breaths, but the creature is still not dead! “Dammit!”

Aura flaring as you raise your power back up, you jump into the air, looking down on the dragon. And while it’s still breathing, you instantly recognize it won’t be for much longer. The titanic beast landed on it’s left side, breaking it’s legs and wing as well as severe internal damage. Judging by the blood streaming out of it’s mouth. But the moment you leap into the air, it’s one eye immediately fixates on you. And you see that the beast is now terrified, trying to force itself up, to try and fight back against it’s fate. But you can sense that the beast’s time has come, thanks to your connection to Jergal. Snapping your left hand’s fingers, the magic tome springs to life in your open hand while your arm appears to turn skeletal simply by holding the tome. You fly down, placing your hand on the beast’s head, and think to it a simple question.

“What is your name?” your mind sends into the dragon’s, who’s eye widens in shock. But you get a response, the dragon calling itself “Chilalea”. You close your eyes and nod, drawing your staff from your robe with your right. “Your name will be recorded. Now, rest.”

Chilalea sighs out, a noise of sadness but also acceptance. It entrusts you, as a servant of The Final Scribe to bring it’s remaining life to a swift and merciful end.

“Death Magic: Reaper’s Mercy.” you say, the blade of your staff taking on a ghostly hue and nearly doubling in length as you swing it straight down. The magic guided your arm, striking precisely where it needs to to end this dragon’s life. Your blade easily pierces through the scaled hide this time, except the ephemeral blade strikes not just flesh and blood, but targeting Chilalea’s soul directly and severs that bond. This attack seperates a being’s soul from it’s dying body, sending the soul directly to the afterlife and leaving you here with the empty husk of a body. You immediately sit down, drawing it’s blood into your quill as you begin writing Chilalea’s name down in the tome, as well as how it died. “May you find your peace.”

Once the ritual is completed, you close the tome, and with a snap of your fingers send it back to the small altar in yours and Megumin’s bedroom. That done you rise to your feet, and try to figure out how best to carry it’s valuable corpse back to the village. Because you’re still feeling a bit tired, despite the few minutes you took sitting down and cataloguing Chilalea’s death, you aren’t sure you just want to throw it over your shoulders and lift off. But suddenly, as you sit there pondering, you sense a ki trying to hide itself sneaking up behind you!

“DEATH SLASH!!” you roar, whirling and firing the slashing blade of ki behind you. As the blade travels, suddenly it strikes something invisible that it cannot pierce through!? And to your horror, an invisible being begins materializing before you. Standing several feet taller than you, and wearing a suit of battle-damaged armor stands a Sangheili warrior! His sword’s two blades are pressed against the Death Slash, then he angles his sword and sends your blade flying up over his head harmlessly.
“Little Saiyan.” he growls, drawing one of their curved pistols in his left. “You will pay for the sins of your father with your blood!”
“I don’t have time for you!” you snarl, drawing your staff and letting it’s ghostly crystal blade materialize. “Dark Magic: Dark Slash.”

Swinging your staff horizontally, you fire another slashing blade at him. But this time, instead of a blade of ki, you launch a blade of dark magic at the same spot. Once again the Sangheili tries blocking it, but your dark magic cannot be stopped by physical defenses. And so your blade slices clean through him, the splitjaw falling into two pieces at your feet.

“Chilli, is everything o-What is that?” Megumin asks, as she and Yunyun suddenly appear via teleportation by your side. “Wait. Is that-?”
“The Covenant.” you answer, the fear and worry you’d stuffed down flooding back at full force. This is bad. This is really, really bad.

Chilli is certainly thinking overtime. He scoured the planet looking for it’s ship after that, and blew it straight to hell once he found it. Then went back to his village, and erected his emergency defenses.

Chilli is the only one of our kids to learn proper ruthlessness and paranoia, and while the reasons he developed such are terrible, I'm proud hes putting his lessons to good use.

Yes. More than a little paranoid, thanks to his life experiences to this point, but he’s a good kid.
>>4995700
Ha.

You don’t develop such things for no reason
>>
>>4995737
GD, I thought about something with Energy Body as a passive. What if we were to divide it into 'sections', that way we could remove only the 'sections' necessary when firing Ki blasts, and thus retain most of our protection? Would that be a viable thing for Karn to do with it?
>>
>>4995795
Would require a lot more time than you have now for such a thing
>>
Dumb question just for the sake of curiosity, but can Grade 2 and/or 3 be applied to the higher forms like 3, Primal, Apex, Berserker, Legendary and the godly forms.
>>
>>4996124
You have not seen. But I will say that the divine forms operate differently than the others, and work on a more metaphysical level. As we saw with Vegeta, and his Evolved Blue state
>>
>>4995592
Chilli needs to get back into proper training soon. This dragon was way to effective against his usual methods. Embrace Monkey Tradition, hit hard, then hit harder. Pretty neat to see him doing his Reaper Job.

This is pretty neat too, how Chilli needs to do the paper work for his kills.

He just hasn’t had need to use his higher-imput attacks since the Hive War, and even then he was more focused on precision and conserving both energy and magic.
And yes it is. Recording the deaths of the slain is imperative to the Final Scribe, who documents deaths until there are no more to record.
Remember, during the last minutes of High Charity’s existence and the close of the Great War, everyone was scrambling to escape. Of course someone would find several extremely high Saiyan powerlevel pings coming from a backwater planet; and try to ambush the Saiyans. This isn’t the only planet rogue assassins have appeared on.
And some of you thought Nefarious was a tenacious pain-in-the-ass recurring villain.
>>4996578
He showed up for the tournament, after activating his emergency defenses and bringing both the dragon and Sangheili’s corpses to Hiropon. Not much of a spoiler to say the entire village was locked down, and everyone meticulously searched for any other threats.

QM UPDATE/QUESTIONS

So a bit of news, and then onto some questions. First, a longtime good friend of mine is getting married next week, and asked me to be his best man. The poor bastard. So the epilogue for next week, which I’ve already started on in the meantime starring Arctus and what he’s been up to, will be out next Wednesday instead of the usual Thursday due to my being in the wedding party. Wish him luck guys.

And onto less of my personal business, and more of you all: how have you been enjoying this arc so far? Enjoying all the different exposition and worldbuilding we’ve gotten? Satisfied with the choices we’ve made to make Karn the man he’s become up to this point, and ready to see how he’ll turn out after these upcoming seven years of training? Speaking of training, what are you hoping to see with the kids and your students as well? Which ally’s growth are you most excited to see, and which potential upcoming fights are you wanting to see?
>>
>>4997892
>how have you been enjoying this arc so far?
It's been a little slow, but I figure that's the point. The calm before the storm and all that.
>Enjoying all the different exposition and worldbuilding we’ve gotten?
It's nice to see old plot elements touched on again, as well as seeing the Saiyan Race and Planet Sadala get more fleshed out.
>Satisfied with the choices we’ve made to make Karn the man he’s become up to this point
No, but that's only because there's still so much more we can do even now. Sure, a fair amount of paths have been closed off, but there's still plenty left to travel.
>ready to see how he’ll turn out after these upcoming seven years of training?
I'm ready to see Karn knock the wind out of Beerus' lanky ass.
>Speaking of training, what are you hoping to see with the kids and your students as well?
For our students, I want them all to meet that minimum powerlevel threshhold. Ideally we'd also get at least a handful of the current Super Saiyans to actually master the first stage of the transformation.
As for the kids, I just hope they get a chance to learn how to fight proper. God knows how soft they'd grow up to be if all they ever did was train at home.
>Which ally’s growth are you most excited to see
Boros and Cooler have always interested me. I love seeing cocky motherfuckers get taken down a peg and come back better than ever.
>and which potential upcoming fights are you wanting to see?
Broly vs Chilli would probably be a hell of a fight to witness.
Parsla vs Kakarot would also be neat to see, if only to expose the Wrathful transformation to the Saiyan populace.
Outside of the tournament, I think a proper rematch between Karn and Ubo has been a long time coming.
Ideally it'd happen after we managed to unlock Berserker 3, but who knows, maybe that kind of trial by fire is exactly what we'd need to do so in the first place.
And then there's Meloka vs Beerus. If he thought fighting Karn was bothersome, fighting Meloka is gonna be a pain in his ass.
>>
>>4997908
>but I figure that's the point.
True. The training arc shouldn’t be as chaotic as the war was
Always good
I think you missed the point of the question.
Beerus’s arrival will be a fun arc. And I’ll say this, our Battle of Gods will not be much like canon. His catnap being around twenty years shorter may have different effects on the catman.
Making the students not only strong but competent fighters is a priority. As for the kids, Caulifla, Broly and Chilli got excellent hands-on war experience. Whereas Tatsu and Tomi have the most Saiyan on Saiyan(s) combat due to protecting their siblings.
Boros is busy ruling his empire, and still rebuilding from all the damage Kars dealt.
As for Cooler, well. We’ll see.
With both holding back, not really. Neither would feel able to go all out.
>Parsla
Hoo boy, this tournament is going to be fun.
As for Beerus, when he appears the battle is going to be far more dramatic since you won’t be playing as Karn.

So with the advent of Super Saiyan Rosé Full Power, pic related, is there a mortal equivalent to the form?
I mean something past Super Saiyan 3, but not quite Primal.

>>
>>4998859
>blah blah more forms blah blah hair blah blah colors
It's so tiresome. Why can't we have cool transformations any more? So tiresome.
>>
>>4998921
This is for an arcade game marketed towards small children. You shouldn't be expecting any amount of effort.
>>
>>4998926
I just expect better.
>>
>>4998921
New forms CAN be good. But that depends mostly on the how and why they get them. Which is why both Super Saiyan God and 4 are so much better than Blue.
>>
>>4998921
>Why can't we have cool transformations any more?
You’re going to get more layers of Super Saiyan and you’re going to like it! But in all seriousness, I don’t think you can expect too much originality from a cash-grab arcade game.
>>
>>4998956
Since our choice has long since been picked, it's time to ask the ultimate question.

QM UPDATE

Already two posts in on this episode’s epilogue, and Arctus certainly hasn’t been slacking. Both mechanically and in his own training. Your allies continue to grow stronger
>>
>>4998859
I like to think its a thing but like >>4998890 said Black is operating on divine logic. So if we try to shoot for our own variant of Berserker Full Power (This form really needs a better name) or just Berserker 3 Full Power (Cumber's version) it'll have its own hurdles and requirements to achieve.

On the flipside it would be a good bridging point to either Berserker God or Primal Berserker.

Previously on Saiyan Conqueror Quest:

After battling and defeating the long-sealed god Shinnok deep within the Guardian’s Armory alongside Raven, Karn then discovered his crew uncertain of Chaya’s fate were she to battle against her newly-empowered friend Tanya, a week of training went by peacefully. Then Karn learned it was finally time for the Dreadzone tournament, hosted by Vox and King Vegeta to find the strongest young warrior on the planet. As we rejoin Karn, you and your family have followed Chaya to the usual arena. Where a surprisingly large crowd has already formed.

“Looks like things are nearly about to start.” your old man Tatsu says. “Will be interesting to see how this little tournament progresses.”
“That it will.” you reply, and catching King Vegeta’s eye notice there’s a space cleared out by him that’s large enough for your family. But instead of just claiming ut you reach out, and think to the Saiyan King. “Morning. Those spots taken?”
“Of course not, come on over.” he replies, ending the link then turning to talk to Nappa about something. You take the lead and fly down, Meloka and most of your children coming with you. However, you notice Chaya, Broly, Tatsu, Tomi, and Caulifla all fly off seperately. Focusing on their signatures you sense them flying towards a rather sizeable group of powerlevels, with Raven there amongst them. Curious. “Morning. I wasn’t sure you’d be coming to watch today’s event.”
“Wasn’t told it was happing, until this morning.” you answer him, you sitting to Vegeta’s left, and Meloka sitting to yours. “So, a tournament, huh?”

“Something Chaya came to me with, and I’ve been speaking to Vox about.” Vegeta replies, then wordlessly thinks to you. “Reading between the lines, I think he’s either building up Chaya’s ego to have her lose a big fight soon, or trying to get her to realize she needs to train harder and apply herself more before she does.”
“You’re surprisingly not the first with that concern.” you reply, also telepathically before speaking again out loud. “So, what’s the prize?”
“You’ll have to wait and see.” he says with a bit of a smirk. You’re about to press him further, when suddenly Raven thinks to you both. However, before she can say anything Vegeta asks her, “Everyone ready?”
“Almost. All the competitors are now here, but I haven’t yet heard from-“ she starts, then freezes mid-sentence as you all feel it. A tremendous powerlevel is rapidly approaching New Salda! But before you can prepare yourself to fight, you feel that you recognize that distinct, powerful ki.

Freeza is here!
cont
>>
>>5001081
No sooner do you realize who’s approaching then you see him, blazing down towards the arena at blinding speeds. Yet he slows himself expertly, coming to a stop without his entry so much as cracking a single tile of the arena floor. But the displaced atmosphere blasts out from him, winds whipping like a hurricane for several seconds. And once it’s over, everyone present sees the Golden visage of this universe’s current strongest.

“Greetings, my loyal subjects!” Freeza calls, projecting his voice over the crowd without the need of any sort of microphone. “Today are gathered here to witness the next generation show their mettle! The future of your world, and by extention the entire Planetary Trade Organization will be shaped by the growing strength of the warriors you shall witness today! Remember their names, these up-and-coming heroes, as they show you all what they can do!”

And as if on cue, which knowing who’s involved it was, Raven’s portal opens up beside him, and the young Saiyans begin walking through. Chaya leads the way, followed immediately by Broly and Chilli, then more than sixty other young fighters come through. There is surprisingly not an insurmountable difference between the more powerful ones like Chaya and Broly, and the weakest of them. At least in their base forms. And even more surprising, to both you and the crowd is seeing that bringing up the rear are two not fully Saiyan faces. First is Ticho, the half-Tamaranean, orange-complexion’d daughter of Turles and Komand’r. And second, somehow even stronger than her is a young woman who suspiciously resembles that Ctarl-Ctarl woman you’ve come to blows with on occasion. Interesting, it seems that not only Turles has gone outside your own race to mate.

Raven then shuts the portal at the arena floor, and opens another much smaller, less conspicuous one by you. Allowing Megumin, along with her friend and fellow magic-user Yunyun to step though. Which is a surprise, but not an unpleasant one.

“Good to see you, Megumin.” Meloka addresses the young arch-wizard and daughter-in-law warmly. “Everything going well?”
“No. We have a real problem back home.” Megumin says, you realizing the young woman’s looking far more worried and pale than she’s ever seemed before. “Chilli got attacked by a splitjaw.”

“New Salda! I need your help!” you think to your planet’s avatar, worry setting in. If the remnants found Chilli, way out in the space boonies, then there could be more here than the one who tried assassinating you the other day. “We have a problem!”
“Of course.” New Salda’s booming voice echoes out in your mind, and from the soles of your feet feel power surging up into you. But this power isn’t what you need. You focus on your ki sense, and feeling your mind expand. Your senses grow exponentially, allowing you to sense the ki of every single living being on New Salda. But not just the other Saiyans, Jiralhanae, and Rak’kari, but absolutely everything from the largest kis like Freeza to a single blade of grass outside of the ring. “What is the problem?”

“Chilli got attacked by a splitjaw back on his planet.” you reply, feeling out each and every power searching for beings who don’t belong. “So I’m making sure there aren’t any of them here.”
“I see.” your planet replies, you ruling out the forests and underwater and focusing your senses on the city. You feel hundreds of ki that don’t belong, but as you observe them you realize most of them aren’t anywhere close to being on the level of a Sangheili warrior. Back in the war they averaged around a sevem to low eight digit powerlevel, and from the city you sense only a few standout non-Saiyans anywhere close to that level. You sense that four-armed bruiser calling himself a dragon is still hanging around, only now there are a few other powers around half of his own powerlevel by him. Then closer to the palace, near Bardock and a couple of the Royal Guard are another two decently powerful 8-digit powers, but Bardock hasn’t even transformed so they can’t be that threatening. And the final group of are actually here in the arena, you turning and seeing a small group of the catlike Ctarl-Ctarl all grouped together cheering their young competitor. But fortunately, you don’t find a single Covenant remnant sneaking around on your planet.

“A splitjaw? All the way out there?” Meloka asks, as you thank New Salda and end the link. “What happened?”
“Well, our village got attacked by another giant dragon.” she says. “Chilli killed it, and then the bastard tried assassinating him.”
“Bastards!” Meloka snarls, golden aura flaring up around her a bit. You feel your own anger rising as well, but what now? There aren’t any Sangheili on New Salda.

“What happened after that?” you ask her seriously. “Does your village have any defenses capable of warding off a Sangheili attack, or should I head over and keep an eye out while you and Chilli are here?”
“No, Chilli took care of everything.” she says with a small smile. “He wouldn’t leave until he finished setting up his defenses.”
“His defenses? Like what?” Meloka asks, curious.
“He set up defensive magic greater than anything I’ve ever seen!” she says, eyes shining in wonder. “He used his crystal magic to create giant walls around the entire village! They’re thick too, and high enough that you’d have to fly over. He had to borrow a buncha magic power from everyone, but he did it!”

“No way!”
“That’s cool!” Maza and Kayle both shout, sounding excited and turning to you. “Can we go see?”
“Can we? Can we?” Kayle asks, both of the younger kids looking to you.
“Maybe after this is over.” you say, then Freeza again calls out to the audience.
“Now, before we begin, allow me to go over the rules our competitors have agreed to.” he shouts, gesturing to them. “All matches are untimed, first to fall out of the ring or stay down for a ten count loses. Any Super Saiyan transformation is allowed, however you must take the form you’ll fight in before the match begins. And if you lose your transformation before the match is concluded, you are also disqualified. Now, do all of you understand the rules?”
“Yes sir!” all sixty plus young Saiyans shout, everyone saluting but Ticho and the half-Ctarl-Ctarl.

“Good. Now, time for the tournament bracket to be decided!” he shouts, turning and looking to your right. You and the rest of the audience turn, and see a Dreadzone-logo’d giant screen floating with the names of the competitors under their faces. You watch as they all vanish offscreen, then the screen becomes split down the middle. On both sides you watch as the two of them randomize between different competitors’ faces. But after maybe thirty seconds the first fighter is decided, showing Broly’s face on the left. “First match will be Broly. And his opponent will be....BEEN!”
“Me?” a small young woman says, pointing to herself confused. “I go first?”
“You got this!” the half-Tamaranean girl Ticho shouts excitedly, while Parsla just lays a hand on her shoulder sympathetically. All the competitors file off the stage, leaving Broly staring down the smaller woman.
“What form do you want to take?” he asks her, the young woman clenching her fists.
“HYYAAAAAAAAA!!!” she roars, golden aura blazing up around her. “You’re not the only Super Saiyan!”

What do you tell Broly?

“Hey, Broly, can you hear me?” you ask him telepathically.
“Of course. What’s wrong?” he replies, clearly sensing your unease about Chilli’s news.
“Nothing to worry about, just got some news from Megumin.” you think to him. “What I wanted to talk about is your fight. I know you can easily go full power, but I think you should challenge yourself. Try to only match her own power, and fight like that.”
“Sure.” he replies, ending the mental link as Freeza continues speaking.
“Well, Broly?” Freeza asks, Broly simply standing there relaxed. But as he does, his light emerald aura begins to blaze up around him, and without a sound takes his own, greener Super Saiyan form. “Very well. Both competitors, take your stances.”

Broly takes his stance that’s almost identical to your own, while Been’s is a more open, wide stance. You can feel the tension hanging in the air, ready to witness the fight about to go down.

“Both fighters ready?” Freeza asks, raising his right hand overhead. Both Broly and Been nod, Freeza dropping his arm with a shout. “BEGIN!!”
“HAAAAAAA!!” she roars, immediately firing a crimson beam of ki from her mouth. Broly leaps over her attack, landing behind the younger Saiyan before she realizes what happened. And with practiced precision, his knee slams into her back, a few inches more to the right than square into her spine. “GYAAAAAA!!”
“Hrrrm!” he exhales, lacing his fists together and slamming them down square into her face. The blow sends the young Beens smashing down into the arena floor, Broly then leaping back a couple yards from her. He then turns to Freeza quizzically.
“And in a quick show of dominance, Broly has downed Beens in a single hit!” the robotic announcer calls. “This may be it for the young warrior. One! Two! Three!”
“Four! Five!” the crowd joins in, chanting
along. “Six!”
“Seven! Eight! Ni-And she’s getting up!” the announcer calls, the young woman pushing herself up unsteadily to her feet. “It looks like Beens won’t be going down so easily!”

“Th-That one hurt.” she says, glaring murderously at Broly. “But I’m not done yet!”
“Show me your best.“ Broly replies, retaking his stance as she does the same. “Give me everything you have.”
“But what about the village?” Meloka asks Megumin. “They can fly over walls.”
“That’s why he made his own sun.” she replies, still sounding awed. “A black sun, which he said will illuminate anyone who gets over the walls or into the village.”
“Seems he thought of everything.” Meloka says with a smile, laying a hand on her shoulder. “How’re you holding up?”
“I’m fine.” Megumin replies, your instincts telling you she’s not telling the whole truth. But before you can question it, the battle below kicks up.

KABOOOOOOM[/b\]
cont
>>
>>5001420
Everyone’s gaze turns back to the battle, Broly and Been exchanging a rapid volley of blows. The two are swinging at the same speeds, Broly landing several straight punches to her face while blocking or evading every one of Been’s strikes. Despite the two being roughly equivalent in power, the difference in skill is clear. She doesn’t land a single blow for over a minute, Broly countering everything she has until she snarls, leaping back and throwing a wave of ki forward from her right hand.

“Again?” he replies, you sensing his own power rising. He doesn’t move, instead simply raises his left hand, and unleashes his ki. Forming an emerald dome, you see Broly’s copied your Barrier. The wave of energy crashes against it, but can’t even budge his shield. She gives it up after a few seconds, ending the beam. Broly lets his shield fade as well, the two staring each other down.
“D-Dammit. You’re strong.” Been says, chest heaving as she tries catching her breath. “But I’m not done yet! HAAAAAA!!!”

As she roars her energy begins spiking, Broly’s entire body tensing as he also senses this. But as she gathers her power, perhaps for an even more powerful attack, he suddenly moves. Dashing forward faster than she can react, Broly slams a fist square into her gut. This blow sends the girl flying, slamming back-first into the arena wall.

“Beens has landed outside the arena. The winner is Broly!” Freeza calls, to moderate cheering from the crowd. Several clearly wanted to see whatever trick Beens had up her sleeve, but most had no doubt already figured how the fight would go. “And now, for the next match!”

As Freeza turns to the floating scoreboard again, Broly hops down and gives Beens a hand. They exchange words for a few seconds, Raven’s portal appearing beside them and Beens shakes her head. Raven closes it, the two joining the other competitors on the sidelines as the next match is called. And to your surprise, it’s another of your kids stepping up to the plate. Tomi, without Tatsu, will be up against Turles and Komand’r’s half-Tamaranean daughter Ticho.

“HAAAAAAAA!!” both girls shout, golden auras erupting from them both as they transform. Ticho takes her Super Saiyan form, muscles bulked a bit more but not as much as an Ultra Saiyan while Tomi catches you by surprise, Ascending in a burst of sparks.
“This will be an interesting match.” Meloka says thoughtfully, as both take their fighting stances. Their powerlevels are quite close together, neither with an overwhelming advantage. “I wonder who’ll win?”

Well? What are your thoughts?
>Ticho has the edge in power, and you aren’t sure Tomi can do this without Ticho

“Tomi’s got this.” you say, trying to project a bit more confidence than you feel. “She may be alone this time, without Tatsu’s power, but she’s still probably got more experience fighting stronger foes.”
“You still think your girl’ll win?” Nappa asks. “Despite the fact she’s clearly weaker than her opponent?”
“Well, she’s been training against me for weeks now.” you reply to your large friend. “And I’ve been training then all to fight against far stronger opponents. So she has a reasonable chance of coming out on top.”
“Go big sis!” Kayle shouts excitedly. “You can do it!”
“Go Tomi go!” Maz shouts as well. “GOOO!”
“Both fighters ready?” Freeza asks again, then drops his hand. “Fight!”

https://youtube.com/watch?v=pkJeN-Gfta0

“Let’s go!!” Ticho bellows, immediately exploding off the ground towards your daughter and swings with a heavy right. “HRRRAAAAAA!!!”

But Tomi was ready, and with a simple Su Ma spin evades Ticho’s wild charge. Turles’ daughter tries to stop herself, nearly striking the far arena wall before changing course and blasting up into the air instead. She then makes a quick circle, turning around and again blitzing towards your daughter.

“GRRRR! Get back here!!” she roars, leaving a trail behind her as she dashes down. “HAAAAA!!”

Again she attacks with a heavy right, Tomi once more Su Ma spinning past the attack. So instead of striking your daughter, Ticho’s fist slams down into the arena itself. And, to your surprise, doesn’t destroy the entire thing. Her fist cracks and shatters the tile Tomi’d been standing on, and only that one. Which makes you wonder what they replaced the old tiles on the arena floor with? But you don’t have time to ponder it, as Tomi then goes on the attack.

“HYAAAH!!” Tomi shouts, using her clockwise spin to add momentum to a powerful turning left kick. The blow connects squarely to Ticho’s ribs, sending the young woman tumbling across the arena floor before sliding to a stop. Tomi then immediately dashes after her, Ticho rolling back onto all fours as your daughter closes in. “Too slow.”
“RRRAAAAA!!” the downed girl shouts, rising up into a right uppercut. Tomi again spins around her left counterclockwise and slams her right knee into the side of the half-Tamaranean’s head. “GYUUH!?”

Before Ticho can recover Tomi backflips, kicking her opponent in the jaw with her left foot and staggering her. Tomi lands on all fours, pushing off the ground and driving her right elbow square into Ticho’s ribs. Then she twists clockwise, turning and slamming her left shin into the half-Tamamranean’s face. Using the momentum of her spin, she turns with the kick and slams the back of Ticho’s head down into the arena floor. Your daughter flips back once, making some room as she sees Ticho laying down, unmoving. This fight may be over.

“After a vicious assault from Tomi, Ticho is down!” the announcer shouts as Freeza again begins the count.
“One. Two.” he begins, the crowd joining in as it continues. “Three! Four! Five! Six!”
“N-Not yet!” you hear, Ticho rolling over onto her front and pushing herself upwards. “I’m not done!!”
“Astounding! It seems the half-Saiyan isn’t finished!” the announcer shouts, Ticho getting a knee under her, then pushes herself up onto her feet. “This match isn’t over yet!”
“D-Dammit! That was just l-luck!” Ticho says, eyes glowing as she begins gathering her energy into both open hands. “You’re gonna pay for that!”

“Stop playing around and fight like you mean it!” you hear Komand’r shout, looking past Nappa and seeing her and Turles just inside the ring of Royal Guard around you all. “Don’t you dare lose and embarass me!”
“C’mon Ticho, you can do it!” Turles shouts, far more encouraging and less threateningly. “Give it everything you’ve got!”
“You’ve got this Tomi! Don’t let up!” Meloka shouts in response, cheering your daughter on. “You can win this!”
“Go Tomi go! Go!!” Maza and Kayle both shout, cheering on their sister.

Your daughter, hearig all of her family cheering her on doesn’t avert her gaze from Ticho, but with her left hand gives a thumbs up in your direction. You feel a smile come to your face, Ticho roaring and unleashing her power.

“HAAAAA!! HAA HAAA HAAA HAAA!!” the half-Tamaranean girl shouts, firing shot after shot at your daughter. Tomi doesn’t retaliate, instead relying on her Su Ma technique to spin and flip around Ticho’s blasts. The half-Saiyan can’t seem to hit your daughter, Tomi easily evading every single blast. “Grrrr, d-dammit! Hold still you bitch!”
“Hit her already!” Komand’r shouts angrily. “Just hit her!”
“Keep it up Ticho, she can’t dodge forever!” Turles cheers his daughter on.
“You’ve got this kiddo!” you cheer. “Show everyone what you can do!”

“Is this all you’ve got?” Tomi calls, you sensing her power growing as you see her tightly clenching her right fist. “Alright then, MY turn!”

As she shouts out, Tomi fires an energy shot of her own up towards Ticho. Who draws her arm back, ready to fire again when suddenly Tomi’s attack explodes! Her Scattershot bursts into dozens of blasts, Ticho immediately abandoning her attack and guarding herself. The shots all explode as one together, blinding the half-Tamaranean and allowing Tomi to once more close the distance. Before Ticho recoveres Tomi has closed in, swinging her right fist square into her foe’s nose.

“Gaaaah!!” Ticho shouts, grabbing her nose and flinching back in pain. Tomi immediately takes the initiative, as you’d taught her. She follows up the right with a left to the body, then a right uppercut to the jaw into a spinning left roundhouse. Tomi’s last hit sends Ticho spinning, them your daughter catches her foe in a full nelson hold. “Wh-What?!”
“I’m ending this, now!” your daughter says, and with her hold on Ticho locked in, immediately dives towards the out-of-bounds.
“Break out of it, Ticho!” Turles shouts. “Don’t let this be the end!”
“Go Tomi! You’ve got this!” Meloka shouts.
“GOOOOOOO!!” the younger twins shout, you watching the two spinning around and jostling for position the moments before impact. And then they both smash to the ground, kicking up a huge cloud of dust and blinding you all to the aftermath. But only for a second, as with a sweep of his hand Freeza kicks up gale-force winds, blowing away the smoke and revealing the battle’s conclusion. Tomi still has her hold on Ticho, but your daughter’s back is firmly planted first in the ground beneath the half-Tamaranean. Tomi lost.

>>5001621
“Tomi clearly hit the ground first, so the winner is Ticho!” Freeza calls, to mixed cheers and surprisingly a few boos. Tomi lets go of her foe, Ticho leaping back onto the stage and raising both of her fists. Your daughter pulls herself up out of the small crater, and hanging her head down in defeat, turns to leave the arena.

>Scold her for her silliness/cockiness in attempting to end the fight with flashiness rather than efficiency/effectiveness. Tell her this loss shows what can happen when you carry on like that, but thankfully she has found this out in a friendly sparring match, rather than a fight with serious consequences.
>>
>>5001622
>Go down and talk to Tomi, tell her she did great despite the loss.
If this was an actual fight, Tomi probably would have taken it, and she can take pride in that. We should go down and console her personally.
>>
>>5001630

I think we can combine our two choices somewhat by praising how well she started, but calling her out for acting like a dickhead (and paying the price for it) at the end.

>We don't need Chaya 2.0
She went to end the match as quickly as possible though?
>>
>>5001637
I don't think she was being overzealous though, she was trying to go for the sur thing and miscalculated. It was an honest mistake, not something born of incompetence.
>>
>>5001645

My perception of what happened there was that she made a very reckless, and very unnecessary maneuver (because she probably thought it would be cool and funny). Grappling your opponent and diving ring-out with them in the hopes that they touch the dirt 0.003 seconds before you also do is such a low-percentage-play when you could blast them down, hit them down, etc, etc, all of which don't also throw yourself out of the ring with them. It was needlessly risky, needlessly flashy, could very easily go wrong (much morseo than other possible choices), and it turns out that it did.
>>
>>5001622
>>Telepathically tell her to come join you all, and enjoy the rest of the fights sitting with her family
>>
Since we’re still tied, leaving this vote open another ten minutes
>>
>>5001645
True. I suppose saying she should have gone for 'efficient' rather than the 'cocky/flashy' that she did isn't wuite the right wording. What she did was needlessly risky, or as a sports coach would call it, a 'low percentage play'. She should have made a smarter play, that had less chance of going wrong and less unnecessary chance of backfiring. It's not like she was desperate. She was winning, and threw it all away in a poorly-considered act of recklessness.
>>
>>5001649
I don't think it was that reckless honestly. The grapple was done specifically to make sure she was going out of bounds, and she only went for it after she methodically broke Ticho down and make a solid opening.
The only problem was the fact that Ticho could still overpower her physically, but given how dominant Tomi was prior to the attempt as well as her lack of grappling specialization, I can't really fault her for not being immediately aware of that.
It wasn't a bad play, Ticho winning was kind of a fluke.
>>
>>5001622
>>5001630
>Telepathically tell her to come join you all, and enjoy the rest of the fights sitting with her family
Changing to this by the way.
She needs to take her mind off it right now anyhow, we can talk about it later.
>>
>>5001657

There are always going to be better choices than throwing yourself out of bounds with your opponent. Tomi had her reeling from a bunch of blows to the face and guts; she could have used basically whatever option she wanted as a decent finisher there. How about a judo throw down onto the ground? A nice big blast from overhead, smashing her down into the ground? A double-handed fist blow onto the top of the head/back, smashing Ticho into the ground? None of those result in Tomi also going out.

Tomi made an all-or-nothing play when there were plenty of all-or-'still in good position' plays available to her. And then she failed to land it, and ended up with nothing.

If she'd failed/not-quite-succeeded with one of the "all-or-'still in good position'" plays - eg if Ticho recovers from the throw/blast/punch just before she hits the ground - then the match would have just continued, with Tomi still having the upper hand.

“Hey kiddo, don’t run off.” you think to your daughter as she’s about to take to the air. Instead she turns, looking towards you. “C’mon over here, and come sit with us. You don’t want to miss your siblings’ fights, do you?”
“....I do wanna watch.” Tomi answers after a moment or two, turning and walking over to your ringside seating and leaping up over the wall. You catch your daughter, and noticing that there’s tears in her eyes sit right back down, holding her to you.
“That was a good try Tomi.” Meloka says, holding both Okira and Karn Jr with one arm for a moment and patting Tomi’s head comfortingly. “You put up a good fight.”

“Yeah, you did great!” Maz shouts excitedly, Kayle nodding along and “Mmmhmmm”ing too. “You kicked her butt!”
“Going for a forced ringout against a stronger foe wasn’t the smartest decision, but I can see how you’d think of it.” King Vegeta speaks up, getting your daughter’s attention as she turns her head to him. “Next time, go for a throw or a beam to force your foe down. *~ you don’t take such a risk, you’ll win for sure next time.”
“R-Right.” she says with a sniffle, Vegeta giving your daughter a soft smile before returning his gaze to the arena, Freeza calling out the next fighters. But since you don’t know either of them, and they’re both weaker fighters you focus more on your daughter and come up with an idea.

“Hey kiddo. Let’s try something.” you say, Tomi perking up at this and looking up curiously as the two fighters take the ring. “Let’s watch this next fight, and I want you to tell me what both of them do wrong.”
“Huh? Well, okay.” she says after a moment’s thought, turning around to see the non-Super Saiyan competitors both taking defensive fighting stances. Freeza drops his arm with the shout of “Begin!” again, but for the first few seconds neither one moves.
“They’re both nervous.” she says without prompting. “Galanga’s a bully, but only picks on those he thinks are weaker than himself. He’s not actually good at fighting, just throws his power around.”
“The jerk!” Kayle shouts unprompted. “I hope he loses!”
“Yeah!” Maz shouts, you remembering what Tatsu and Tomi had told you during your visit before the Great War ended. Clearly this Galanga was one of the younger kids’ bullies. “Kick his butt!”

“Take this!” Galanga shouts, raising his right hand and begins gathering a large ball of ki overhead. Leaving himself wide open, a fact Arlic doesn’t pass up on. The shorter, more wiry-built Saiyan’s ki suddenly doubles as he blitzes forward, catching Galanga by surprise and delivering a single powerful punch to the bigger Saiyan’s gut. He clearly doesn’t know what hit him, losing focus on his attack and letting the energy dissipate as he’s send flying. But he doesn’t let up, dashing after the slightly-weaker boy and readying his energy.

“Haaaaa!!” he roars, firing a two-handed purple beam square into the larger Saiyan’s chest and sending him crashing to the ground just off the arena. And just like that the third round is over.
“So, what was Galanga’s first mistake?” you ask Tomi. “Besides not sensing his opponent was concealing their true power of course.”
“He left himself wide open.” she replies immediately. “He was asking to lose that fight.”
“That’s what he gets!” Maz shouts, Kayle sticking her tongue out and blowing raspberries at the rung-out fighter. “Big dumb jerk.”
“Exactly. He did leave himself wide open.” you say, then criticize the other one. “But if je was simply baiting him with that show, Arlic could have taken some real damage from that gathered energy, if Galanga were more skilled like your mother. A Sky Cannon would have been devastating to Arlic at that close range.”

“Oh yeah! This whole fight coulda gone a lot different.” your daughter says, as Freeza brings out the next competitors. Both female this time, and again no Super Saiyan from either of them. But Tomi’s clearly got a bias going into this fight. “Go Chini! You can win this!”

Tomi’s friend turns towards you all and gives some sort of hand wave before turning to her opponent and both taking their stances.

“Aaaand Begin!” Freeza shouts, dropping his arm once more. Unlike the last maych, this time both fighters blitz headlong towards each other.
“HRAAAAAAAA!!”
“RRRRAAAAAA!!”

They roar simultaneously, swinging with opposite fists for each other’s face. The two cross-counter, fists missing each other and instead both finding their marks. And as the two continue to rapidly trade blows, neither willing to back up an inch, you can’t help but remember back to your own youth. In them you see yourselfscrapping against longtime friends like Leyas, Nappa, Sarada, Turles, and the others back on Planet Vegeta. Smiling at the memories, you watch on as the next generation start stepping up, and showing what they’re made of.

How tired is Chilli feeling at the moment after setting up the defences around the village? If he's somewhat fresh still, I see him winning this. He's just got such a broad, tricky arsenal of powers that his opponents won't really be too familiar with, and won't really have any proper means of countering. I can see that helping him overcome any sort of power disparity that he might face (eg if facing Broly).

“HRRAAAAAA!!” Tomi’s friend Chini roars, narrowly ducking a blow from her opponent and retaliating with a straight left to the jaw that snaps her foe’s head back. She follows up the left with a tired right cross, staggering the slightly-larger girl a step to her right. The two have been going full-force at it for over three minutes, neither willing to back down or switch tactics from a full-force frontal assault. And while the crowd loves it, you can clearly see that both girls are rapidly approaching their limits. Sweating and breathing hard, Chini’s foe recovers and tries to end this with a powerful straight right to the face. But Tomi’s friend is ready, dropping to a knee and sliding under the blow. Slipping past the bigger girl’s punch, Chini comes up behind her opponent, wrapping her arms around the middle of her opponent. And roars her last battle cry while suplexing the bigger girl.

BOOM

Back arching, Chini buries her foe’s head and shoulders straight doen into the arena through the hardened tiles to the thunderous roaring of the crowd. Tomi’s at this point standing on your lap, cheering her friend on with all she’s got.

“One. Two. Three.” Freeza counts, as Chini drops exhaustedly down beside her half-buried foe. “Four. Five.”
“SIX! SEVEN!!” the crowd roars along, Chini rollint over onto her stomach to force herself up tiredly onto her knees. “Eight! Nine! TEN!!”
“Chini is the victor!” Freeza calls, Tomi’s friend tiredly raising a hand while the audience roars in approval. But the victor us clearly unable to move along with the loser, Freeza using his telekinesis to free the fallen and help them both over to the rest of the competitors. Tomi launches herself off you, dashing over to her friend and hugging her. But you can’t help but notice both Tatsu and Tomi still somehow manage to simultaneously hug the girl. But you don’t have time to ponder, as the next match is about to begin. And one of the fighters has already peaked your curiosity, appearing much younger than her competition. “Now, time for the next match! Kaliflor Clan-Clan versus Cado!”

“Really? I’m up against this runt?” Cado asks, the young man around Raditz’s age wielding a base form powerlevel nearly on par with Chilli’s. But he clearly can’t sense that, despite the clear age gap, he’s the undisputed underdog in this fight. “At least try and make this fun for me, okay?”
“I’m gonna beat you up!” the childlike voice of the child replies, then takes a low, almost quadrupedal stance, tail flicking back and forth in clear anticipation of the fight.
“Both fighters ready?” Freeza asks, both nodding. He then drops his hand, the signal for the match to commense while shouting “Begin!”

cont
>>
>>5002148
“HAAAAAAA!!” Cado roars, firing a wide-angled wave of ki from his left hand. Clearly anticipating a dodge, he tries to spread his attack out to keep his foe from escaping. Unfortunately, spread out as it is, it does little to stop the half Ctarl-Ctarl girl. Who dashes right through the attack, slamming her left fist into his gut while dashing under his arm. The blow launches Cado back, the young Saiyan slamming into the far wall. Silence greets this development, except from the contingent of Ctarl-Ctarl who’re all cheering on the one of their own’s win immediately. Cado doesn’t move, embedded in the wall he’s left hanging there as the Ctarl-Ctarl’s head tilts inquisitively.

“This match is over.” Freeza says after a few moments of surprised hesitation, caught as off-guard as you were when the woman’s power surged on the attack. “The winner is Kaliflor Clan-Clan!”

“Awww. Is it over already?” she asks Freeza, ears drooping comically.
“Yes, this round is over.” he tells her, to the child’s clear disappointment. “You won.”
“Okaaaaay.” she says, turning and leaping off the stage and over by her people. Freeza doesn’t seem to care, using his telekinesis to pluck Cado from the wall and set him down by your daughter Caulifla and the other competitors before continuing the event. But as he calls another couple names you aren’t familiar with, and seeing the young men step up to the stage, whoever wins clearly won’t be able to handle that Ctarl-Ctarl.

“I’ve been thinking lately.” you say out of the blue, King Vegeta turning to you curiously while the next fight gets underway. “Having things like this is a good first step, but these tournaments won’t teach them how to survive.”
“What do you mean?” he asks neutrally, inviting you to explain more of what you mean.
“These structured fights are all well and good, helping them fight in battles with restrictions or to capture a target without killing them. But aren’t as applicable to actual combat.” you tell him. “This won’t teach them what they need to survive in battle. If they went onto a battlefield like this, most of them will end up dead. I know it’s all a show for the cameras and all that, but these kids aren’t ready for a war.”

“Like the one your kids went on?” he asks, obviously referencing the Hive War that was broadcast on Dreadzone.
“Yes, but also no.” you reply, trying to think through and find the right words as you talk. “That was a good experience for them, but honestly wasn’t enough. They still had all their material comforts, other peoples fixing their food, beds to sleep in, and others guarding them so they weren’t sleeping in shifts in hostile territory. All the things we used to do, more than a decade ago.”
“You mean living like disposable soldiers?” he asks, or rather more like states. “Cast out into the unknown, and tasked with cleansing hostile planets of life or to die trying.”

As you say this, one of the boys fighting knocks the other down with a heavy left hook. Yet instead of pouncing on this opportunity, and finishing his downed opponent the young boy looks to Freeza, taking his eyes off his opponent.

“They’re growing up without those killer instincts, the ferocity to survive that got us here.” you continue, Freeza starting to count. “Even my own children, they don’t have the same drive to win that made us who we are today. And I fear that without it, without our instinctual bloodlust honed properly, our people could be in trouble.”

“Nine. Ten. Langal is victorious!” Freeza shouts to the crowd’s applause, the downed Saiyan quitting his struggle to rise and just lays there, defeated.
“They aren’t taught the most important lesson of war.” you continue. “Which is that to win, is to survive. Losing means death; of you, your team, and those you protect. But they haven’t learned this. And I’d rather we make a place to instill these values, than see these hard-earned lessons disappear over time.”

>>5002239
“I see you’ve been thinking on this quite a bit myself.” Vegeta replies after a moment, as the next battle begins. “And I do agree with you. However, we have a problem.”
“What?” you ask, not sure what he means. “What problem?”
“Our people have grown too powerful.” he replies, as the boy and girl Saiyans trade blows near the center of the ring. “With few exceptions, most of them being allies now, there just aren’t that many beings strong enough to be threats. Even the Hive weren’t much of a match for less than a dozen young Saiyans, only by outnumbering millions to one were they a problem. Our people have grown, due to necessity yes but now we’re without rival. Any world our youth are sent to would crumble and fall within days, if not hours.”

“I think we have a solution for that.” you say, going over what the scientists have been cooking up with Project: Scyther as the matches go on. You tell him how dangerous the one variant, mutant Saibamen was when it broke containment, and how they could be the key to producing reasonably dangerous threats. While you and Vegeta talk, speaking of the different and dangerous creatures that you’d both fought over the years and the different environments they’d need to learn how to survive in, all the first round matches had concluded. You’d watched as Chaya, Tatsu, and Kakarot easily defeated their opponents, while your eldest son Chilli didn’t even touch his opponent and used his telekinesis to win via ringout. And just like that, all the first round matches have concluded. All of your children who competed, except for Tomi, made it to the second round. And you see your daughter with her siblings, having already brushed the day’s loss off cheering for her family.

“And now, for the first match of the second round!” Freeza calls, the two young fighters stepping up. “Broly, versus Ticho. Both fighters, take your forms.
“Should I go all out?” Broly asks you telepathically. “I gotta pay her back, for Tomi.”

Well? How do you reply?

Tell him to do what he thinks he should, you shouldn’t be giving him this sort of advice in a long tournament anyways wins it. And this may be a big moment for Broly’s character, writing
>>
This one’s gonna take at least another half hour, Broly’s on a roll
>>
>>5002303
I'd expect nothing less from the boy. He's got a good role model after all.
>>
>>5002241
“What do you think you should do?” you ask him, instead of answering. “Whatever you feel is best, you should do. I’m just a spectator today, this is your fight. You need to decide how you want to handle her.”
“I understand.” he replies as Ticho transforms. Her body bulks up, growing buffer and buffer as she takes her transformation all the way up to Ultra.
“How do you like me now?!” she calls to Broly, looking down on him a bit arrogantly. “I was hoping to save this for Chaya, but you’re not the only one who’s strong!”
“Give me everything you’ve got.” he replies, transforming into his base, greener Super Saiyan form without going fully Berserker. He then just takes his stance, left arm up and right arm back defensively, feet planted firmly on the ground. “Try your best.”

“You mockin’ me?!” Ticho calls indignantly, golden sparks dancing in her blazing aura. “Take me seriously, dammit!”
“I am serious. This is all the power I need to beat you.” he replies, face and aura both perfecty calm. Seems his meditations are paying off, you not sensing any anger at all from the boy. Just a calm, almost bored feeling from him.”
“Both fighters ready? Begin!!” Freeza calls, and both Saiyans blitz forward. Their right fists clash, shockwave blasting out as their powers come into direct opposition. Broly and Ticho both come to a full stop, each trying to overpower the other. Yet after a few seconds, it becomes clear to everyone who’s the stronger.
“What? N-No way!” Ticho calls out as Broly begins forcing her backwards. “You can’t be this strong!”
“You can’t win.” Broly answers, Ticho pulling her fist back and swinging with a left turning kick. Broly just raises his right forearm, blocking her kick, and continues pushing her back. Broly suddenly grabs her left leg, spins Ticho around once, then slams her back-first down onto the arena floor. “Give up. You can’t win against me.”

Then without waiting for an answer pitches her at the wall, a clear ring out. Except Ticho isn’t going down without a fight.

“HRRRAAAAAAAAA!!” she roars, ki exploding off of her from all sides as she stops herself mere feet from the wall. Her power surging cracks the wall, but again whatever they reinforced it with seems to be doing the job rather nicely as her scream ends. “I’m not gonna lose! Not to you! HAAAAAAAAAA!!!”

Throwing her hands together, Ticho unleashes a wild storm of energy shots. Broly doesn’t even try evading them, instead you see his already calmed aura begin condensing even tighter around him. As his Energy Body solidifies Ticho’s barrage closes the distance, dozens of shots scoring direct hits on your son. But he doesn’t even blink, walking calmly through the storm of blasts towards her.

>>5002333
“N-No, this can’t be!” she shouts, panicking as her attacks do nothing to him. “What are you?!”
“I am Broly, son of Karn.” he says, then closes the remaining distance between them instantly. Before she even realizes what’s happened he plants his fist square into her gut, Ticho looking down shocked. As your son pulls his fist back she drops to her knees, holding her middle in clear agony. Before she can fully process what’s happening, much less recover, he then grabs her by the head, and takes a couple running steps forward before pitching her with all his might. Not at the arena wall, but straight down off the side of the arena. “And one day, I will be the strongest in the entire universe!”

“Ticho is out of bounds. The winner is Broly!” Freeza declares, the audience cheering even louder than it has yet. And yet, once the battle’s over, Broly doesn’t immediately turn and leave. He hops off the side of the ring, and holds a hand out to the fallen half-Tamaranean. You can’t hear what they say, but you do see the younger girl at first slap his hand away, yelling something at him. He doesn’t immediately retaliate, but whatever he says stops her tirade in it’s tracks. Then without another word he turns, walking away from her and leaving her watching him, several conflicting emotions warring for control of her expression. “And next up, we have Arlic against Chini! Fighters, take your forms!”
“That worthless little shit!” Komand’r seethes, fist slamming down onto the arena wall before her angrily while her eyes blaze with barely-restrained energy. “Couldn’t even beat that brat!”
“C’mon, it’s not her fault she was clearly outmatched.” Turles says, trying to calm her down. “Hell, that kid’s strong enough to fight us, much less in this little tournament. Give her a break Komi.”
“Quit making excuses for her!” she snarls, turning her ire on Turles. “She didn’t try hard enough! When we get back, her training is going to double immediately. How dare she humiliate me like this!?”

Seems that the Tamaranean princess is taking her daughter’s loss rather...Personally. But should you confront her about it, or just let her be? After all, this isn’t any of your business. Is it?

Well?

“Well now I know where she got her attitude from.” you say aloud, Komand’r going silent and slowly turning around to glare at you instead of continuing to shout.
“What did you say?” she asks, barely above a whisper as her every word drips venom. “What did you just say to me?”
“I’m only staring the obvious.” you say, staying seated but turning to face the Tamaranean royal. “It’s clear she gets her anger from her mother.”
“You bastard!!” she shouts, standing up and whirling around to you furiously. Her eyes are blazing crimson with power as she unconsciously taps into that magic stone she carries to amplify her own might. “I’ll kick your ass!”

“Sit down, Komand’r!” King Vegeta suddenly orders, but she doesn’t pay him any mind. Instead she fires twin beams of crimson from her eyes directly at you. You don’t move, your Energy Body hardened around you taking both hits to your chest. After a second or two you feel her energy piercing through your aura, then punches easily through your armor and striking your chest. But you don’t flinch, staring down the princess and keeping focus on re-hardening your Energy Body. Thankfully you succeed, hardening your shield enough and replenishing it enough to force her beams off you, no longer making direct contact. After another couple seconds she ends the attack, taking an uncertain step back as she sees you haven’t even moved.
“What the hell?!” she exclaims, all her earlier fire gone. “No way.”

You don’t say a word, and instead push yourself up to your feet, turning fully to face her. And being in your Ascended Berserker form you tower over the Tamaranean woman, glaring down at her angrily. You feel blood running down under your armor where her beams had momentarily pierced your Energy Body, but all it adds is more fury to your fire. Wordlessly you glare down at Komand’r, who’s visibly shaken at this point. But before you can do anything else, someone intervenes.

“That’s quite enough.” Freeza says, his golden visage suddenly appearing between you two even faster than you could track. One moment he’s back down at the arena, and the next suddenly he’s here. “From both of you. All fighting is to be done either inside the arena proper, or outside. Do I make myself clear?”
“Of course, Lord Freeza.” you say, immediately saluting him. Komand’r just nods shallowly, and the moment he turns around and returns to the arena she blasts off into the sky, leaving the entire arena behind.

>>5002437
“You didn’t have to antagonize her like that.” Turles says, a bit sheepishly. “But...Thanks.”
“Of course.” you reply, no hint of your earlier wrath in your voice or demeanor. “There’s a difference between making your kids better, and raising them to grow up and extract their revenge on you when they’re strong enough to do so.”
“You did the right thing, Karn. But...” King Vegeta chimes in, looking to the two bloody spots where she shot you. “Did you really have to let her hit you?”

“I hadn’t planned on it, but I’d let my focus waver.” you answer, gesturing to your Energy Body-shrouded form. “Keepingy Energy Body running like this at full strength, even when not thinking about it, is still really difficult. Haven’t quite gotten it down yet.”
“Wait, that wasn’t just your aura?” Turles asks, you sighing out and suppressing it for a few moments. Your emerald aura vanishes almost completely, Turles’ jaw dropping as you reactivate it, then shaking his head with a laugh. “Well well, look at you. Looks like I’ve fallen even further behind than I thought. And here I thought my new form would be enough to help balance the odds between us.”
“New form?” you ask curiously, Turles just giving a smirk as Freeza calls up the next fighters. And you’d like to question your friend on what he means more, but it can wait until after this next fight. Because the half-Ctarl-Ctarl girl is back up to fight, and you’re curious just how strong she actually is. Looks like this tournament is just going to get more and more interesting.

>>5002438
And that’s it for this episode, everyone have fun? Ready for this tournament to get to the bigger fights like Tatsu vs Kakarot and Chilli vs Caulifla? Curious what all Kaliflor Clan-Clan can really do, when up against Broly, and what new form Turles has achieved? All this and more, next time on Saiyan Conqueror Quest!
>>
>>5002446
Against Broly? But Broly just fought. Did we miss the ENTIRE second round, including all of our other participating kids' performances?
>>
>>5002452
No, these are just fights to more than likely happen and look forward too in the next episode. I’ll say this, Kaliflor hasn’t shown her true power yet.
>>
>>5002457
Oh, also, GD, quick question. I can't remember the last time anyone asked, but, what's the current average Saiyan PL looking like? Is it six-digit yet?
>>
>>5002559
Still high-five digits, due to the large number of young children being born. As for warrior Saiyans yes, the average is now into the six digits. Also, the powerlevels for your students hasn’t been updated for, in quest time, over six weeks now. Those numbers are sure to change.
>>
>>5002568
How's the bracket looking right now?
How many people are starting to wonder if most half-breeds are as strong as the Ctarl-Ctarl
>>
We need to throw up a powerball and see what sort of mutant Cat-ape abomination the half-breed turns into.
>>
>>5002725
Ya know, it would be kinda interesting to see a match like that.
Not gonna happen though because there's a chance the entire stadium would transform and fuck up everything.
>>
>>5002718
So far Broly’s bracket’s been the toughest, while Chaya’s got the easiest run to the quarter finals. Which’ll be the first chance she has to fight a sibling. In another bracket we have both Chilli and Caulifla, and the last we have Tatsu and Kakarot.
The Ctarl-Ctarl, much like the Saiyans, have recently undergone a cultural shift. They regarded themselves as the strongest race in the universe, and during the Great War their warriors began seriously gravity training to reclaim that title.
>>5002725
She’s been advised against doing that. At least, not with a Full Moon version of the Power Ball...
>>
>>5002903
So, once this tournament is concluded, is this gonna become an annual thing?
Also, we should definitely have an equivalent tournament for adult Saiyans.
Yeah it'd be pretty heavily weighted in the favor of Karn and his friends, but it's not like that isn't the case for the under 18 tournament as well.
>>
>>5003083
>is this gonna become an annual thing?
Depends on how well it does.
>we should definitely have an equivalent tournament for adult Saiyans
It was considered. But then dropped not long afterwards, once Vox got the footage of Primal Vegeta vs Ascended Berserker Karn along with the high-end scouter information from the planet.
>but it's not like that isn't the case for the under 18 tournament as well.
True, however this tournament serves several purposes for Vox. One of which is building up just how powerful Chaya is amongst her own kind.
>>
>>5003282
Has Vox considered that Chaya may get her shit wrecked, either by a Sibling or by a Halfbreed?
>>
>>5003341
To be fair no one saw her being that powerful. On the other hand, this bracket may not be as random as it seems. This is a Vox operation, after all.
And yes. Even if she somehow loses this, it will be spun as “Look how strong she is, and she isn’t even the strongest member of her own family.”

What he’s told.
>>5003585
Considering he’s now able to fully take his final form thanks to Caulifla’s Triumph, there’s not too many he couldn’t beat down anymore.
>>
>>5003621
I have to wonder what kind of training Cold's actually getting into now.
Ya know what we should do? We should get him a gift sometime (and Frieza too).
You think Cold would appreciate a new sword? I remember him being a particularly skilled lightsaber duelist after all.
>>
>>5003625
>training
Moreof learning his limits now, and seeing how hard he can push himself. Remember why he just visited New Salda, and what he took?
>get him a gift sometime (and Frieza too).
What would you gift a man who owns your world?
>a new sword? I remember him being a particularly skilled lightsaber duelist after all.
Any weapon you could find on New Salda would be deemed poorly balanced and inferior to his own centuries-old azure blade. One thing he and Arctus have in common.
>>
>>5003633
>What would you gift a man who owns your world?
True, it would be a tall order. I suppose the only thing he could want in the world is a chance to right his own mistakes.
That said, if we do deliver Babidi to him, it'd be as a smoldering corpse, so it's a moot point.
>Any weapon you could find on New Salda would be deemed poorly balanced and inferior to his own centuries-old azure blade
So he managed to keep his old lightsaber eh? I should have assumed as much.
I'm going to assume it's tuned to an absurd length to match his stature, right?
So I know he knows Su-Ma, but has he mastered any of the other forms?
Did he ever dabble in the ways of the Dark Side of the Force?
>>
>>5003639
Not the only. But finally avenging his order, his species, and his family is certainly something he has desired for a long, long time.
It is built for his hands, in all of his forms.
He isn’t a form master, but does know the six well enough.
>inb4 there are 7 forms
Yes, but that one was still forbidden to teach as it was an easy path to fall into darkness from. Wonder how he would react to seeing Karn use The Way of the Vornskr?
The man was, for centuries, motivated solely by his losses and thirsting revenge
>>
So. Hows about that new chapter of Super
>>
>>5004225
It's nowhere near as bad as it could be, so that's a plus I guess.
That name drop at the end has me dreading whatever retcons they have planned though.
>>
>>5004128
I wonder how he'd react to a Sith Lord using our soul like a luxury apartment.
Speaking of lightsaber forms though, does Juyo translate well at all to hand-to-hand, or does it strictly require wielding some kind of sword?
>>
>>5004225
>more good guy Bardock retcons incoming
>>
>>5004442
Vegeta basically lost but the reason for it is far less dumb than having him "win" against Moro only for Moro to asspull a transformation and take the win from Vegeta. I like having validation that his form is in the Omen/Signs stage as having him obtain mastery (even with his credentials as a geinus and mastering spirit control) at this early in the stage is just garbage. You don't throw Vegeta having an atonement arc and half-ass the progression into him moving past the crimes of his people and obtaining True Mastery of Ultra Ego like that. It took Goku having someone "die" in front of him to finally "get it" for Mastered Ultra Instinct.

>>5004509
I don't really care about Bardock anymore. Ever since Episode of Bardock, he's been fanwake almost as hard as Broly. Online, Heroes, Xenoverse, etc. They can't stop bringing him to the forefront to try and generate hype. Minus as bad as it is still made sense that Bardock cares about his family. The OVA had him care about his crew and ultimately the Saiyans, so why wouldn't he give two shits about his family after he got over the "weak power level" crap. And to be honest, getting "psychic" powers via a pressure point was always kind of dumb for me. I get the logistic of it, but it felt too much plot contrivance for the sake of it. Could've easily had Bardock or anyone put two and two together and realizes how callous Frieza is. It isn't like the space emperor is hiding his malicious and putting on an act to save face.

There's probably some way to make it good but I don't trust Toriyama as he is now to do it. And Toyo is too pussywhipped to go against his master.
>>
>>5004522
>ould've easily had Bardock or anyone put two and two together
Like the greatest Saiyan scientist he was.
>>
>>5004526
No joke if due to Minus and the Broly movie has Toriyama basically canonizes the ocean dub's line of being a brilliant scientist to pinpoint Frieza's treachery then I wouldn't even be mad.
>>
>>5004225
I’ll give it a Meh/10
>>5004442
They should just leave him dead. The only reason his story worked is because it harkens back to the old Greek tragedies with pretty good storytelling.
>>5004464
He’d wonder why you haven’t simply banished it yet. Or worse, succumbed to it’s control.
They all do, as weapons are only extensions of the body.
>>5004522
It was pretty good planning, from Vegeta. If he died killing Granolah, they win. Dragonballs exist. Plus we all knew he would lose, not a SINGLE good guys form in Super has won their debut fight.
>>
>>5004609
>SSG still couldn't beat Beerus
>SSB Goku got blindsighted for losing his guard and Vegeta got duped by Frieza cause Toriyama can't let anyone but Goku kill/defeat the big bad
>SSBKK didn't beat Hit and probably would've timed out before sealing the deal anyway
>Perfected SSB got duped by Fused Zamasu and required Trunks to cheap shot Zamasu to put an end to him (Vegeta's lost to Beerus, no challenge)
>UI Omen ran out before sealing the deal with Jiren (Got punched out of the form in the manga)

>>
>>5004609
So...who the hell is the monkey cat's papa anyways? I don't remember anyone being sent out that way.
>>
>>5004626
SS3 can be excused, as he wasn’t trying to kill Buu himself in their first encounter. Even his reasoning made sense, in the context of “Goku’s gone for good after he leaves this time”. But after that the arc went off the deep end. That said, SSG being an “incomplete” or temporary form actually worked better in the context of it being a ritual. But yeah everything from Blue forward never won. Except for Super Saiyan Rosé, as it beat both Goku and Vegeta.
>>5004734

Well the Ctarl-Ctarl beast transformation seems to be a mostly-physical change, not really a mental one. But combine this with more of the Oozaru’s proportions, namely lengthier, stronger limbs, and you can visualize it

>>5004909
>Giant Were Tiger straight outta Godzilla movie.
>>
>>5004737
SS3 can be excused as it was always supposed to be a subversion of the Super Saiyan power-ups. 2 feels like the perfect culmination of all the efforts to reach the optimal Super Saiyan form. 3 on the other hand feels like another power-stressed form but instead of bulking up with muscles it instead goes full neanderthals with crazy long hair.

Anyway, Goku losing his chance to "defeat" Buu on both accounts again ties to the whole subversion sthick. So it never getting an ACTUAL win canonically makes sense. (Yes it got one in the wrath of the dragon but it doesn't count.) But that subversion goes to shit whenever they KEEP repeating it
