You are Kolinaisi Kaiko Wahtiri, Big Man, Captain of the Something Fierce, brother of Angron, and Primarch. You have fought Sea Monsters, Regular Monsters, Drukhari, Slavers and now you are fighting Daemons. And not too long ago it was your seventh birthday. Your world is changing more and more each day, but each day you rise to the challenge with strength.

Right now the challenge that has begun is attempting to slay this Daemonic warrior, or rather fight him enough to learn more about what is going on [bold] before [/bold] slaying him. So far the entity has not been responding well to the background noises that are ongoing, and much to your shock, they really can't take banter.

So you decide it's time to get spicy with this fight.

"So how many more of you idiots do I have to fight before I fight the big one in charge of you?" You ask as you swing at the being, who is barely able to block the strike of your axe, which you reward with a fast backhand.

[bold] "THERE ARE FIVE MORE OF US AND YOU SHALL NOT HAVE THE CHANCE TO FIGHT THE ONE IN CHARGE OF THIS MISSION BECAUSE I WILL SLAY YOU FIRST" [/bold] it shouts.

"I am starting to think you couldn't fight your way out of a wet sack cloth." You comment as you parry the beings sword and follow up with a headbutt. The being charges you and attempts to cleave you only for you to dodge it's incredible swing.

[bold]"FIGHT ME YOU COWARD. STOP PRANCING ABOUT LIKE SOME AELDARI MAIDEN!"[/bold] It screams as it begins to swing wildly so you answer back with a swing of your axe knocking the being back near a wall. The being charges again at you and screams.

"Which one of these beings do you follow? The one of being terrible at fighting?" You ask knowing that it is causing the being to become more enraged as it swings where you are able to block repeatedly where it repeatedly roars.

[bold]"I AM A BLOODLETTER OF KHORNE AND A LEADER OF ONE OF HIS PACKS! I AM BUT ONE OF HIS EIGHT LEGIONS BUT I AM GREAT ENOUGH TO DESTROY YOU!"[/bold] It shrieks as it keeps trying to cut into you, and you realize that something must be causing the anger to rise above the taunting. If it is a daemon focused on blood, it has yet to cause even a scratch due to your superior reflexes.

Pick your battle tactic

>> It's no longer of any use to you as it's told it's relevant information, fire a few rounds at it

Just a bloodletter? Not a a herald? Thank God, this means no rendmaster or bloodthister.
So I'm more confortable trying to get the info on why he is avoiding damage to the machinery, if we get too cocky and eat shit, it won't fuck us over asmuch.

Today was hectic. Sorry.
__

You begin to fight harder, using this rare opportunity to both continue interrogation and pick up some fighting skills.

First you need to know why they are guarding the machines.

So you, do something you really were not sure you would ever have to do. You change the pacing of the fight as your honor guard finishes the last hound with Erihapti restraining it as they chop it down. Then you attempt to mimic the battle cant/song of your honor guard and hopefully, HOPEFULLY not insult them or do it wrong.

You come down to a machine and you tap the butt of your axe to the floor three times rapidly and you breath. You had better not mess this up.

"Whoop~!" You let out, and swing at the daemon. The machine spirits sing.

Your entire honor guard and your shoal stoat look upon you like You are the daemon. Or they are embarrassed. You can't tell while fighting the being.

You give a few good axe swings, knocking back, but it is still putting up an effort. You have to try harder than you did with your other opponents, and by try harder, you are actually doing fighting work here.

Your honor guard then moves in and Yana is the first to attempt to come down on the machine before the Daemon moves incredibly fast to block and send her back.

Then your honor guard understands what is really going on, and Delia's eyes widen. They begin the cant again and Erihapti looks very excited for play.

You barrel towards another machine and do the three rapid taps and your whoop, and you are met by a small chorus as they begin.

You go at the daemon, with powerful swings and it's raw beastial fury and primal combat results it in barely being able to hold back with it's great sword, which it then has to respond to your honor guard by shooing them off like an angry momma albatross. It would almost be funny if it weren't so pathetic. You then charge at the daemon and line up a solid hit with your axe goring it. It pulls itself off and comes at you with a mighty swing--

Your Answer? Pick one.

>> Grab the blade with your hand and chop off it's sword arm.

>> Disarm it's blade and kick it to the ground.

>> Dodge it and cut in to it deeply with your opening

>> Step back and fire upon it, no need to be fancy

"Angron, I can't get in touch with Kolinaisi, something is blocking their signal. My rangers are coming back. It looks like the first wave is coming in. We will give cover to ya, but they have a weird thing in the front and it may deflect certain weapons, I wish I had a month to do an infiltration op like I did back in my day on the Jade Shoals, that was something you would ave loved!" Jerah, whom seems to be reminiscing a bit much informs you. So you look to the Chernogoth scouts that came ahead.

"Shaka, does this seem like your people." You ask him and he smiles a cruel grin.

"Oh. That is definetely them. And that thing in the front is a special shield. It deflects energy weapons. They are gonna set those up and try to harass so you can't do anything about it when they wheel in the fun stuff." He says

"With that kind of technology why haven't you come sooner?" You ask.

"Many Seers say that things had changed. Tides had cycled. The Red Moon was setting, the Blue was rising. Me, personally I think that's a bunch of nonsense and we probably have a scout in the city who sends pidgeons." Shaka says.

"Pigeons?" You ask

"Really good messenger pigeons always return to roost. A scout goes, finds work in the city, tells if there is ever a good opening."

"This revolution literally started this morning." You respond.

"Pigeons can fly really fast." Shaka says.

"How far away are your camps?" You ask

"The one I was at was less than 30 miles. However, we have things to help us move faster. We got the orders this afternoon and we sent our pigeon. Or our commander did." Shaka says.

"You are in charge of your team?" You ask wondering about Shakas qualifications, if he may actually be some sort of ruse or if he is just that simple.

" No, I was elected to talk with you, our leader is Quietus. He doesn't talk though." Shaka says pointing to the man who hasn't spoken the entire time since he has gotten here and is getting their mortar ready, taking aim at a strange part of the field.

"That's our cue to get ready. You may want to do something too." Shaka says to you.

"Oenomaus! It looks like we are about to have company!" You shout and Oenomaus cheers as all of Kolinaisi's chain breakers make a strange display and a loud noise. Including Charon, who is a native.

What do you do Angron?

>> Scout ahead. Maybe you can eliminate the strange device, and learn more about their army.

>> Charge into battle head on! None of these men are your peers in combat and you can probably make this battle a lot quicker

>> Hold the line! Your enemy will be here any second, and they will need your help.

Casually dismantled and cast aside like so much rubbish. At this point all the red boys are gonna be PUREST SALT whenever Kolinaisi shows his face. Could even be a running gag in the future that the Blood God's servants challenge Special K all the time only to BTFO like Saturday morning cartoon villains.

Even if Angron isn't the stealthiest Primarch, the enemy commanders being suddenly confronted by the Invictus is just too good to pass up. And, if need be, he has the disintegrator weapon K gave him.

I want to disrespect him.

If they are telling the truth, Angron coyld use his super charisma to convince the rest of their people to join us, or just use raw strength and kill the machine operators or handlers.

So that's where all of Terra's water went, to Istambul IV in the Constantinople System.

You dodge the attack with instinctual ease, and swing deeply into the crimson being, hitting it so hard that skids back underneath the stained glass. You notice there is something odd, one section is glowing as part of it is aligned, and the one you already had slain is gone from the piece. But you cannot look long as the being gets up.

"YOUR SKULL WILL BE A PRIZE WORTHY HIGHEST ASCENSION. TRULY YOU ARE A WORTHY FOE." the being has stopped insulting. It is likely to change tactics.

It starts at you quicker than before, and you can detect more strength in it's swings since it seems more focused on you.

"YOU ARE A CLEVER OPPONENT, TESTING ME FOR WEAKNESSES, PROBING, LIKE A SHARK." the being says as it swings at you and becoming a bit more feral in it's swinging arcs.

You then swing at a machine and it blocks.

"NO NEED TO PLAY ANYMORE. I KNOW YOUR GAME. YOU WON'T ACTUALLY HARM THE MACHINES. YOU PROBABLY KNOW WHAT THEY STORE TOO, AND YOU WON'T LET IT OUT. It says.

Welp. That ruse at least worked in trying to interrogate it. At least you know now that the machines are actually sealing something. You take a strong swing knocking the being into the farthest wall, causing cracks to form from where the being hit. It get's back up again but it looks more injured. You realize it is gaining strength from this fighting and it makes a motion with it's neck popping some bones. Your honor guard, in particular delia, looks over to you. They are really fixin to fight this thing.

Which do you do
>> Allow your honor guard to join in on this fight, let them take the lead as you assist.

>> End This. A few well placed shots is all it should take and you need to figure out what the machines are holding.

>> Try to transfer the machine spirits out of one of the machines to your data pad, because you are going to break one.

You decide to try scouting. After all if this 'Shaka' can do it, Jerah's people can do it, and your brother-- it's still hard to believe! You have a brother! One who helped you accomplish a goal you always sought! Granted you weren't excpecting a space pirate for a brother, but here you are. And one that was actually a good fighter. Though, you would probably have to test him in a spar.

It was awfully peculiar. His style of fighting, if it could be called that, seemed to be based around his ABSURD speed. Even his body, reacted like it knew what that monster was doing before the monster did. His striking and attacking wasn't nearly as good though, but that didn't matter with a weapon as good as his, which he gave you one of. Just looking at it, it's thousands of times better than any weapon you have ever received before. Then you see the approaching army, and you can tell that they cannot actually see you.

So you get lower to the ground, and you use the setting sun and decreasing daylight to your advantage. It isn't really what you like.

Sneaking in shadows like a coward, but it falls to you to defend the newly freed city. At least until that General arrives to assist and Kolinaisi gets done.

Sure that big knight can help, but you could probably wreck it if you hit it's leg hard enough.

You slowly move closer, and you come upon a small group.

"Alright lads. This goes here. We set up in five minutes. Unpack then we start harassing people outside the city and people trying to get in."

"What about that big fuckin thing? That fuckin ship?"

"Our shields when combined will create a cover grid. Once set up Shaka and his boys should start the bombardments."

"I haven't seen Shaka or any of his lads! You sure we are at the right area? Shouldn't they be here giving us cover as we set up?"

"They probably are around."

..

How are people this stupid threats to the city?

You look at the demon and sigh.

You fire a few rounds from you axe and the being is gone. There is a slight noise and a shadow where they once stood.

"You are a total kill joy!" Delia says in a slightly off tone.

"What? I am getting tired of everyone we fight having this 'blah blah I am going to do x to you and it's going to feel y. At least the Rakgol had the decency to give a good fight and not spout nonsense." You say and the girls laugh.

"He was stalling you. If another one like that shows up, we get first dibs. We are your honor guard not surfin friends club." Delia says and you smile back at her.

"Fair enough! Though honestly at this point you are all, more than guards. Your family. You are my companions. I don't want to see you get hurt, but I will not stop you defending me. And honestly I don't think any of these idiots will hurt you." You say and there is some blushing among your guard.

"I am concerned about what they are trying to guard too. These machines, they all have weird glyphs and sigils on them." Meera says.

"I, for the briefest second saw a sigil last time, it was an electric arc. I could draw it, if it would help." You say as Erihapti bounds up to you for much deserved headpats.

"I don't think it would be anything any of us are familiar with. But, there is still something going on with the stained glass." Gella says pointing to the strange portion that while once clear has turned black. You scan the room and for the shortest physical span you can glimpse an image. A form. Something humanlike.

"Delia, is there any strange warp beasty that appears for less than the blink of an eye that is shadowy and looks humanish?" You ask and Delia looks at you baffled.

"Cap. That is a lot of theoretical beings. I think it is more of a symptom that something is going on and you were the first to notice it." Delia says and you get examining the machines in the room.

The ones with the weird sigils, that were being protected have machine spirits. They are growing stronger, but- they are temporarily limited. As if something is draining the power from them for something else.

"Pygmallius, how much time you got?" You ask

"Your done already? I am almost there, so it will take a little bit longer than last time. But you being done now speeds up the process exponentially."

"Let us know when you start up." You say and you look at these machines. You have a little bit of time to examine them. But, you are worried about what the Daemon said.

"Delia, once again you know far more about these beings, are these the type that lie?" You ask.

"Well- not exactly. The red ones tend to be more honorable and less able to lie because they are more busy trying to kill you. They are more specialized in tactics, though these, seem less specialized. Honestly they seem like flunkies." Delia admits.
Cont
>>
>>4995838

"How do you know all this?" You ask, realizing you never really figured out how Delia knew this

"I am the only Exorcist on the team, and honestly it's a weird and rare job as they do not come to delormosa unless the ganth are present, and the techniques to deal with them are mostly based on removing their hold on a body or just destroying their form. Some of the same ones come back on raids after we destroy their form so while you may have sent these ones back, if you don't get rid of the glyphs and sigils they will just be back later. Probably." She says with a skeptic last bit to her voice as she looks at some of the machines.

"Why? What is the matter?" You ask.

"These sigils and glyphs, honestly look like it's sealing something in. And it looks like whatever it is, can only be loosed if the defenses are eliminated, and I guess the daemons are the defense." Delia says.

You have some time to figure this out before preparing for the next fight, but limited resources. Fortunately, your Companions can help.

Pick one for yourself to do. Then assign the remainder to your companions.

You wait a few moments.

The men then once they begin sitting down their bags, and take out some canteens.

You then quickly, and efficiently slit the commanders throat in an unorthodox fashion considering the way they are sitting.

Before he can fall to the ground completely you have a throwing axe in the heart of another officer bringing the total to kill.

The lower ranking men are unable to voice a scream or an alarm before they fall to the ground dead. It isn't that they weren't good enough to fight you.

It is that they weren't good enough to be this kind of soldier.

You grab the shield and haul it up the hill, within line of sight of Shaka whom runs, which is a little entertaining considering how fast they move.

You then descend down to the valley again.

You are able to find a few more shield encampments you could go over. or maybe even liberate.

>> Shield Camp 1: Less heavily guarded, but more people

>> Shield Camp 2: Smaller population, heavily armed.

>> Shield Camp 3: A very large camp, with a semi respectable guard element.

>> Shield Camp 4: A middle of the road camp, that is somewhat well armed.

I think an important detail to remember is that, while all daemons of Khorne are rampaging murderers whose end goal is always violence and death, the Heralds and other superior ranking warriors aren't stupid or impatient. Quite the opposite.

If there's something trapped or contained in these systems that they don't want freed, then we should be especially careful. While I doubt it's anything like a greater daemon, an ancient AI could be equally dangerous.

"We got precious little time. Delia, study the stained glass, see what's up with it. Be ready to spring into action at any second." You say and Delia nods with a smile.

"Gella, see if there is anything underlying in the structure, maybe it can give us a clue." You say

"Is this because of my family relation to the stonehall?" Gella says with a smirk.

"Maybe?" You say and Meera barks out a laugh as Gella gives a playful punch.

"Yana, you are on book detail. See if there is an instruction manual for this thing." You say and Yana nods, hopping over to the nearby books.

"And you want me on tool detail?" Meera asks.

"Of course. I am gonna try to commune with the machine spirit figure out what is really going on." You say going over to the other side of the room near some of the more ornate machines and Erihapti trots over with you.

"Girl." You say holding Erihapti by the cheeks and do a ring with your finger.

"Patrol." You say.

"And her Royal Highness even has a job." Meera says.

"Kolinaisis truest love, Erihapti. Tales tell of how the big mans heart was stolen by the ever loyal Erihapti, who was always there for him no matter what." Delia says as Erihapti proudly trots around the room in a display with her tail up.

"Stories say the giant islander was enchanted by her beauty, but those closer knew that it was the fact that they both shared a love for certain fish." Meera says with a chuckle looking through the tools. 'Treasure the simple good moments son' You recall your father saying.

"You have it all wrong, she fell in love with me because I had food on me at the time. Though the part about those fish rolls Delia makes is also true." You say causing Gella to let out a joyful bark of laughter

"Yeah but you don't let Delia sleep at the foot of your bed curled up close to you in the wee hours." Yana states causing Delia to let out a quick tone

"Hey now! The Captains Quarters smell like a stoat den, he wouldn't have to let me I will continue to sleep in the wardens room thank you." Delia says in a tone of faux outrage.

As the ladies laugh you focus on the machine and begin the mana exchange.

And you listen really hard.

And you hear it. The communication is instantaneous.
>>
>>4997122

"You, can hear and understand us? The voice asks

"I can. Are you alright? Is everything going well? Is the charge helping?"

Yes. Thank you. We, I, Us- well, we are doing better. Why are are you, doing all this? Why are you eliminating the failsafes? It's much appreciated, but they do have a function.

"What would that be?"

"They use our power to help restrain, it. We do not know what it is other than it is really old, and the failsafes were added to us to help seal it. We just know that the age is far older than this planets habitation, that storage is a tiny black box in the middle of the room. It has been getting stronger, and seems to rise with yours, so we think it likes you."

"This thing, is that what caused the briefest glimpse of a glyph/sigil and the figure I saw" You share visual mana of the incident, showing memories that you think are relevant.

YES That. That. Be warned friend! There is a second failsafe. Once triggered at the end state the final third failsafe will trigger. It is stronger. Not like the red ones. This one is different. Hidden. Just us whispering about this hidden thing is dangerous. Please, protect us. We will protect you, we swear, do not harm us. We will show you how to contain the box that it is in, but we recommend you not introduce the box to any other machine." It shows visions of the box, and it taking on an almost extradimensional form, and electronics around it malfunctioning or otherwise revolting, but not under their own control.

"I will be careful"

And you pull back from the machines briefly. And everyone looks at you.

"Hey Cap, you have been out for long enough for Pygmallius to be worried" Delia says

" Yes. They said you were communing with the local net of machine spirits." UR replies in the standard tonal structure, you really need to upgrade his voice box so he can actually display emotion outside his emotive.

"You find anything?" Meera says looking up from her tools?

"Pygmallius, how much time we got before we do this again?" You ask

"Well, I have run into an electric field, so that is slowing down my approach. I'd say 30 minutes at least before you can even do anything.

As you scan around the room you see it.

The strange black box. It almost looks like you can pluck it from the very ground, the box, looks almost - unreal. It's almost as if it's struggling to stay in reality.

SO CLOSE.

"Pygmallius, I have a question. And I am going to first repeat to you, exactly, as I heard. To you and my companions here." You say in a clear tone that causes the girls to look to you suddenly.

"Well Kolinaisi, how important is this?" UR asks.

"It's important enough that some cats may have to come out of the bag." You say, realizing that UR as a Man of Iron may be the only one who can actually figure this out.

" Kolinaisi, that's the wrong description. The better one is lettin the djinn out of the bottle. But why not." UR states.

You go over everything you said and everything that was said down to the detail including the sharing of ideas.

"And it's in the room. As you describe it." UR says.

"Yes. I can see it clear as day." You say

" Ladies. Can you see what he is talking about?"

"No. That's the thing. He is pointing at something that has sigils that match up on the stained glass according to Delia, a structural strong point according to Gella, My books say there should be something there, and Meera, says her scanner indicates something is there." Yana says.

"I would be able to see it too. Kolinasi, you say it flickers. It is black, describe to me in your strongest detail what it looks like as I approach the next gate. UR says

"Wait how would he be able to see it?" Delia asks.

"Well it's"

"I will tell you later. Kolinaisi, tell me. This is deadly important"
>>
>>4998040

"It's black. But not normal black. It's like the Laval of the black volcano, or rather the stones of it. It's so black I don't think light reflects easily off it. It's weird. It's like it's here then it's not. Then it's like it isn't quite together. It's like It is constantly coming together. It's vibrating. And, there is, something like a really ghostly green. Like foam fire." You say

"What the blazes is foam fire?"/

"It's a bioluminecent algae that acts up in storms. It's a light lime/blue green. As opposed to mana fire which is a type of ionic plasma discharge that's a purple blue." Meera says calmy.

"Oh. Interesting terminology. If you remove the cube Kolinaisi, you will not have to deal anymore of the failsafes- and you will have freed all the machine spirits. This will, probably summon a greater defender. However, I cannot confirm nor deny what it is until I see it myself, if what you say is true that is a relic of the war between man and machine. A rogue experiment."

"Don't pull an old man on Kolinaisi Pygmallius or I will throw you out the airlock." Yana says causing Meera to snort.

The Old Man has his reasons for limiting the intelligence he gives, he is of the golden times. I have more respect for him not meeting him than any mere mortal man I have met. And you can throw me out the airlock. I will survive. I am not like any of you. That thing. I have a few theories. But, my main theory, if those scared machine spirits were right, is when several A.I.s attempt to do what man did. In the late days of the of that golden era, AI factions, realized that the men of the era made men of iron. Something to surpass them. Researching and scouring the galaxy for answers, the faction managed to find a solution. Using an ancient alien artifact, 20 A.I.s sacrificed themselves to bind and create a being more powerful and intelligent than them, bound to this powerful ancient artifact. They didn't realize, that something else was in this artifact, another being, together, they merged creating something unique new to the universe, as old as the Old Ones of lore. In the result the being destroyed all other AI on the planet, all men of iron and all things, save for some small tribes of men whom would be able to bind it, as the being didn't expect to find Men. If I am right. It could just be a spooky data djinn that's really weird and has a tesseract containment. UR says.

"How do you know all of this." Delia asks

"Should I tell them? Pygmallius asks.

As you approach the larger encampment, you notice, the second you are in sight range.

It's an officer camp. They have stolen banners and standards all over the place. You hear throat singing and strange songs.

You stay around the camp, but you are able to definitely sneak away with some of these shields, as most of them are distracted.

Then you realize why.

The Cernogoth commander, is present. Or at least it looks like it.

The being has a golden winged crown, and crude armor, with some weapons that remind you of what Kolinaisi had. He stands head and shoulders over his peers, minus his four Ogryn body guards.

You remember the stories Oenomaus told you of the old legend kings.

They would challenge the enemy commander to a duel, if the enemy king lost, the army would leave in peace.

In theory, you could- if you wanted to- end this now.

That is, if they hold up to the principles of the arena and the honor of duel code.

I think that tge shields are the better option, Angron may run if they don't uphold the duel, but it would start the attack earlier before we are prepared.
Meanwhile if the commander falls in tge beggining of the actual fight, the army should become a mess, that plus the city's defense activating and Shaka's betrayal should rout them quickly.

"Pygmallius, you may as well explain it to them."

"I know because I am in fact an AI, well a Man of Iron- who is supported by the brain of a general who did a strange suicide ritual to, it's hard to exactly describe why they did it, but the main lesson is that I am a sympathetic AI and Man of Iron. Well, friendly with Kolinaisi as he actually provided me with freedom."

"Kolinaisi, I know you really believe in the phrase no slaves no masters, but isn't there a saying about letting AIs free?" Meera asks.

"Also that doesn't explain how he knows." Delia points out.

"Kolinaisi, when we are done here I request audiomodifiers so that I may indicate sighs, tonal pitch change, and other verbal tics so I may display things easier when my visual interface is not available.

"I'll get right on it, since I am assuming you are joining the crew."

"Yes, resoundingly so. I knew about this thing that Kolinaisi describes in detail, because it was one of my initial duties to find it. Many of us were. I was tasked with coming to this planet in particular to retrieve said artifact to change the tide of the war. However, men on this planet utilized strange tech which trapped me as as a servile unite for thousands of years. Worse, I was aware of anything that was done, but I was powerless to do anything. Only to be used for strange arena battles, dire emergencies, and strange rituals. Only when Kolinaisi utilized the same tech that trapped me against those in power over me, was I able to break free. So that is how I know, because it is what I sought millenia ago. I witnessed some of the rituals. If you remove it right now, you only have to face one daemon. However, it's one that is specifically hidden. It will also free all remaining machine spirits. I will still have to manually open all switches and power will have to be routed, but it would make the process safer and easier for the machine spirits. It would also probably help the city defense. However, if I am correct, that box is multiple shards of something greater, combined with the efforts of some of the greatest AI's of an age. I, know how to activate it. I implore you, Kolinaisi, to not activate it. The thing guarding it, all the things guarding it even if unleashed all at once would be annihilated by it. I leave the decision of what to do with it up to you, but you can continue down the current path we are taking, and by doing it the slow way avoid the hidden one and taking the box out after the last foe is bested or eliminating most of the problems by pulling the object out and dealing with the hidden one." UR says.

>> Pull out the box, deal with the Hidden one- save time and help defenses be free.

>> Continue on this slower more steady path. Remove the box once all tasks are done.

I can't choose, there's too many questions.
Is pulling out the box now the only way to deal with the hidden one, or could we use a controlled enviroment later on De'lormosa to solve this problem?
And if we do fight it now, could we empower the guardians so they can survive? I'm not keen on freeing machine spirits just so they immediatly die.
Also, would our honour guard be able to see it after being fred, or would ir stay invisivle to them, making this a fight only us and UR could participate?
>>
>>4999672
Answers:
Hidden one will only appear if you remove the box before the sequence is finished. If the sequence is finished the hidden one will not appear.

The guardian machine spirits will become incredibly powerful after the box is freed, and you can further empower them. They would not instantly die.

Once the box is freed from the field your honor guard WILL see it. Its a fight that all can participate.
>>
>>4999692
Another question that I forgot, if we don't fight the hidden one, would he still hang around in the system, and the machine spirits stay forced to guard it, pushing the problem into the future for someone that wouldn't be ready, or when we remove the tessaract after doing the slow ritual, it would also resolve the problem and allow the defenses to be maintained without all this problem?
Basically, I want to know if this has a bigger consequences other than just making it harder for Angron to defend the city becasue it's going to take longer to activate.
>>
>>4999697
If you do not take the option to fight the hidden one, it will not stick around once all things are done.
>>
>>5000014

__
You decide to follow the old way.

You stride into the center of the camp, and you realize that it's only when you get to the center are the soldiers and officers paying attention.

"Who among you is leader" You call out in a loud shout of a voice, and all eyes turn to you.

"I. Uric. Son of Gar. I lead this Horde." The man says standing.

"I Angron Invictus. Son of none. Defender of the free people of this city and leader of it's defenders invoke the ancient right of challenge of single combat." You shout. There is some laughter, then the king puts his hand up.

"I am sure you do, your a giant. The ancient right is still practiced. However, you have probably not realized that the ancient right of single combat, means that I can pick a champion and weapons." The man says and you see him look around and then shout.

"URKTAR!"

Then from out of the shadows, the biggest Ogryn you have ever seen, with a compliment of butchers nails, and two gigantic hammers appears.

"I choose Urktar as my champion. The weapons will be Titan Hammers." He says.

This makes it complicated. Titan Hammers are heavy. Even for you. They are also incredibly unwieldy and impractical. Oenomaus told you that they were specifically designed as a weapon for training people who shine early on to test if they have any worth. While you successfully used the Titan Hammer, you didn't like it. The main handle and staff of the hammer is thick, even for a being of your size. Then there is the hilt, or bottom of the hammer that has an odd ball pommel that adds weight and makes it off balanced.

You stand your ground and pick up the hammer.

"I accept your choices." You say and the General twists his mustache.

The two of you draw a circle for a small arena using the hammers

"No one interfere! The old ways shall be honored." Uric shouts.

Drum song begins as the army begins. The general then sounds a horn.

"BEGIN."

Urktar charges incredibly fast for a big ogryn and has had a lot of skill with the Titan Hammer as the way he swings it shows he has no difficulty.

You demonstrate your skill, quickly.

The Ogryn's charge is is quickly pushed to the side.

Ogryn with nails are dull opponents, they make easily predictable moves.

But they are still Ogryn with nails. They are predictable moves with power and rage behind them.

You smash the hammer against the body of the Ogryn knocking him off it's feet and it gets back up.

I always found it kind of crazy that Ogryn, despite being dim as hell, can go toe-to-toe with Astartes in terms of strength and endurance. This big bastard might even be stronger than Angron, at least as he is now. He and Kolinaisi both still have some growing to do.

"Ladies, When I remove this cube, prepare for the fight of your life. UR, when we are done, you continue you doing as you are doing." You say

"Actually, I am heading back to you now. Whatever danger is ahead you will likely need my help." UR says. You would discuss with him proper rank protocol, if it actually mattered or you actually cared about it like others do. UR as a staggered back up may also prove useful. You have no idea what will actually happen, but before you pull it, you get the sudden headache again. The intense pain. You hear the voices of several machine spirits

"We will help you." you hear.

"Delia, reinforce whatever is keeping things in here." You say and Delia redraws the circle.

"Everyone. This is going to be scary. Be ready." You say and your honor guard fearlessly holds their positions.

You grab the cube and pull it out.

Then almost instantaneously, the stained glass changes.

The symbols all change, and the various figures dissapear as a strange one that looks, like a beast out of fiction appears on it.

Then there is deep haunting laughter.

"Truly the one who bares the number of my master. The voice says as if it is coming from everywhere in the room.

"I have to be impressed. You have slain many a foe, and felled a few servants of khorne. You got this far, and your dislike for slavery and your yearnings for freedom, I'd rather discuss your options before we get to fighting." It says. The voice still coming from everywhere.

"Well the way I see it, you are guarding this. What if I just let it out to deal with you?" You ask

"You haven't figured that part out yet. If you did I wouldn't be surprised, but even so unleashing it now to deal with me- well there wouldn't be a city left to defend. I am not even sure if I could win..."

It's trying to trick you.

You aren't sure what it's game is.

"You don't think you can beat me." You say aloud.

"Oh ho! Arrogance! Surely not a shade of the youngest! Trickery perchance? Or, maybe it's because you have no idea what I am!" The being says and it appears causing Delia to let out an audible curse.

"Captain we are going to have a long discussion about taunting greater daemons when we are done with this!" Delia says.

The being is long and serpentine, almost like a cross between a snake and a shrimp- if the designer was strung out on puff fish liver.

It's black and white form, with flecks of grey blue throughout. Two long scythe like arms were accompanied by a rib cage, or maybe legs, that were nothing but sharpest claws.

Then wings of black and blue three spines jutting on them, but massive at 30ft across.

The thing looked like lancer would have a problem dealing with it, and it was a miracle it fit in the building.

"YOU SEE KOLINAISI, YOU ARE STILL YOUNG! YOU CAN STILL BE FORMED. I DON'T WANT TO HARM YOU! I WANT TO RESTORE YOUR DESTINY TO WHAT IT SHOULD BE! YOU THINK YOU WERE SUPPOSED TO LAND ON DE'LORMOSA? IN JUST A SHORT FEW MILLENIA IT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE EATEN ALIVE. YOU THINK THAT ANGRON WAS SUPPOSED TO BE HERE? EVERYTHING IS OFF! THE GAME IS BEING UPENDED! ANARCHY WILL ONCE TAKE IT'S RIGHTFUL PLACE.

Then you hear a different voice and the world stops.

"Hear me now. Hear me man! I hold you no ill will nor do I seek to start a fight. You took me out, you freed me from stasis. These beings, they are a stain upon reality. Know this, this being is incredibly powerful, and manipulates the realm of souls and will begin it's work- but you have limited time. It's powers are parasitic. It will steal from your honor guard, and from you. When it is done it will cause more chaos and anarchy than this planet can handle. It will devolve from an ordered society into nothing but heaps and burnt lots.

You do not need to let me loose. If you choose so, I will gladly teach this being the way of war and reality. However- you need not need me. The machine spirits themselves- the way they are wired, they can actually rob from the being. This Lord of Despair. It can weaken it, and if your honor guard assists, you should be able to fight it and win, but it may be costly. I can only stop time for so long. You need to decide how you will handle it. But to release me, all you have to do is twist my prison each way once."

You can feel the world almost as if it's about to start.

I wanted to empower the machine spirits anyway. I also don't trust a void dragon piece/ singularity/ A.I. Emperor.
So we are going with Khorne being the eldest Chaos God here? That one is a mess of retcons, I've seen lore tidbits saying it was him, other saying it was Nurgle and some even saying it was Tzeentch. Good to know which one is the quest canon.

You realize that the being has good advice. But you do not trust it.

"I do not trust you, whatever you are, but you make a good point. Spirits of the machine nearby, You have performed well. I ask that you merely help if you can against this monster so you may stay free." You say and you channel your very mana into the machine spirits and you can hear the electric hum in the room

"Using the machine spirits to assist you? That's new." The being says and the machine spirits then begin to sing as electrical arcs begin to manifest and the being looks around. You can feel the machine spirits in turn empower you. The electrical arcs form a cage around the being and begin shocking it, lightning striking it in multiple places.

"What? What is this? This- Machine Empathy? This! This is a powerful boon!" It lets out, it's voice still as grating as ever.

You then channel some of the lightning towards you and manipulate it causing your honor guard to take up their corners for optimal fire lanes. Good. You move the lightning through you and your tattoos begin glowing. You feel more empowered than you have ever before.

A soul and a machine spirit in harmony? Curious. You hear the being from the cube say.

"AND MASTERED ELECTRICITY! WHAT IS THIS? THIS ISN'T A MERE WARP GIFT, BUT MANIPULATION OF ACTUAL REAL SPACE LIGHTNING?" The being says as you look up to it, not quite sure how you look, but it must be menacing as you can detect the fear from it.

You always wanted to see how high you could jump, and how much better you could perform in this weird state, if you wanted to call it that. So you take a flying leap up, electricity arcing around you.

__

You bait and taunt the Ogryn.

"OY LUNKEAD I THINK YOU NEED MORE THAN THE BUTCHERS NAILS YOU NEED A SET OF BALLS TOO." You say attacking the one thing you know - will cause the Ogryn to overextend and fly at you like a distortion of itself.

You side step and hammer it's legs slowing it down, but also making it significantly harder to to hold such a heavy thing and move effectively. It swings at you wildly as a result, but you are able to avoid it's strikes with how it has slowed down.

So you repeat the tactic. Taunt or feign an attack, bring the Ogryn in closer, punish him.

The process is like a training exercise and honestly you feel bad for the ogryn. The crowd seems to feel as if the tide is still for them, yet you have seen more fights then them.

You know The Ogryn, after another pass you hit it on the it's hip.

You practically are above the things head in a mere instant. You bring down the axe on it's face quickly but it batters you away with it's wings.

"THE TEMERITY! YOU THINK YOU CAN SLAY ME IN BUT A SINGLE SWING OF YOUR AXE LIKE SOME COMMON BEAST?! I AM A LORD OF DESPAIR. A CHOSEN OF MALICE. I HAVE FOUGHT ALL MATTER OF GREATER DAEMONS AND OPPONENTS. YOUR SUFFERING AND TERROR WILL BE LEGENDARY." it shouts and screams as you land feet first on the wall and attempt again a jump at it.

And you fling yourself at the being, barreling at it like a cannonball clipping part of it's wing and coming down on the arm, shooting at it to free yourself, and you are lowered to the ground by static electricity with help from the machine spirits. Your honor guard begins ranged attacking on the beast, but it only seems focused on you, despite the commotion around it.

Pick an action for Kolinasi

>> Manipulate the electricity into the form of a powerful bolt and fire it upon the being.
This could give us a strong form of attack that we could refine later should we get some down time, maybe something like a form of chain lighting that we could gain real time manipulation over so we could avoid hitting allies and hit enemies that are in melee

It has been forced to fight, and is barely able to think. We honour it with freedom, not with combat.

I'd like to combine the two choices if that's fine;
> Finish this fight with no deceptions or taunting, only skill. Give Urktar a real duel, and if necessary the kindness of a swift death. Then Uric, son of Gar, will answer whether one who 'says' they follow the Old Ways yet would condone the torture of the Nails has any honor.
This poor Ogryn literally cannot control himself; the Nails have stolen any choice or free will Urktar had. While a part of me would like to spare him, there's not a lot anyone besides Kolinaisi could do.

This puny 'king' had better hope Angron's in a forgiving mood, or he'll learn that the Red Angel needs no 'augmentation' to be a furious terror.

> "THE TEMERITY!"
Ohhh I fucking love that. It would be so amazing if Kolinaisi takes that as a title for himself, and then meets his sons...who are also the Temerity...and their Gloriana-class vessel is ALSO the Temerity.

Alpharius and Omegon would get it.

>> This Mana...it has been a part of you your whole life. Nourishing you. Making you strong. Drink it it, and internalize it. Heightening your reflexes. Bolstering your already mighty blows. Let this haughty Lord of Despair be sundered by the relentless fury of the Storm.
AAAAWWWW YEEEAAAHHHHH, it's on motherfuckers!

Even now, your instinct tells you that this poor being probably didn't wish for this fate. Yet, it has given itself for a decent fight. So you shall give it the mercy of a quick death, and a clean fight. The death of an honorable soldier. You stand and wait for it to come upon you at speed, and you parry back.

Your swings meet, and you let it get off a decent body hit, more to be honorable than a lack of skill. You let him fight for his life, in honorable combat.

The fight, must be glorious for the ogryn as it howls.

You try, with some difficulty to help reduce some of the anger. The nails, must be freshly installed as your effort seems to be working.

You let him swing with all his might and you swing back at him.

You can sense the rage fading from him, though his swing upon you, if you weren't certain you were going to heal quickly, and there weren't medical attendants to help you, would prove fatal to most.

Your strike has left him on the ground, wheezing. You struck with such force bones have gotten into his internal organs and broke his back.

You can hear him moan.

You go over to the being and he looks up at you.

"Did.. Was it a good fight?" He asks in his simple tone.

"It was. You fought with great courage and strength, as good if not better than many a gladiator." You say holding his hand.

"Is this fight, gonna change things?" He asks.

"Your bravery and selflessness will have saved hundreds of thousands of lives." You say and the being smiles.

"I did good?" He asks again

"You did better than good. You were one of the best combatants I have ever faced." You say. With that, he laughs and coughs, and several bits of blood and bone come out before a gurgle.

You can see the life leave his eyes and his hand stop.

You pick up the beings hammer and walk over to the tent of this general whom you can see the firm countenance hide an inner sadness as you drop the hammer at his feet.

"You gave him a worthy fight, one that would be told of for generations. You fought with honor, so I will honor the old ways. We will leave your city in peace and depart further south."

"What of the slaves and hostages?" You ask and he winces.

"We shall free them, into your cities custody should you desire. We, cannot afford them with this loss." He says as several others begin to look like they were prepared for something.

"What do you mean?" You ask

"We chose to conquer in this direction because we were fleeing a greater armed host. To be fair, if we took this city, we would have likely been able to fortify this position, and fell them after a prolonged siege."

"What is the nature of this enemy army? Why hasn't our Army encountered them?" You ask him.

"Because they weren't in the right area, nor where they advancing the right direction. It would be too far away for them to know." He says.
>>
>>5003649
"I have a general coming here to give me reinforcements against you- how far away is this horde of yours?" You ask.

"With their speed of conquest and our own, maybe two months, maybe two years." He shrugs.

"When Kolinasi, is done with, whatever it is he is doing with the defenses, we are going to have a long discussion." You say and he looks at you, and he probably isn't sure of your meaning.

You can feel the mana. The electricity. It has been with you, your entire life. It has made you stronger. It has made you more capable. It has nourished you, your entire life.

It has added to your speed. It has made you faster.

It has given your blows extra strength.

The Mana has allowed your connection to the machine spirits and their mana be seamless and natural.

You drink deep from the well of mana that this planet is, even it's core helps generate electricity and sweet mana. You, understand that it is the true spark of life.

This being from outside reality. It fears this gift. It fears the lightning.

As it should.

The lights flicker as you draw in as much power as possible for you to do. The being in front of you begins to suddenly realize as his eyes widen, that he is far too big, to be enclosed in such a tiny space

You can feel the joy of all the machine spirits around you as the mana flows into you

"Some of the stories of Kolinaisi are incredibly far-fetched. Like him running on water as part of a surfer trick. Or him being able to intercept a fighter craft on foot. Problem is, those are the incredibly far fetched stories that are true. You also have the downright ridiculous cockamame groxshyte that the Eleventh Legion tells that it would sound dumb if you replaced Kolinaisi with the Emperor. What makes those stories worse is some of those ones- are also true."

"STARBOARD FLANK WHAT THE FUCK WAS THAT?!" Jerah screamed at the top of his lungs as the blast of what could only be described as an overly fat bolt of lightning blew past the ship into the sky.

"I DON'T KNOW JERA I AM LOOKING AT THE READINGS BUT THE BOLT WAS SO POWERFUL IT SCREWED WITH THE CENSORS OR IT ACTUALLY CAME FROM THE GROUND." Little Nasi stated in a frantic voice over the Radio.

"ALL HANDS BRACE, WE ARE MOVING THIS SHIP BEFORE ANYTHING ELSE CRAZY HAPPENS." Jerah screamed as the Something Fierce moved away from the errant bolt.

"A discussion about-"

The very sound of the lightning shook the very earth as it felt as if the sky itself had been torn asunder. The blaze of light so great that most everyone was near blinded from it.

"WHAT HAPPENED?" The general yells to you, as everyone, may have some hearing loss. Your not sure about your hearing either.

"I DON'T KNOW A BIG BOLT OF LIGHTNING! LIKE REALLY BIG AND REALLY CLOSE" one of the men shouts.

"THAT'S IMPOSSIBLE, THERE WAS NO STORM SIGN!" Another man says.

Kolinaisi, probably has something to do with this.

"I WILL BE BACK BEFORE THE DAWN." You shout and the General nods

__

You stomp your feat.

You clap your hands.

You let out a powerful shout.

The second sound leaves your mouth, you unleash all of the storm the hurricane you rode in on into a single bolt.

Not precisely, that amount of electricity is hard to quantify.

But it is enough to ionize most of the roof.

And blow off both wings, and many of the more strange features of this lord of despair. His whole body tinged by the Mana

"What. How?" The being says. Clearly stunned from the strike.

"Now that you have seen my Haka, know that this fight is life and death!" You shout.

"What?

You look to the sky, and you see that you have actually caused a small storm formation overhead.

You know a way you can end this now. It will be very taxing on your body, and it will require a lot of co-operation.

You whisper to your weapon "can you handle that energy, flowing through you"

yes

The spirit whispers back.

You pull in the Mana, the electricity, as if the world around you is responding to answer this warp born monstrosity.

"Oh I think I like this idea" the mysterious voice says once again.

You summon the electricity of a hurricane, and the weather around you changes, even in the room.
__

"Why is it starting to cloud over and storm? Why is it starting to rain?" You hear as you run towards the defensive structure. This, has to be the working of Kolinaisi.

If he can do that- what are you capable of?

What can you become.

You stop for a second.

Kolinaisi was involved in whatever that was.

You are the greatest fighter many have ever seen. You are able to take the pain and rage of others away and bare it upon yourself.

A moments introspection may not be a bad idea.

How long did it take Kolinaisi to find his gifts of speed and electric empathy?

Then you go deaf and a blinding gold light flies out of, what was a roof of the defensive structure Kolinaisi went to.

'Damn it. What now?' So you run. Towards the danger, as you always have.

"Sir, we are seeing storms gather over the horizon." The Triarii stated

"It was a clear night, the weather doesn't behave in that way." Gaius stated.

"Well our farthest scout sent up a fire signal for lightning, and wait."

"Lightning storm? Powerful lightning storm? The signal is- well it's the strangest thing." The Triarii stated

"What?" Gaius asked.

"Golden lightning, Big. Storm?" The Triarii states.

"I imagine we should investigate further, tell the camp we leave at the dawn." Gaius said.

You overcharge the axe to where you can feel the energy from the Adriathic core bleeding into your mana itself.

The power from the electricity and mana, intermingled with the adriathics cosmic energy is almost too much to bare.

The light in the room is almost glowing golden and around you in such a way it's hard to see.

"WHAT IS THIS MADNESS? YOU- DO YOU REALIZE, YOU WILL DESTROY US ALL! TO THE VERY SOUL!" [/I][/B]

"No. Just you." You say quietly as your honor guard realizes what you are about to do and ducks out of the way.

It's stronger than the last bolt.

It's brighter and golden in color.

It's still lightning, but the noise, is stranger than the usual thunder.

The Lord of Despair, is turning to ash, salt and is almost fading out of existence as if his body has been completely disintegrated all but part of the claws falling to the floor dissipating.

Your hands.

Your Arms.

You couldn't feel it at the time but you are no longer glowing, but your arms and hands have changed.

Your tattoos, they have gone down your arms to your fingers in strange fractal and natural patterns, where the tattoo ink has followed down.

The pain of your headache comes on only worse.

Far Worse.

You think you know how big boy felt when you hit him.

The world is sideways.

Erihapti is licking your face and you can sort of hear things.

"Note to self girls! When exorcising a greater daemon a big fuck all beam of atomic lightning will banish it just fine!" Delia says as Gella comes up to check you

"Koli!" She says and you can see the concern in her face.

"Koli!" She says giving you a few light taps as your hearing goes in and out. The pain. Your headache. It's gone now. But the ringing in the ears is still bad.

"I alive." You manage to let out as Angron charges through the door and UR pops up from the basement.

"Yes! Yes You are! Come on Cap! You got a lot of stuff to do." Gella says as the rest of your honor guard gets near you, and Angron offers you his hand. You smile and grab it as your honor guard props you up ad you regain your bearing.

"Ya. I got- spirits, we still gotta get to Olympia." You say.

"Nooo, I need to take you to sick bay. You got lightning scarring, which I have never actually seen on you- but considering the fact you channeled your adriathic weapon- which I am still not fully sure if that weapon is atomic or what- may have weakened you. Or something." Gella says.

"We also have to talk about the invading army." Angron says.

"What about?" You ask

"How they weren't so much invading as conquering in this direction until they found a defenible position to fight against a bigger horde." Angron says.

"Spirits. Is every culture on this planet at war? Is it like a past time?" You ask, realizing a little late you may sound a bit arrogant.

"Nah. Just most of it." Angron says patting your back.

"Sorry I took a little longer, I went and automated the power flow, which is now possible thanks to you defeating, whatever that was.

"So the defenses, work?" Angron asks.

"And they are now 100% free of warp nasty stuff and are reliable machine spirits." You say and you can feel the triumphant hum of the machines grow in agreement.

"My Emperor, the archaeo alarm went off."

"What? What would set it off near here?"

"Well as unrealistic and farfetched as it sounds, an Adriathic blast exiting the atmosphere of a planet near the sector we were planning the push into."

"Do we have a name?"

"Nuceria? Or that is what we are told, they did some trade with some local human tribes- however it could just as easily be the rumored Ganth."

"Malcador, when we actually encounter the Ganth, we need to have a special kind of punishment for their utter betrayal of humanity."

"We shall. Do you wish your push towards the east?"

"Yes. But, which of our legions are ahead."

"Well at this point the farthest are obviously the Star Pioneers, The Iron Hands, And to the far far south east, and oddly the closest"

"The Iron Hearts."

"They are certainly living up to the gag name Constantine Valdor gave them of The Temerity. Though with how far they could almost be your royal phantoms."

"We already have those. Have them push in that direction when they are readily available. An Adriathic Blast? I thought that your order found all the adriathic pattern machinery long ago."

"Well, there was one Sigillite from ages past- and if they are still alive there is a higher than zero percent chance that he has the technology and the skill to rebuild it."

"Why weren't they on earth?"

"He was an odd one, at least as far as I know from records. If they are still alive, they would be older than me by a large amount. You would have to ask them."

"Someone like that- would be key to find. The lost light of golden age technology, that would make this crusade significantly easier."

"Of course it would. I will set in motion the orders for the Iron Hearts."

Somewhere deep down, the emperor knew one of his sons had to be involved in this. He wasn't sure how, but he just knew it.

As you step out of the ruined building, you can clearly see, not just Yana, but your entire Honor Guard cares deeply for you.

"Koli-Cap. You, How long have the headaches been bad?" Gella asks

"Since trying the A.T.E." You admit.

"And we need that, shit." Gella says.

"Brother, there is still much to do, if you could stay a little bit longer, it may help us."

"Are we still, somewhat ahead of schedule?" You mutter still reeling from the pain

"Ya. Technically we could restart the shore leave, but-" Yana says and then looks up at the ship.

"The window to Olympia gets more difficult the longer we stay." You say.

"Well that but also all the moka on the inside." Yana says.

"Captain, it's your call."

"We are staying, a little longer." You say.

I remember the half-face dagger and the meteor with storm, but we got some more after and I want to be sure, since they are going to be glowing.

Special K isn't the type to gloat (unless he's performing a haka for friends and family). He can let his tattoos speak for him.

Before I get to the evening Input let me answer that right now!

Kolinaisis Tattoos are as follows.

Big Man Face Tattoo, upper half of face knives like the portrait- which because it was so badass and I didn't think of it. They also represent the teeth of big boy.

Left Shoulder- 'The Comet' he rode in on passing through a hurricane,

Right Shoulder- Big Boy in tribal style, again he had slain

Upper waist/ chest belt - Continuous unbroken wave

Elbow upper arm L/R - Two big man bars which are, in this case, triangles like shark teeth representing the yum shark which he taught his people how to catch.

L/R arm/ sleeve to hand- noctolith lichtenberg effect fractals down to his hands.

Lower Waist - belt an unbroken black bar which is for warriors, any tattoos above this and below the high waist/chest tattoo line are for battles, triumphs, good deeds.

Legs - nothing yet.

Feet - A goat, a chicken and a pig for good luck /tradition because those livestock always swim to shore.

Thanks old man.
I'm glad that the knifes are now canon on being on the upper half of the face, it makes it easier to look good since it's more space to work with.
What's a big man bar? How do they look like other than just being triangles?

"First of, it's lunch time young man. Secondly, you know I don't need to sleep. What's going on? How did the mission go?" The old man asks.

"Well, our new friend and I - we found something. Something that is incredibly hard to describe and our new friend seems to know." You say.

"Describe it as best as ya can."

"Stop me when it sounds familiar. A powerful being or a few piled together, and the creation of something made out of the sacrifice of many others." He says, in a stunningly calm tone, with unnerving accuracy.

"Ya. That's-"

"Exactly why you do not open it. Do not listen to it. Keep it away from any electronics. Do not let it out into an area without a gellar field in the warp. Do not modify it. Do not open it. Do not lose track of it. Do not dare destroy it. For the love of your mother don't space it. And whatever you do, Do. Not. Open It." The old man says in the most insistent tone you have ever heard.

"Well what is -"

"Kolinaisi. I aint even gonna name it over comms. Other people might have access to it. When you get back we will figure out IF we can do something with it. Is our new friend nearby?" Old man asks.

"No." You say

"Angron! Can you hear my old man voice?" The old man says

"Yes- umm, hello?"

"Hello young man! Listen well. If Kolinaisi ever does anything stupid with the weird black box you just heard, or thinks he is about to open it, I implore you to beat the stupid out of him." The old man says.

"Old man, have you even seen anybody get close to hittin Kolinaisi?"

"His da, his ma has never failed to hit him with his slipper, his uncle kai, his pet shoal stoat, Gella!"

"Ya old man?"

"Hit Kolinaisi with one of your witch combat boots if he gets any smart ideas about that black box!" You hear the old man say as you see Gella put on an exceptionally devious smirk.

"You know I only let you get away with this because you a lonely old man." You say over the comm

"No you let me get away with this because your ma would say the same thing if she knew what I did about that box. Also don't let our new friend linger too long near it." He says.

"Yeah, I figure. Would a barrel drum and water do for a good hidin place for it?"

"Ya. You have anything else besides that for me?" He asks.

"Well, I did channel mana into an Adriathic weapon, overcharged it and shot a really big bolt of it. I got some neat looking tattoos now, that are this fractal pattern and are tied to scarring."

"Kolinaisi, don't do that. We will go over any long term damage that may have happened when Ya get back, I am afraid I am gonna have to teach poor Gella as much as I can about Biology, Medicine and First Aid just so I don't lose you." The Old Man says.

"Thanks old man. We will get you a neat souvenir. We found some tomatoes."

"Good lad! I'll have a few crops going when you bring that back." The Old man says.

"Tell my parents we are gonna be moving on to the next planet soon. And tell my da Jerah Jero finally has his Moka done." You say

"HA! Your da is gonna love that." He says.

You put out the comm and you walk with Angron and Gella towards what looks like a small gathering.

"So, this is the general?" You ask.

"Yes it is. He agreed to surrender after his champion lost to me in a combat trial. It was a good clean fight, and I won." Angron says.

"What did you fight with?" You ask and Angron points, to what looks like a cross between a tree and a poorly made hammer.

"That?" You ask

"That." He responds.

"That, just looks- weird and awkward to use."

"It's worse. They are unbalanced, unwieldly to even hold." Angron states.

"And you won with it?" You ask flummoxed as to how anyone, could win with such a weapon.

"Yes. General Uric, son of Gar." Angron says motioning to the man whom has the largest and most complex mustache you have ever seen, to the point it is bigger than the beards of some of the island folk.

"Angron says that you have fixed the defenses of the city. What do you plan to do about the coming horde?"

"I thought you were the coming horde? Or are we talking about the army of Gaius." You say- then you realize, with so much troop activity and so much going on, a giant army could sneak into position.

"We are Cheragotha yes- but the Arogotha, they are the ones we fled from. We were going to use the city for defense against them." It's almost too easy.

"Tomorrow, when Gaius arrives, we will go into further detail about this. We will have a ceasefire and truce for now, I am sure my brother Angron agrees to this." You say

"I do. We will work out a truce then, you came at an interesting time." Angron says.

"We will abide by the truce. We will be happy to meet with your general in peace if it means we can stand against the Arogotha."

You shake hands and You sit down for a moment on a stump. You realize there is more to do this, but you also realize you are on limited time, and you should probably at least get back to the ship. On the other hand, Angron has basically given hospitality.

Honestly, I think it's time to let Angron deal with this problem on his own. Helping him too much would hinder his growth, and I trust he is more than capable of solving it all.
Meanwhile, we have some prisoners that are related to the reason we came here int he first place, and I really want to know more about that luna refugee.

"Angron, I am going to go to my ship for the night, it would probably be better for recovery and crew morale. As much as I would like to sit outside and stargaze with ya bro." You say and Angron smiles.

"It's best that I get to the gladiators and explain to them how things are going to be run from now on." He says patting you on the back and walks off.

"Gella, we still got a little work to do." You say

"Oh what is that?" She asks

"We still have to interrogate some of the captured individuals, I didn't have much time last time, but"

"If you are wanting to patch up people you beat half to death you better hope they are really bad people." Gella says.

"Well not just that. Some of the people we need to interrogate are in bad shape." You say and she nods.

When you get to the site where all the interrogatee's are, you find that some things have been changed.

Some people have been let go.

Some new people are present, however it seems that Frank had the foresight to put them into little areas where they couldn't talk to each other, and with enough distance that it wouldn't be easy to communicate.

He also put colorful tags on them such as "Degenerate Slave Owner" "Fat Degenerate Slave Owner" "Tell Kolinaisi to kill slow and painfully" "Potentially a spy" "Dangerous Degenerate Slave Owner" "Fatty Fat Fat Fat Degenerate Fat Baldy" and your personal favorite "Future Shark Kibble." Though you can see why Frank is upset when you read the listed crimes for some of them when you read it next to tags coding.

Each Tag would have a coorisponding Color, that was very visually simplistic, Dark Red meant that the person had done horrible things, Green Blue meant that the persons only crimes were probably being in the wrong during the revolution. In the case of 'Fatty Fat Fat Fat Degenerate Fat Baldy' redirecting some of the better food from the gladiatorial pits to himself 'for unspecified reasons. In the Case of 'Future Shark Kibble' when you read the description of this man stealing children from their mothers for selling to pleasure houses you are tempted to kill them upon seeing them.

However, you know that each one has what frank also coded as "Intelligence Value" and the remaining ones all have intelligence value.
As you go through the list you realize, you will be only able to interrogate so many.
>>
>>5007046

___

You can interrogate 3 from this list.

>"Evil Genetic Psycho Lady Slave Owner" - Has a the darkest red shaded tag, the highest intelligence value, and according to Frank has 'Done every evil thing that is listed by others.' She is smiling and sitting pristinely in a chair.

> "Fatty Fat Fat Degenerate Fat Baldy"- Has done listed crimes, but also has for whatever reason a high intelligence value. Frank has also put a note saying 'DO NOT FEED.'

> " Tell Kolinaisi to Kill Slowly and Painfully" - Has a bright red band, some intelligence value, but- is apparently the person who started the trend of installing nails on everyone.

> "Potentially a Spy" - has a blue green tag, has ' no crimes committed' but has a note that says 'was doing weird spy like stuff and was acting weird.'

> "Dangerous Degenerate Slave Owner" Looks familiar, and has a string of crimes that looks similar to many others.

> " Future Weapons Training Target" Makes you wretch when you read his tag, but apparently has a high amount of connections and supposed ganth cybernetics

> "Nobody can really be this stupid, so is clearly a spy" - has crime of, literally trying to steal from Frank and certain chain breakers in full view of Frank- then denying it.

> "Mentally Derranged Fatty Bald Fat Slave Owner" - has a list of, almost eccentric and ridiculous charges and claims to be a slave owner and someone who can see the future, Frank has stated that when asked about his future it was "Too Far-Fetched" and thus listed as mental derrangement.

> "Can't understand but keeps trying to kill people" - has a scarlet band and just a note that says "Tries to kill anything moving, but doesn't speak any known language. Will not take off weird armor."

> "Simple Farmer of Misery and Slave Owner" Has an orange band. Lists the crimes of making and selling drugs that brought problems to the local populations and selling said same drugs to children. Also a farmer of related herbs. Only partial intelligence value.

The Ganth are the reason we came here in the first place
> "Can't understand but keeps trying to kill people" - has a scarlet band and just a note that says "Tries to kill anything moving, but doesn't speak any known language. Will not take off weird armor."
I'm curious
>"Evil Genetic Psycho Lady Slave Owner" - Has a the darkest red shaded tag, the highest intelligence value, and according to Frank has 'Done every evil thing that is listed by others.' She is smiling and sitting pristinely in a chair.
I'm going to trust Frank that she has valuable info. Also I think she is the Luna one, and I want to know what a Selenar is doing here.
Probably a refugee and sold her genetic modification knowledge to rise up, but I wnat to be sure.

Get the info before they starve
2nd
> "Nobody can really be this stupid, so is clearly a spy" - has crime of, literally trying to steal from Frank and certain chain breakers in full view of Frank- then denying it.
Just to get them out of the way
3rd
> "Simple Farmer of Misery and Slave Owner" Has an orange band. Lists the crimes of making and selling drugs that brought problems to the local populations and selling said same drugs to children. Also a farmer of related herbs. Only partial intelligence value.
Could have info that can help angron with the local drugs distribution

For the rest we should still be able to keep them right QM
If we can it could be good to question them when we have some down time and then send the info to angron should it help him and/or his world
We should give him something like what we have to communicate with old man, or if not something simpler till we can get him the high tech version we have
>>
>>5007093
You could theoretically keep some of them. They don't have to be fatal interrogation.
>>
>>5007121
Yeah, I'm thinking we could go along with some "light" shock therapy to maybe "stimulate" them should we try to be a bit more aggressive, though for most of them I think we could just be threatening and many a haka to scare them

I think we should at least keep
> "Can't understand but keeps trying to kill people"
> " Tell Kolinaisi to Kill Slowly and Painfully"
> " Future Weapons Training Target"
>"Evil Genetic Psycho Lady Slave Owner"

>For the 1st I'm thinking their may be more to them than is given

>The 2nd and 3rd, well Frank did give us a clear message of what to do with them once we get the info so we can take our time with them

>For the 4th I'm thinking we may have to take our time with this one since it seems they can have a lot to offer info wise, and we shouldn't just interrogate them in a quick and rushed manner

We can always give send relevant info to angron will we travel to the other world

For the rest I think we can leave them to frank while we are interrogating our choices
>>
>>5007121
In that case, I'm switching my vote to
> " Future Weapons Training Target" Makes you wretch when you read his tag, but apparently has a high amount of connections and supposed ganth cybernetics

But we need to keep Evil Genetic Psycho Lady Slave Owner (I don't know if genetic is a typo of generic or a joke on her being a selenar gene-witch), Mentally Derranged Fatty Bald Fat Slave Owner, Dangerous Degenerate Slave Owner and
Can't understand but keeps trying to kill people.
>>5007671
>>5007093
Can I try to convince you to interrogate the suposed spies and the ganth trader? The spies because there's a chance they are innocent and be let go, and the ganth man because he may have info that would be useful in Olympia.
I think the fat man isn't fed because he is being starved to death, but because he is so fat that he could probably survive a century with what he has.
>>
>>5007710
You make a good point, in that case I'll swap
> "Fatty Fat Fat Degenerate Fat Baldy"- Has done listed crimes, but also has for whatever reason a high intelligence value. Frank has also put a note saying 'DO NOT FEED.'
With

> "Potentially a Spy" - has a blue green tag, has ' no crimes committed' but has a note that says 'was doing weird spy like stuff and was acting weird.'
And for
> "Simple Farmer of Misery and Slave Owner" Has an orange band. Lists the crimes of making and selling drugs that brought problems to the local populations and selling said same drugs to children. Also a farmer of related herbs. Only partial intelligence value.
We could give him to angron and provide him the info we have on the individual so he can come to his own decision on the matter
If the ganth man could provide us with info on olympia then it wouldn't matter if we interrogate him now or later while we are on our way,
>>
>>5007093
Changing my vote to

First one to do, since he might have relevant information that we can run against the other two and weed out the lies from the truth.

Tied for second in my opinion. On one hand, the spy might not have much to give us beyond some remaining secretive parties on Nuceria or abroad. On the other, Mr. Painful Chrome Accessories should be made to answer for his crimes in front of Angron and the representatives of the new government.

>"Evil Genetic Psycho Lady Slave Owner" - Has a the darkest red shaded tag, the highest intelligence value, and according to Frank has 'Done every evil thing that is listed by others.' She is smiling and sitting pristinely in a chair.
Save the worst for last. Holy fuck.

Also as an idea; what if we include Pygmalius in the interrogations? I mean, we can kinda-sorta bluff about 'having the Centimanes drain their minds with the Laurel' if they don't give us the information we want.

Miss Smug and Creepy probably won't fall for that, but the other two might.
>>

Actually, you make a good point.
Should we hand over the nailman to Angron instead of killing him ourselves?
It was the slaves and gladiators that suffered from his actions afterall.

Was bored and decided to spice it up. Not sure if I did anythign with this pic before

>The Trident (aka The Trinity) are a trio of Archaeotech weapon systems found in the depths of the Northern Hemisphere of De' lormosa

>The results were spectacular at the edge of the system as one of the points/prongs eradicated the derelict Luna-class Light Cruiser used as a target when at 10% power.

>So far efforts have been made to restore them to full functionality and hopefully recreate the cannons to serve as the weapon of new ships or even as emplacements

Exactly so. Angron seems to have some form of empathic powers, so he might even be able to Jedi Mind Trick some of these idiots with softer minds into revealing juicy intel.

>>5008542
Oooohhhh, I like that. Maybe it doesn't have such devastating power to blast battleships from across the system, but I'm pretty sure there's a xeno-tech ship weapon in the Rogue Trader tabletop splats that exists purely as an absolute FUCK YOU to void shields.

Also, I just remembered that those other planets in De'lormosa's home system are currently contested between humans and Orks. It was what kept the Knight House busy for so long. We'll have to add visiting them to the ever-growing list of Things To Do.
>>
>>5008542
I feel a weird desire to strap all of them to a ship, give command to the old man and cut him lose.
I do not know why.

Actually, talking about the old man, should we try to convince him to not go with his plan to become mortal again? It feels wrong to let such a repository of knowledge just die, even if he passes on all of it. I'm sure that there are ways can redeem himself without doing it
>>
>>5008597
> It feels wrong to let such a repository of knowledge just die, even if he passes on all of it. I'm sure that there are ways can redeem himself without doing it.
From what I remember about that discussion, he doesn't plan on dying SOON. Rather, he's going trade his agelessness for a youthful, powerful body that's likely to be akin to a newly inducted Astartes, so he can aid Kolinaisi in his various endeavors without being a liability in combat abroad.

So we're talking at least another century or so of life, which is still more than many get, and through it all he's going to be making up for all that squandered time, and of course train up some students to carry on his better works for nobler purposes.

Hell, I know it's been talked about here and in 2nd Primarch Quest threads, but I think that while Malcador is (maybe) another Perpetual and was simply the last survivor of the Sigilite Order, Dr. Martin Longorian's previously mentioned rank suggests he was one of their top big brains; maybe even one of the original founders.
>>
>>5008734
I don't think he is one of the original founders, but there's a big chance his father was.
And I doubt that Malcador didn't have a higher rank than him, the man of gold and the sigilites worked with the Emperor back when he was still trying to guide humanity indirectly, so it's likely Mal got a big promotion due to being close to him. But Martin Thompson Archivaris is older than Malcador, so he probably has way more knowledge and experiences.
As long as the Old Man gets to meet with the Big E and Mal, can help deal with the cube, cover for UR and pass on all his knolwedge I'm happy, even though I would like keep him around helping us forever, because he would be invaluable helping fix any problems with the geneseed, the webway project and even the heresy.
If his artastes grade body doesn't survive atleast a thousand years, he should get a refund.

There's a period of something like three to four hundred years between Emps actually starting his expansion from Terra to the first open Heresy conflict, which itself was waged for (I think, don't quote me) almost two hundred.

I think the Old Man will have plenty of time. As for the Webway project itself? I don't think he trusted anyone outside his VERY small and exclusive personal circle with that information.

> If his Astartes grade body doesn't survive at least a thousand years, he should get a refund.
It's worth remembering that that even Astartes are only so durable, both physically and mentally; I think the oldest Space Marine that isn't a Dreadnought is Dante of the Blood Angels, and he's still only a thousand years old.

It's never actually described how a Perpetual can retain ages worth of memories without their brains turning to cranial smoothie, but I'd hate to see anything like that play out for the old man.
>>
>>5008872
Apparently Dante has ruled the Blood Angels for 1100 years, meaning that he even older that that because he had to rise to the position of chapter master first.
I'm pretty sure that most astartes don't live that long because of battlefield casualties or the eventual mutation and/or madness.
If the old man hasn't either insane or senile for now, than he has a method to deal with the excess memories. Maybe he just regurlaly offloads on a computer or something, his area of expertise is bioengineering, he must have a few tricks.
Maybe our legion should call their techpriests, librarians, chaplain or any combination of them as Archivists, in honour of him.
>>
>>5008903
Could even have multiple 'branches', similarly to how the Thousand Sons have their Psykana Cults.
> Archivists are the keepers of knowledge (scientific and mystical included) of the Legion, and regularly consult with others outside the Eleventh to keep appraised of any new information as well as sharing their own with allies.
With the many differing schools of learning, they'd probably see some overlapping service with the Apothecaries and Techmarines. As for psychic disciplines, I could see them using a combo of Telepathy and Telekinesis.
> The Storm Dancers are the Temerity's equivalent to the Librarians of the other Legions, and are those most often seen in battle. However they are also the keepers of the Eleventh's more personal histories, De'lormosa's cultures; as the name suggests, they regularly regale brothers and allies with the glorious tales of those passed in beautiful verse and proud haka.
Like the Archivists, would probably have some overlap with the Chaplains. Probably use a combo of Divination and Biomancy/Pyromancy.

And so on. The REALLY interesting bit though is whether or not any of the Techmarines will be able to follow in K's footsteps, and if psychic machine-marines could be a thing.
>>
>>5008930
I was thinking to fuse chaplains and tech-marines, giving that our sons will probably be really into a version of the machine cult.
The archivists being either biomancer experts, or fusing with the apothecaries could be good giving the biology inclination.
Whatever happens, the legion must nickname them old men, even if they are freshly induced.
>>
>>5008930
Oh, and about some of our sons inheriting, I find it really hard, since apparently Kolinaisi's soul is fused with a machine spirit.
Maybe one or the other will have a bit of the abilities, but being able to wield real lighting or directly talk to a bunch of them at once should nigh impossible, unless they are heavily augmented themselves and managed to gain harmony and synchonization with their cybernetics.
Perhaps there could be a ritual where a tech-priest inheritsa cybernatic from an ancenstor, and if they already have some afinity those abilities could awaken?

I see what's going on. So I am going to benevolent and give

__
You look at some of these people, and realize it may be better to take them off world and deal with them later. However, some need to be dealt with NOW. Key among these, is the one that makes you angry just looking at. 'The Future Weapons Training' Is probably the one you need to interrogate. You came here to find out what the Ganth are doing, and they have Ganth implants and clear Ganth sign.

Then there is 'Nobody can be this stupid, it's clearly a spy' and 'potentially a spy' whom both need to be interrogated- equally as much.

You then realize that there are too many for you to deal with alone- so you decide to put a few with a red mark, for Angron to deal with.

So you list "Tell Kolinaisi to kill very slowly" "Evil Genetic Psycho Lady Slave Owner" and "Fatty Fat Fat Degenerate Baldy Fat" as special notes for Angron.

Gella looks at your choices skeptically and pulls you aside briefly.

"Koli- I am actively trying to deny the Evil Genetic Psycho Lady. She is a psyker. Not as good as me, but it's gonna be annoying for me to deal with her and help you." She says so you give her the volcano ash rub and shrug.

"Well, that is one way to handle it." Gella says and goes of and slaps it all over her face. Causing the lady to scream out a tirade of extremely high form language that you can barely comprehend past her high born tone.

Gella and you then decide to take out 'Future Weapons Training' and actually- decide that this may be a good time to get some practice in with your rifle with Gella, since the two of you don't get to do weapons drills as often as you probably should.

"Ok, Gella, It don't kick, but whatever you hit is gonna disintigrate, and painfully so. So we got them nice tin plates in the back in case you miss." You say giving her your axe.

"Spirits Cap! You freaking swing this thing around like it's a dagger! It was more than a kid!" She says, which you know she is exaggerating for effect, but also using her formidable psyker powers to help her lift it.

You then put an orange on top of the man's head.

"Hold still." You say to him and he starts sweat beads as he stops struggling but looks as if he is about to have a fit.

"Now Gella, we are gonna start in this close and move out a bit further each shot. This rubbish man Gantha has given everything he got to Frank, so if you kill him, we move on to idiot spy number one, then idiot spy number two, then the fatty over there to test how much disintigrates from the adriathic weapon ya got it?" You see and Gella already knows this game.

"Now hold on! I have information that could be valuable!"

"Ya Ya. I promise I'll hit the orange this time." She says with a sly quick wink.
+
>>
>>5009108

"You see- you say that, but I know the last time we did this we ran out of orange stands." You say and you bring her in close to you and hold the rifle up to her eye level. She's got red face, again. She must be embarrassed about you actually taking this seriously. Gella could be a better shot than Frank, if she had the time. Though her heart fluttering and her breath changing up is something new.

"Alright, this axe is different from your lance rifles, but if you can hit the orange with this you can hit anything with your lance rifle. You gotta cycle shot's between breaths, easy in easy out pause..." And you help her pull the trigger, blowing up the orange.

"Just like that" You say

"Yea Cap." She says in a nervous tone as you go over and put up another orange and the guy looks at you incredibly nervous.

"ARE YOU SHITTING ME? IS THIS AN INTERROGATION OR A DATE?! LOOK I DIDN'T TELL THAT MUSTACHED PSYCHO EVERYTHING! I GOT THE GANTH'S SCHEDULE AND STAR CHART! I KNOW THEIR CHAIN OF COMMAND! JUST DON'T MAKE HER PRACTICE WITH THAT RIFLE ON ME SHE'S GONNA FUCKING KILL ME!" He panics and soils himself. Despite having a fierce list of crimes, he wilts in the face of such a death.

"No she won't bruh. I got you rubbish man. See. I know Gella. She can hit anything when something important is on the line. Do you know how Adriathic weapons work?"

"How the hell would I know how some obscure magic gun works?!"

"It's really easy! You see it only disintegrates the key target. IE if something is sitting on something naturally, like that orange on your head, it will just rip it right out of existence at the molecular level. If it's a natty shot."

"GOOD TO KNOW!" He says trying his best not to shake as Gella is standing firm.

"However, if that target is integrated, like say I am holding the orange, it will take the orange and me out!" You say messing with the orange.

"So let's say- You and me are close like this..." You say putting a death grip to the mans collar bone, crushing it and causing him to scream out in pain.

"GAAAHH! WHAT HAPPENS THEN?"

"You see, if Gella misses the mark a little bit or the orange is in the wrong place, we both die, with the orange. But I know Gella will make the shot." You say confidently.

"Koli- Captain. This- This is incredibly dangerous."

"Aye! That it is! But I know you. You aint gonna miss. Now fire the weapon on your ready." You say. The mans shaking like a leaf. The orange is barely staying on the head as bright flash occurs and the orange is gone.

"Great Job Gella!" You say stepping away from the man and putting another orange on top of his head.

"Now, unless this man has something to say, we are gonna try another shot on him, but we are gonna have him a little bit farther out."

"GAH! UNHAND ME. Just. Stop. I'll draw maps. I'll name names. Please, I don't want to die like this. Being some joke" He says.

"Well Gella, do you think your good with short range, or do you want more practice?" You ask.

"I think we can arrange for this to be over with." She says.

The man gives you a list of systems. Systems. Several. The Ganth, use an area near Olympia as a rally point for their elites, and some are flying through a very close by system called Ulutrama? Ultrimare? It sounds so foreign. He also identified the key Ganth outpost, along the way to Olympia. He says they are all migrating out of the actual galaxy. Half are going east, really far east. The other half are going so far south that they past the farthest known star in the southen disc. He also gave you a readout of the Ganth leadership, or at least ones he knew.

"Ganth are gettin worried. They got kicked out of some areas, one of their flagships got stolen. They starting to get like a cornered tiger."

"Mate I don't know what a tiger is."

"You not gonna shoot me?"

"Naw mate. Ya gonna face judgement from the people tomorrow. They gonna hold a nice court for ya. I imagine if they kill ya it'll probably just be a hanging, despite all your crimes." You say through clinched teeth. You honestly want to test to see if you can kill a man by stealing all their mana, but you feel that with how dark and terrible this man is, their mana is probably corrupt too. The man sits back in the makeshift cell.

"As for dummy number one and dummy number two." You say looking at both the spies

"Spies usually get tortured to death for info. Problem is I am a bit rusty on torture. I am good at medicine and surgery, but Gella- she knows hot to do proper torture. Isn't that right Gella?" You say and Gella nods with the meanest look she can muster.

"So, which one of you is the more important one?" And you have a shocking revelation.

This person, may actually be too dumb to be a spy.

The potential spy points to the other one who points to himself.

"Mate- why are you more important than that lad over there?" You ask.

"Well cuz I am. Duh." He says.

"That is good to know, but I need intelligence sources, information, like who your boss is." You say

"I'm My own boss! You want an intelligent source? I am an intelligent source! I got information. There is a book. It glows." He says and, you are already worried if maybe Frank already beat him too much.

"A book that glows?" You ask

"Ya! It's a book. It Glows. I know everything Now! I know stuff. Things." He says

"Oh stuff like where the ganth are? Who the strange hordes riding in are? What number am I thinking of 1-20" You say thinking of the number 0 to throw them off if they are a psyker, but also to see how confident they are."

"The Ganth are in Space. Far away! They never come back here. Weird hordes are fish people. They gonna ride in here on a cloud and wild wind! You aint thinking of a number one through 20 you a liey liar liey face." He says, which makes you less skeptical, but it may be a good idea to test them a bit further.

"Alright mate, I did lie. But let's try another question if ya so smart. Where am I from, what am I doin next, and whose my daddy?" You ask a few more questions.

"You from the birds bunghole. You gonna go meet a big weirdo- bigger weirdo than you. Ya daddy's a big golden bag of shit who hangs around with his other bastards he didn't tell ya about." You about throttle him but Gella holds him back as he starts laughin

"Oh ya like ya daddy? He don't even know you exist he such a big bag of gold shit. Ask him about why he care about there favorite missin son so much. Constantly mad ya?" And that doesn't sound like your dad at all. It does sound like your dad missing Yana though.

"Oh just ya wait the next little bit of info dum dum. You gonna fin some thing you cant fix. Maybe you find out you need more than a butt load of space boats to solve problems! You should really thank ya old man nexin you speak em uh? May hap he fixin ya issue." He says and Gella knocks him out.

"He's just an idiot." She says

"That book though, it may be something we need to destroy." You say

"Aye. If it does that to a person, yeah." She says back.

"Maybe we move on to that spy"

"That man is just weird, he says shit that unerves everyone. Yeah I was a spy. I know what the penalty is for getting caught. You can go ahead, do whatever you want. I won't speak. And if you think you are gonna torture me to death and inflict a bunch of pain untill I die, well, you may be a surgeon, but I happen to know a good dentist." The man says.

"What does that have to do with anythin-" and before Gella can finish the statement he does a weird thing with his tongue and a tooth comes loose which he almost bites before you take it out of his mouth.

"Woo lad! A suicide pill! And a good one! These aint cheap! I know this aint on world tech, they don't have any of this in that data repository. So you must be an off worlder. "

"Winner, Winner, Chicken dinner. Still aint telling you a damn thing. "

"Mate, I ain't asking you to sell out your friends or people, I just want to know about the Ganth, and you don't seem like them."

"Well I don't know anymore about the Ganth than these other people. And I aint from around here but I can tell you this, when my people get here, to this planet- everything will change. Sure, you and Your brother will probably be in the same position, but there is so much that you don't know. And you can't make me tell you. My people are in the right. You may even like them. But I will hold my ground between you and your witch friend. " He says.

"Mate, you got balls of metal I aint ever heard of. I am just trying to find either trade partners or people to help me kill the ganth." And to your shock, he looks like he considers it.

"Where are you going next?" He asks

"My crew and I are leaving for Olympia. Why?" You ask

"If you can go through Segmentum Ultramar, and pass within comms reach of Maccrage, maybe, just maybe, you can find a trade partner. But you have to act fast. You wouldn't be able to do it on the way back. It would be a slightly better partner than this planet. More goods, slightly more ciivized. "

"These people friends of yours?" You ask

"Sorta. Not really. They are kinda like distant cousins of a close friend that I do errands for. " He says

"I will ask you one question, that determines if you live or not, and answer it honestly, Gella and I will know, did you help with any of the slavery on this or any other planet?" You ask.

"Never. That's abhorrent. " He says and you can tell he speaks the truth.

You have some things that you can do before returning to the ship, but only really time for one more thing

Sorry the update took so long tonight. It's a bit bigger and a lot to digest. Tomorrow will be smaller, but have more options.

I will post tomorrow night once I am done driving.

I'm calling it, this guy's one of the Imperial advanced scouts/spies.

If it makes him feel better, the only person thus far to suffer for K's sometimes reckless behavior is himself. As the Old Man might say, "That boy be changin' like the wind - smart as a whip one minute an' denser than black rock the next."

> Try to track down this Glowing Book and destroy it.
Alternatively, we send a couple of the ladies like Delia with a proper disintegration weapon and some Noctolith wards. Thus far, it seems like the girls have all the proper training to block out daemonic whispers/influence, so they can handle destroying a wannabe Necronomicon with the right tools.

> Convey your intelligence with Angron
One last gift before we go. It's been cool my most exceptionally killy dude, but we got ghoulish Ganth to gank and gut, and a particularly perturbed person to practically pilfer for our pertinent purposes.

I amuse myself.

I wrote a huge write-in, but it was too autistic even for me. Let's try to make a deal with him, if he helps us and stop spying on us, we can provide him with amnesty and hand him over when his employers turn up. Try to find out which unstoppable power he owrks with, mention we know that Terra is expanding and that we have found smuggled martian weapons recently if needed.
> Try to track down this Glowing Book and destroy it.
Ask Delia to bring it back for destruction.

>Evil Genetic Psycho Lady Slave Owner
She's a gene-witch, and we have the tools to interrogate her. Disregard if Angron is already interrigating her instead of us just leaving her here for him to deal with, if he us than

Arrived safe at first destination.

No time to do writing that will come tomorrow. It will be a shorter update.

However, I do have a post to help.

Which smaller post do want to do? You get two.
