The multiverse is an unstable thing, a sea of bubbles constantly forming and falling in on itself. In this chaotic primordial soup, one bubble stands out. Unlike the others, its conditions were just right to lead to a spark of creation being set ablaze however fleeting. Will this be the beginning of something greater or will this spark be snuffed out like the rest?

Welcome to Primordial God Quest! In this quest, you will control a celestial being, or god, and try to survive the imminent collapse of the universe. In order to play, you will need to fill out a character sheet like the following

>Name
>Domain
>Ren
>Background

A domain is a primordial concept or idea given form. Domains represent the spheres of influence a god holds sovereignty over. Any actions of creation they may do will need to relate to it in some way. Only one god may hold a specific domain at a time and if that domain is destroyed so is the concept it represents.

Ren is the primordial conception of the energy given off by the spark of creation. Without it, a god isn’t divine and has no power to influence the universe.

If you choose to have two domains you start off with 4 Ren while if you choose to only have one you get 6 Ren.

Ex Sheet:
>Name: Admous
>Domains: Fire and Earth
>Ren: 4/4
>Background: As the primordial concepts of flame and earth intermingled they led to the rise of a consciousness known as Admous. He wishes to see his elements flourish in this dying world.

>Alcmo
>Gambling and Debts
>Ren: 4/4
>Alcmo was among the first men, and also among the first to die. Living his mortal life, he spent much of it gambling and the rest getting up to mischief, and eventually the people of his city grew tired of his pranks and his debts, and so they hung him in the city streets. Once he met Death, he persuaded him to play a game of chance for his soul. Using every trick he had picked up in his life spent gambling, he beat Death and gained his life back. Death however, was unused to failure, and so demanded another round, upping the ante. Again and again Alcmo beat death, and higher and higher did the ante rise. Eventually, after gambling away everything in his possession, Death finally conceded, and realized that he had given away his own divinity over the course of the games. Now Alcmo walks the earth, traveling from gambling house to dens of sin, racking up debts and winnings with each visit.

Jor was the echo of an idea, what could happen? When stones bang together to make fire, how could you make it better? Make the fire larger? Make it last longer? When creation was finished creating, it died and Jor burst from the remains of the spark, gleeful and watching, now ready to begin improving it.

I feel the need to clarify myself that I was not insinuating Quelon died with "when creation was finished creating it died". Just that Jor was born when we had a world 1.0 that began to change.
My haste to get the post out may have detracted from that meaning.

Oh nice some of the old guys are back, hope the game goes better for apothis this time. ;)

>>5212822
Changing the background to be a little more fleshed out:

> Yrsiil formed within the darkest expanses of the space between spaces, for millennia he laid dormant within the black expanse in a neverending slumber. He had dreamt of an infinite sea, a beautiful ocean writhe with life. This vision of the future disgusted him, Yrsiil was born from the abyss a creature of the deep, the dark dredges of spaces. The sea as he envisioned it was a terrifying future, an afront to his very existence.

>He vowed to create an eternal void far below the water, an eternal swathe of black, an infinite abyss. This would be the closest emulation of the depths that he was born in. Yrsiil considered the depths to be ultimate perfection. All creation was vile to him.

>His ultimate goal is to bring everything into the deep, the eternal abyss. To end all life that partakes in the atrocity known as creation, engulfing the stars and destroying the spark.

From this great morass of metal and fire, Eremog formed, possessed of a drive to forge and improve and repair, as the sacrifices that brought him to life once did.
And when he looked around himself, he saw that, indeed, there was much to fix.

How to play:

Each god may do 4 things within a turn including attacking, defending, fleeing, and creating.
—--------------------------------------------------
Creation: Out of the chaos of primordial nothiningnes a god may harness the Ren they currently hold and use it to shape the universe. There are three types of creation: artifact, mortal, and universal. The primary of which is artifact creation.

Artifact creation is the forging of tools, realms, structures or minions.

Tools are the weapons gods use to defend or attack. You may spend 2 Ren for every +1 bonus for either a defensive or offensive weapon, while a mixed weapon costs 3 Ren for the same +1 bonus.

Realms are the structures gods create to reside in; they provide a +1 defensive bonus for every 4 Ren spent on them and may contain mortals.

Minions are the celestial beings that gods mold into shape with their Ren they may do everything a god can except create due to their lack of domains. Their Ren is equivalent to the amount spent on them.

Structures are the buildings within a realm they do not contribute to the realms total strength or defensive bonus, but may have other uses. There are two types of wards and temples. Wards weaken the attacks of those specified within a realm while temples strengthen the attacks or defense of those who contributed to it within a realm.

Mortals are lesser beings they are naturally inclined to worship whoever created them, but they can be influenced by all. They may be unable to exert much influence over creation, but their numbers naturally go up. In order for mortals to survive they need to be within a realm.

Universal creation is the attempt to influence the very fabric of the universe. This type of creation is powerful yet extremely strenuous and thus to see any tangible effects at least 20 Ren is needed
------------
Combat:

Despite their inherent deposition to creation a god may participate in the antithesis to the order that brought them about and fight in glorious combat. In order to fight another god a god must specify who they're attacking. Then if no parties wish to flee the attacking god will roll 1d6 + any of their combat bonuses. In order to defend the opposing god will do the same. Any god may flee from combat after a round of combat or when attacked. A god may also spend Ren directly to increase their bonuse in a round of combat.

Gods may attack a specific divine being or creation 2 times per turn, and may continue attacking an unlimited amount of times. A god may defend an unlimited amount of times and flee once per turn. Once successfully fled, a god may not be attacked by any specific god. A god may only flee if they're being attacked.

>Jor, awake in the bright and shining universe of his afterbirth looks upon the expanse and sees nothing but the flickering possibilities of what may be.

So he spends an action to call out to those gods of this formless waste. To Ace and to The shadow, to Constantia and to Quelon, to Oceanus and Eremog and Enlil he calls, saying
"If we all wrench and pull, then could reality not be interwoven, something new made that we could so swiftly improve? Make it as according to us all, yet unbreakable to any who are not bound in accord as we are? A canvas of our desires which none may sunder."

>And to the Shade of Apothis and Ryndrinil and Monkie and Ravenous he says
"And would our canvas not be improved by A rule of life? That all which is born shall be reborn anew, so no matter what wipes them away, they are always to return and feed into yourselves?"

[So basically, spend 1 or 2 turns trying to convince everyone to pool their Ren to make a world-space which nobody can undo, and have some others forge reality into an auto rebirth system so that any mortals we make don't have their numbers decrease permenantly.
Should people agree, I'm going to put my Ren up to make it happen. All in!

If nobody agrees. . eh, I'll figure it out]

I hear your call and your idea and I can say that I see a worthy endevour in it. I think we can combine our realm and the system of eternity into a singular architecture to save our energy. I propose to create a sphere, one from where mater and energy shall not be able to escape, only to be reformed again and again, a sphere which we could divide furthere if we need to, a Theosphere.
Should others be willing in both spirit and ren, then I offer to build its outershell, so it may serve as the basis of further creations.

>Alcmo awakens in a strange place with an ungodly headache. After wandering around the empty fields for a while, boredom eventually overcomes his curiosity, and so he decides to create some new playthings so as to amuse himself for a while.
Alcmo creates a new race of mortals, short long eared creatures that come in a variety of colors, but are almost always shrewd and slightly cowardly by nature, known as goblins. He gives them only one commandment, and that is to go forth and spread the wisdom of gambling and chance. After teaching them all the tricks he's learned when it comes to dice, cards, bets and trickery, they set off into the new world, with a few remaining with him so that their God shall never grow bored again. And of course, it goes without saying that each and every one of these goblins are in his debt for the great effort it took to pull them from the void.

>Remembering his favorite game from his mortal life, Alcmo decides to forge an artifact using 2 Ren, a defensive tool that is most useful when lazing about.
Alcmo creates an enchanted deck of playing cards that will almost always go in the favor of their owner when used for gambling. They also seem to have a mind of their own, becoming very sharp and durable when their owner is threatened, and coming to his defense to block and counter any attack.

>Hearing Jor's proclamation, Alcmo approaches and says
"I'll throw in the rest of my Ren for this great work of yours, but only if you agree to be within my debt, and to owe me one favor that must be honored once I call upon you. Deal?"

>Shong creates a realm. A vast desert where the sun beats down heavy and hot eternally. He calls his realm SAND because sand is perfect and his realm is perfect.

Shong is displeased by the formless chaos all around him. He cannot feel comfortable in such a place. He needs SAND. He needs to feel the little kernels tickling his feet, to feel the hot sun above him, to feel the ultimate TRUTH. The truth is that Shong is but a small kernel of sand, a sand with an impossibly small amount of power in the grand scheme of the universe.

And so Shong puts his impossibly small power to use. He gives shape to chaos of the universe and creates a kernel of sand, and another, and another, and another, and another. He crafts each kernel of sand personally and meticulously. Soon enough an ocean of sand is created...

And Shong is happy.

He takes the form of a kernel of sand and dwells within the ocean, within the desert. Within perfection.

>Jor frowns, before replying in turn, as the knowledge of what a 'debt' is becomes known.

But you benefit too from this great work, for this space and universe is nothing but us, and this work would be a place where any and many would be able to make and create and improve and live without dying terribly.
And already you have tried to lose half of your Ren, while I am putting three times as much in.

And since there are no realms yet, I don't think you can make your cute goblins yet.

So why do you not throw in your Ren anyway, and benefit from this great work? Is it not fair to do so when you would already get more from it than you put in, all while owing other embodiments nothing?

>>5213000
If such a thing is possible, then that cuts down the required energy by half! But the support of others would still yield double the benefits.

>Create defensive weapon for 2 Ren
For the first time, the meditations of Oceanus were disturbed. The whispers of the rain, murmur of the rivers and singing of the currents were eclipsed by the thoughts and wills of new, louder voices... other gods. It was a cacophony of different personalities and ego's, all probing and moulding the very world around them. Nothing like the gentle song of the waves, or the calming flutter of the clouds.
They felt peeved by this development, but knew better then to be rash. If they were to preserve the Water over which they reigned, they would have to survive and endure, no matter what the others tried.
To that end, they set to mind to crafting a tool of their own use, a barrier to keep them from harm. It was the will of the waves made manifest, a perfect sphere of water around the formless avatar of Oceanus. Any blow would be met by a precise surge of water, deflecting and repelling any attempts to harm them.
>Create Realm for 4 Ren
Though after completing his work, Oceanus couldn't help but feel that they were being rash.
Surely the others wanted peace and quiet as well as them? Maybe Oceanus was disturbing the others as much as they disturbed Oceanus.
With this sudden uncertainty occupying their thoughts, Oceanus decided to create quiet retreat, so that they could meditate in peace without disturbing others, or others disturbing them.
The realm the crafted took the form of a large, seemingly endless expanse of water. The skies above were dominated by massive rain clouds, and a gentle but insistent rain fell on the ocean below ceaselessly. Here, Oceanus took seat in the exact center of the realm, and began to meditate. Yes, it was much quieter in here.
And so, they contemplated in peace once more, though they could not help but listen to the chatter of the outside world with one ear, attentive to any threat to their realm and domain.

Constantia beheld the expanse, her judgmental gaze cold and unfeeling. Despite this, her heart harbored an emotion which a mortal might refer to as 'dismay.' Reality was not as it should be. That can change. The power of the goddess was not to create from nothing. Rather, hers was the ability to enforce that which is. If only...

>>5212981
Silently evaluating the worthiness of his endeavor, she approaches Jor and those who join him, nodding sagely. If the others could come to an accord and create a shared world-space, her precept would grant it stability, making it both constant and immutable in nature. In a steady, measured tone, she utters a single word.

"Approved."

"Be thankful I consider this task worthy of my time."

>>
>Alcmo awakens in the void, still feeling giddy from his game with Death.
Eventually though, the high wears off and boredom once again sets in. Deciding that this empty space could use a little livening up he, sets about the task.

>Alcmo spends 4 Ren and builds a realm.
His realm takes the shape of a gigantic building, the walls gilded in gold and silver. Within are hundreds of halls and rooms, with many dedicated to a different game of chance and form of gambling each. A few of the rooms are for more... Base pleasures, filled with alcohol and drugs that can even get a God intoxicated! A few rooms remain empty, as without mortals or servants to fill them with to exchange flesh for money or favors, they lack purpose. Once the building has been finished, Alcmo nails a sign that stretches all across the front of the massive building, with the words "Alcmo's House of Pleasure" lit up with shining lights.

>With his home finished, Alcmo sends a message to all the other glorious minds shining within the void, proclaiming the glory of his den of iniquity, and that the first visit is free and that conflict of any kind is banned, making it a safe place for any to meet within.

Completely spent, Alcmo retreats within his home to drink fine wine and play solitaire until patrons or marks enter his den of iniquity.

Maybe I should have read other posts before posting my giant fuckoff wall of text huh
Also I gotta say I have no clue how the rules really work here, apart from what was explicitly explained. From the other posts I can tell a similar quest was ran before but I haven't seen it. Do we regenerate Ren after a turn has passed or something? Can I help making a realm after I already made one? I just spend all 6 of my Ren, am I technically not a god anymore? I am going to keep going until someone points I did something stupid.
Oceanus hears the voice of another call out to him, asking for... collaboration?
His first instinct was to reject it, for they have no interest in anything but the Deep Blue... but any realm to be created would be a sad thing without water. It wouldn't be right to just ignore such a sad state of affairs.
Besides, getting to know the other might bring some much needed peace of mind in these turbulent times.
Their mind was made up.

From what I remember of my experience of the previous quest, you gained 2 or so Ren/Essence every turn. You could create an artifact with enough essence that passively gains you more or you could fight and eat gods for more essence.

Not sure how much of that carries over, though.

Since we have many gods willing, I shall share the plan I thought of for the Theosphere.
It's purpose is to be an indistructible and deathless realm, so I have the following ideas:
First and foremost, its shell shall be less like a shell and more like a baloon, so that it may not be broken and instead it will strech and reform should force be applied to it.
Secondly, I propose to formalize the building blocks of creation, by filling the Theosphere with a new substance, ether, which shall keep the "shell" from deflating and it may be used to form complexe structures.
Any comments, suggestions or complains?
>>
>>5213074
>Alcmo feels a new soul enter his House, and immediately rushes to welcome them.
"Welcome to my House of Pleasure Koypi, I have many amusements for you to enjoy at your leisure. Perhaps a drag off the hookah, or a game of blackjack? While we are a bit... Short staffed at the moment, I would be more than willing to assist you personally in finding your particular vice."

Your sand is impressive, and with your works you have done much to create that which can become much else. But would you not enjoy a place where your sand is safe? Lend what little power you can muster, and a land where the deserts may never be scattered can exist.

Deathless Quelon? Death is a means of testing, of improvement. Permenant erasure is what we wish to avoid. So while the realm itself is invulnerable against anything but the most potent work of many gods, why do we not let the walls of the Theosphere or this ether hold the memory or soul of what was contained.

Dead things can be reborn as new things, broken rocks can be formed into new mountains. And all is done according to exact procedures, order is maintained.
There is no reason to exclude the concept of death from our focus.
>>
>>5213062
>Do we regenerate Ren after a turn has passed or something?
Every turn you regenerate a specified amount of Ren.
>Can I help making a realm after I already made one?
A god may have an unlimited amount of artifacts and any artifact they help to make is party theirs. Note no artifact except minions are directly tied to a god they may be taken if no god currently is in possession of them.
>I just spend all 6 of my Ren, am I technically not a god anymore?
As long as you have a domain you are technically a god. Once you hit 0 Ren you're unable to create, but can still perform combat and flee. If you hit the negatives you can't do anything and you're as good as a corpse until you somehow manage to get a positive balance of Ren.

Ravenous seeks out to sense the desires of the other beings. Their wants are delicious and inspire Ravenous to work ever harder to feed himself.

>Create 2 (+1/+1) artifacts with 6 Ren.

Ravenous chooses the finest of material to fashion stronger teeth for his gluttonous mouth and creates a brace to reinforce his mandible that bites his foes.

After doing this, Ravenous finds hunger taking over himself as he chases after the silent winged being flying through the skies of creation, and attempts to bite the wings of the flying being.

Constantia's says nothing, listening in on the discussion with an odd expression that sits somewhere between glacial indifference and genuine confusion. Put plainly, the Goddess of Order simply lacked the creativity to imagine a totally original concept such as this 'Theosphere.' Instead, she will commit what is said to memory to guarantee that the parameters of the soon-to-be established Theosphere will be maintained.

From the darkness of space Yrsiil would awake from his slumber, pulling his shifting aquatic form through the black of space as if it were the abyssal waters he had dreamt of. His horrific body was ever reaching comprised of mangled shells and chitin, heads of prawn and bones of fish jolted from his flesh, his Crustacean limbs clawing through the endless space.

Nothingness was comfort, but nowhere close to the endless dark he yearned for

>Spend 4 Ren to create a Realm, The Deep

From the nothing Yrsiil conjured The Deep Sea, far below all god's creations, far below space, at the tangible bottom of observable creation lied an ever reaching ocean. An infinitely deep ocean melding almost perfectly with space.

Within the darkness Yrsiil would dwell, swimming throughout the Deep chittering and croaking to himself.

(Shit was wild, I only had green cards at the end kek)
Koypi despite having lost did not show any signs of discontent since it was a rather fun game of highs and lows. They wagered an artifact and Koypi is not a sore loser, but what should she give?
After a second of thought, Koypi levitated and swirled around before a small light appeared before them both as a pendant of the coveted +4 Uno Card is created.

>Spend 2 ren on a +1 defensive artifact and given to Alcmo

And with that Koypi asks for a drink, something fruity would be preferred.
>>
>>5213096
Yes, I should have specified earlier.

>A sense of unease is felt within all the gods while the flicker of creation burns bright some judgment tells them it may not stay that way for long. If there is such a thing as creation what about destruction, are the gods doomed to fall as the light that brought them fourth? Nay if thy flesh is made of Ren surely the flesh of others could prove to suffice.

If a god hits the negatives any god may render their corpse, if they are unopposed. Consuming the flesh of a god gives you 6 ren and destroying a domain gives you 4. Any artifacts in their possession may be kept or destroyed for half the Ren put into them.
>>
>>5213159
To clarify on domains they may be seized and corrupted to fit the god that captured them or they can simply be destroyed. Every domain destroyed gives you 4 Ren and an additional +2 cap on Ren.
>>
>>5213144

Guess who's back?

>Name: Larillam
>Domains: Slavery and Stature.
>Ren: 4/4
>Background: Among other gods and goddesses, one stands taller above them all, partially due to their domain. Yet, they do not seek power for themselves, after all, most gods are equal in the hierarchy. Larillam is a goddess of Hierarchy, of Slavery, of structures and of power. A goddess of order though indirectly. They seek to ensure that the old order remains no matter how many years pass, no matter the machinations of other gods seeking to end either that order or all of creation. After all, those gods, who lack the mental capacities to understand their place in this world are fools below the other dieties who will lead to naught but their own suicide. Nothing more, nothing less.
>>
Yrsiil swims through the deep, the collosal creature darting through his infinite waters. He contorts in the dark focusing his attention towards "communicating" a vile practice but a necessary one in this world of new gods. Yrsill begins to hiss and croak, thousands of murmurs coming from his form attempting to emulate any tongue to speak.

>>5213093
Jor would hear the murmurings of Yrsill calling from the deep.

"You. The one above, speaker to the many above ones. You speak to Yrsill. Yrsill looks upon your work in interest. Perhaps the deep could be an ally to you should it be willed, yes?"
>>
>>5213159
And finally, a god may hold half their Ren cap in Ren, but if not used this excess Ren will dissipate at the start of the next turn.
>>
Apothis sits alone in darkness, puffing upon his sacred pipe, imbibing from his sacred gourd. Beside him is a satchel, empty of fruit now. His face is gaunt. His scales, once effervescent, are now stained q ruddy brown with ash and blood. He was once joyful, a cool older brother. Now, he is all but without siblings, or friends. Without his party-loving acolytes and celebrants, his gambling buddies, his fellow-travelers...

>>5212805
Well, maybe not completely without them, it seems.

"Hey, fish-bro! Or... Fish sis? You were, like, a chick this whole time? Woah. Huh."

>>5212981
Maybe not without fellow travelers, either... But then again, maybe.

"Sorry, dude. It's just... Too soon, ya' know? I'll help with the 'everyone doesn't just die immediately and forever' bit, though. That was, like... A total bummer."

>>5212962
>Invest 2 Ren in the creation of a realm
Apothis' old hangout, The Fruit Grove, was no more. Attempting to recreate it, it STILL was no more -- it came back bleak, blackened, WRONG. The trees did not flower, their fruits were warped, their intoxicating sap pre-fermented almost to spoiling.

"Aw, shit... Must be rusty."

<CREATED: The Grove of the Dead>

>Invest 1 Ren in creating a race of minions
Seeking to fix this erroneous construct, and to inject a bit of the old vibrancy into his realm, Apothis gathered from his mostly-empty satchel the burnt fragments of bone which were all that remained of his acolytes: the Khaons, first mortals of a previous creation. Though he had no hand i birthing them, they'd always been curiously alike him in form: reptilian, humanoid. In attitude, they had been more ambitious, competitive, savage, and chaotic...

"Fun for a game of beer pong, though. And those guys loooved to garden, huh?"

Now, they are but shades of their former selves, like the God who rebirthed them: skeletal, voiceless, without death but also without life. The Khaons will drink with their stepfather, tend to his garden... And await the souls of the dead.

That all kosher, QM?
>>
>>5213071
This game will function similarly to that previous quest. I will not inform you how you will gain Ren when the flicker dims, but I'll give you a single word for a hint. Mortals.

Many shots down and Koypi started to think she was hearing voices of the long-dead Apothis, only to realize oh shit that's real. Ignoring his comment Koypi set out to find him but not before leaving a generous tip at the bar, mostly jewellery and gold to fill the prize booth if anybody manages to win the games. Soon she arrives at the mockery of the old garden. Could be better, maybe a bit of renovating but she knocks on the vines to alert him.

>>5213079
Sorry, but no taking back actions. You may put conditions on them, but those won't be seen as taken unless the conditions are fulfilled, and as soon as they are they will be taken. He sends a missive: he always did like a good betting pool to keep conversation flowing alongside the drinks. He offers a most holy elixir -- wine -- in great abundance, in exchange to come and of from the House of Pleasure as he pleases.

>Negotiations opened

>>5213240
That little slice of hedonistic paradise isn't all that Apothis' dim, dead eyes alight upon, though. With a weary sigh, he sees a pattern repeated: a god of oppression, attacking a god of unsettling appetite.

Combat progression: A round of combat is a series of fights involving x amounts of participants. The round will be recorded after the first roll to be rolled for that round. All actions before the roll will be counted within that round if they involve any of the participants in that roll and every action 1 hour after it if they involve one of the participants and I haven't updated beforehand. I will give a 2 hour grace period after the first roll is rolled for other players to roll. If they don't roll within that time period I'll roll for them.

Note I'm willing to take suggestions on the number of hours for grace periods as I'm still coming up with the system.

Name: Ur-Vinculum

More than one of his brothers were feasted on for that mistake, some of them by Vinculum himself.

Perhaps you could help with the creation of ether? You could move your realm inside the Theosphere and unfold it so that the water fills all, after which we could brake down the water into its base components which we could modify to be simpler and more versatile.
>>
>>5213489
If that is an option, then sure, count me in.
I have no clue if moving a realm is possible but bottom line is the Theosphere has yet to be created, so it could be made around my realm. That should work, right?

Ur-Vinculum innocently moseys his way into the new fruit garden after spying it, doing the divine equivalent of whistling as he wordlessly settles into place.

2 Ren: Begin creating a mortal race, yet to be named or released

Concept

Something vague takes shape as the bloodless Ur-Vinculum expresses his majesty.
Unformed souls swirl about in a bubble of possibility, all inextricably bound to one-another in ways they may one day begin to comprehend, but for now all that exists is the barest impression of them.

(I’m going to be creating this race piece by piece over a bunch of turns, or at least I plan to)

Ren: 4/6

I am waiting to respond to you after responding to Enlil since they created an artefact not listed in the rules and added Ren after their post. And if movement stat is meant to be added to the rules, if mixed artefacts effect this sat.
>>
>>5213596
You will roll an opposing chase attempt which will be 1d6+ your attack bonus.

You also need to defend or flee against Crigoniloc.
>>
>>5213673

Is there clarification about the movement stat or are we not supposed to know the rules ?
>>
>>5213675
Movement wasn't orginally intended to have bonuses, but as an artifact for it allows for interesting specialization and high risk reward high reward gameplay, I'll allow it.
>>
>>5213682

So you can use 1 Ren to make a +1 movement artefact ?
While attack and defense cost 2 Ren for a +1 or 3 Ren for the mixed ?

And does mixed effect movement ?
>>
>>5213683
I didn't look At how much Ren he spent. It would be only be a 1 movement bonus for his spending of 2 Ren just like other 1 stat bonus artifacts. Mixed doesn't effect movement and you can't have an artifact with movement and any other stat.
>>
>>5213696
Quick question man, what are the intervals for our turns being resolved and the next cycle of ren coming in/going out ect?
>>

>>5213596
Yes, gods may attack a specific god once per round and defend against an endless amount, so you still need to do combat against him. I've decided that to streamline combat you can't flee and attack within the same round, so roll 1d6+ your attack bonus to defend against him.

>>5212962

Does "sharing" include the domain.

If it does, I am challenging her.
If the body is separate kf the domain, they can have it. 6 ren is lot, but it's worth the price of destroying this monster concept.

>>
>>5213865
I'm not willing to fight over a single domain, no. I am willing to spare him the domain for the 6 Ren.

>>
>>5213873
No respect for a dead god's last will, gods these days.
>>
>>5213867
>>5213874
Only one of you may capture the domain, but you could destroy it and choose to share the Ren. The corpse's Ren may also be split between you if you so choose. It's up to you two to decide how to share it and if you will fight.
>>
>>5213878
Hey, a mans gotta eat. And I'm also hoping to split your corpse with Yrsii while offering an alliance to it, but I have to wait for the player to return before I can make the offer.

My mission, bright light is to improve and make all better. This hunger threatened the mission and thus must be utterly eradicated.

Tyrant also has a funny look to it. But improvement is my domain, and for that I am most fortunate.

>>5213874
(I think so. You have 2 domains, and eating a god corpse gives you 6. So you would have 8 for eating it.
I personally suggest NOT eating it this round. Make eating it your first action next round so you have a total of 8 to use, then use it before you lose it.)

>>5213879
(Sweet. The plan remains the same, Jor get the domain to break it and keep the 4 ren from that.
The remaining 6 goes to bright god, as payment for the inconvenience.)

Whether this turn or not, I can still burn most of it to create what I want, unless the QM says otherwise.)

"This is mine now. I own it. It is now great because of it. Pleasure doing business with you."

Constantia makes her move. The Goddess of Order did not lust for power, though she was pragmatic enough to understand the dangers of the reality in which she now existed. She intends to seize the tool of the Tyrant-Now-Deposed as her own. Their precepts were not so different, and it would be useful if she ever needed to defend herself.

The other gods can keep the corpse - she had no interest in glutting herself when there was still work to be done.
>>
>>5213898
>Seeing the approach of Constantia, Alcmo approaches her in turn
"I don't think I've had the pleasure, but I can guess why you're here. I'd be more than willing to let you have the artifact if you would agree to assist me in taking the corpse itself, and possibly defending myself against the Deep God if it comes to it. In return I would owe you a favor, which I might add could blossom into a glorious friendship. What do you say?"

She appraises Alcmo's offer in total silence, her frigid features and neutral expression making her thoughts difficult to gauge. Up until this moment, she was unaware of the concept of 'friendship' - and though she now understood its strict definition, the truth continued to elude her. Such an arrangement was illogical. Moreover, was such a thing even possible? She felt no affection. How could she maintain a bond built on a shared feeling that she did not possess?

A 'favor' on the other hand... yes, this is rational. It was unconventional, but there was a calculus behind it that she could measure. She speaks with a steady, monotone inflection. "Approved. I, Constantia, shall hereby render aid unto the divine Alcimo, on the condition that I may demand assistance of a similar magnitude at a later point in time."

Then, if there are no problems:
>Quelon breaths in the Ren of all gods and goddesses and moves near the sea god's realm. There, under the gaze of all, his form is broken. A whirlewind of forms and colours pours out, combines, divides and recombines as threads of creation stretch into nothingness and unite with one another. Where once there was just a tiny blue sparck, perfect sphere remains as the threads dissipate and the new membrane coagulates. The creator god beggins to cloth himself again and, as he eyes his creation, he adresses all those whom through their Ren they could call this their home:
>Rejoice, he says, for there is still work to be done.
>>
>>5213981
What exactly is your plan again?
>>
>>5213982
Step 1 of >>5213902
Basically, create an elastic, inbreakable sphere that could hold matter, energy and souls within it and have them be unable to be erased, only transformed. A semi-enclosed system where things could be added, but not removed.
>>
>>5213982
It is to shift realities fabric using half a dozen gods to forge a super realm, one which can never be destroyed and where the mortals which we put in there will have their souls reincarnated.

Create a space where change is possible but never destruction.
It is going to be "the main world" of the stable universe, which no god can fuck up on a whim.
See attached explanations here >>5213902 and here >>5213083>>5213475
>>
>>5213814
(Pretty sure you need to pay Ren to make that actually work)
>>
>>5213988
>>5213990
Having something be indestructible is going to cost a lot more Ren than you have available, but 20 is enough for a minor alteration to how the universe works like having souls be reincarnated in a specific realm. You have 24 Ren available for this plan. You could
reinforce Oceanus's realm and make it bigger and have the reincarnation effect for lost Ren.
Here's the general outline on spending Ren

>1 Ren is enough to raise or raze a city such as Sodom. 10 Ren is enough to forge an artifact blade that knows no rival that was not made by the hands of the Gods. 20 Ren is enough to alter the fabric of the universe. 100 Ren is to throttle the heavens and reshape creation in your image, if uncontested. In broad terminology, a one-time use of Essence for an effect is a miracle, while investing Essence into a permanent creation is an artifact. You can and are encouraged to get creative with its use. If you want to spend Essence on something and aren’t sure how much to invest to get your desired result, it costs nothing to ask and receive an estimated price total.

Basically, you want Ren or their life force to be unable to be destroyed. No Ren would be lost in this realm meaning any divine creation destroyed would yield its full worth in essence. I volunteer my realm to be used as the base for the shared realm.
All who contributed are welcome to treat is as their own, and do as they wish within.

Just... don't put anything weird in the water.
That is not up for debate.
>>
>>5214035
As long as he allows it you can shape the realm however you please. Once other gods have invested into a realm it becomes shared and they don't need permission to change it, but you could contest their changes by spending Ren.

“Dudes? Ah another one from the old world has appeared. Also yes, let there be peace here for now.”
Koypi would by now have cleaned up her little pond and has promptly made herself at home.
“Soooo, hear about the others attempting to make some type of large realm? Thoughts?”
>>
>>5214035
It could also be a gigantic continent floating in the middle of the realm?
My paint skills are not great enough to demonstrate, but I hope the collective imagination of everyone present is enough to picture what I mean.

I'm going to break character for a moment here. As roughly 20 Ren was contributed to the singular Theoshpere realm by what seems to be a coalition of like-minded gods, does does this mean that the gods who chose to invest will all benefit the defensive bonus?

>>5213974
>>5214032
Unexpectedly, Constantia seemed to understand the God of the Deep quite well. Her alien intelligence did not understand 'good' or 'bad' as others might - there was Order, and Disorder. So long as the god of the dark depths had created a place to belong and posed no threat to creation. Who were the other gods to encroach upon it? She addresses them. "I shall be your advocate. Let us divide our spoils as agreed and part amicably."

(This is assuming I have the Ren from the corpse now, disregard if I don't.)

>After a well deserved, in her eyes, harvest...she decides she needs to show her greatness, her light, across the world. And there's no better place to start than a realm of her own. Taking the foul essence of the hungry god, she uses it to quickly form a blinding light towering into the sky itself.

>Soon, the light dims and solidifies into a new, solid form. A spiraling tower that reaches as high as it could possibly go in this world, so high you can hardly even see the top of it. A manifestation of the god's hubris.

>Spending 4 Ren to create the Starlight Tower.

>And what better place to put her creations than inside of her own realm? Calling upon the domains of the shade, she uses her temporary access to them to create a race befitting of her own hubris. Stars, like herself, though far smaller and far less bright than she could ever be.

>With the assistance of a borrowed Domain (mechanically, I would assume this is just Apothis helping me out partially with the race), she grants them the ability of Undeath. Neither quite alive nor dead as sentient stars, a byproduct of which is an unnaturally long lifespan compared to other mortals. With this feat and the Pride that seeps into them through the gods whims, they are truly their goddess' children. They deem themselves the only ones worthy to judge other races and their worth.

>That's mostly the Pride talking, of course.

>Spending another 3 Ren to make the Judgements. Leaving me with 1 Ren.

No sooner have the gods been brought into the world than they have seen their brothers and sisters fall. The corpses of Crigonlic and Ravenous are still fresh when the surrounding gods begin to bicker amongst themselves on their cannibalistic meal. The decision is made as the corpses begin to produce a foul miasma. Yrsiil will get his kill, Constantia the battered shell of the tyrant god, Jor the domain of Ravenous, and Ace his kill. >Destroy the domain of space for 4 essence and +2 to the cap, Take the domain of Tyranny

Within the depths of the infinite black sea lying far below the god's creations thrashed Yrsiil with a ravenous fervour, the mutilated corpse of the tyrant god lodged within his maw being shaken throughout the water by the Colossal god of the deep. Gargantuan teeth tore through the gaseous form of the dead god of space, the gas and flickers of divine light faintly signaling throughout the black. The last signs of life from the dead god.

As much as he admired the abyssal cosmos, the primordial place of his birth and the cradle of his slumber before life began, Yrsill unhinged his jaw and devoured the domain of space the millions of prawns within him disecting the godly power. Yrsill dreams before his awakening promised him a future where the Deep sea would devour space, replacing one infinite airless void for another.

Seeking elimination instead of synergy Yrsiil destroys the domain of Space as we know it.

He would hold on to the domain of tyranny, in a twisted desire to emulate the gods above and become a ruler of his own dominion. Shedding his demeanour as a monster and becoming a lord, the rightful ruler, the dark TYRANT of the sea

Waiting while materializing into a new existence he wondered about his past that may or may not existed. Then he materialised with all his sickly parasite ridden moth glory, spreding his large tattered wings he started flying towards creation.

As Yrsiil tore through the flesh of tyrant god he choose to devour rather than keep the domain of space. As the sphere was punctured the ichor within poured out. The droplets scattered on his tongue and tasted sweeter than the finest of wines. The sky flickered for a moment as the domain of space as we know it became absent. What this meant for the world was yet uncertain.

>The domain of space is destroyed Yrsiil receives 4 Ren and +2 to their Ren cap.

The first monster of the deep seas Yrsiil's grasped for the next domain of the gas god. The sweet nectar inside consumed all of his thoughts. But as he brought the shell to his jagged maw he had a revelation. He was not a mere beast, but the lord of the deep. If he was to show that he was more than a mere creature, but the rightful ruler of the sea he would need to become a lord. Rather than crack open the tyrant's domain he swallowed it whole allowing it to become a part of himself.

Hello. Order would be me.

The god of the seas, Oceanus wary of the meddling of other gods, and the destructive future that he might behold created a mighty artifact. Despite its lack of a name its power speaks for itself. A whirling typhoon of water that is sure to weaken any blow from those who are foolish enough to slight him.

In order to find a recluse from the machinations of other gods, he harnessed his Ren to mold forth a realm of pure water. Its somber rainfall and gentle waves proved to provide an escape from the cosmic horrors that unfolded just above its surface.
-
The god of sand Shong created kernel after kernel of sand in order to feel at home in this chaotic universe. When he is finished a mountain of sand sat floating in the vacuums of space. A strange sight, yet stranger when he sank into it becoming one with his creation.
-
Thyp'ptyklpt, the keeper of knowledge put forth to himself his very first task. In order to expand his libraries, he decided in his wisdom that he would need the help of others. To this end, he created a number of minions known as the scribes of Thyp to help gather knowledge about the universe. For knowledge is power.

This knowledge would need a place to be stored and so he molded a vast library out of his godly essence. Its endless expanse of shelves and books proving to be adequate for his goals.
-
Apothis, the lord of the undead attempted to regain a fragment of his past life through the creation of a grove. A realm of rotting fruits and dead plants.

He breathed life into a number of the skeletons he held creating a new mortal race. The Khaons deathless skeletal reptiles animated with ren yet unable to speak. Loyal to their new god they will tend his garden until their bones turn to dust.
-
Eremog, The God of flames and the art of crafting shapes from pure Ren his masterwork a hammer known as Gridelmeir first of its kind in existence.

Eremog puts his tool to use in the creation of a realm to do his crafting in. A planet of molten rock and volcanoes is created filled with enough lava to forge a billion swords. At the center stands his forge where he will craft the mightiest of tools.
-
The empty void disgusts Monkie he longs for a home he has never known yet desperately needs. To this end, he creates a planet of mighty jungles filled with apes he can lord over.
-

>>5215227
Yearning for darkness Yrsiil crafted a realm in the depths of the void. Near impossible to see where it ends and the void begins this pitch-black realm holds a deep ocean.
-
No sooner have the gods been birthed than has a conflict of epic proportions ensued between them. The god of hunger attempted to gain the upper hand through the forging of twin blades equal in both defense and offense. He managed successfully to corner the god of the hunt, but as he was about to consume him the god of gas came up from behind and skewed him with his stone war mech. This triumphant victory didn’t last long though as that god was in turn crushed by the god of the deep. When the dust had settled both Ravenous and Crigoniloc were dead leaving the remaining gods to bicker over the flesh and ichor of their fallen brethren.
-
Yrsiil swam into the deep abyss of the void with the body of Crigonlioc, but left the war mech to Constantia as a show of goodwill to the gods of the above. After consuming the corpse of Crigonlioc the monster of the deep took on the appearance of a more lord-like creature and his power grew immensely.
-
Ace split the remains of the god of hunger with the god Jor. Ace consuming the flesh of the endless hunger while Jor destroyed his domain. The concept of hunger is gone from the universe, but a different desire one for power seems to have taken hold.
-
As no one contested Ace’s claim on the devour’s artifacts she took them as her own. Daring to match her actions with her hubris she built a magnificent tower within the middle of the void shining light down upon all who gazed into the abyss. She then shaped her remaining ren into a race of star-people whose pride was only eclipsed by their god.
-
Alcmo still chasing high off his victory against death went about building a massive casino in the void. He invited all gods to enjoy in the debauchery that he has to offer. After welcoming his first guest the god Koypi, he won the very first game in the universe and received an artifact from Koypi as a reward.
-
Seeing the devastation that war has brought upon the universe Quelon petitioned the rest of the gods to help him make a realm that would provide safety to all. Using Oceanus’s realm as a base they created the Theosphere a 25 Ren realm with the ability to reuse Ren lost inside of it.

>Actual Mechanics:
>Each God possesses an amount of Ren. This is the power of the spark of creation. It has limitless versatility and can be used for almost anything, even things outside of a God’s sphere. Actions which don’t fall under a God’s sphere are more expensive and if challenging a God within their own sphere, a God without it will always be at a disadvantage. Such as a God of Wind attempting to create a blaze to match that of a God of Fire.
In broad terminology, a one-time use of Ren for an effect is a miracle, while investing Reb into a permanent creation is an artifact. You can and are encouraged to get creative with its use. If you want to spend Ren on something and aren’t sure how much to invest to get your desired result, it costs nothing to ask and receive an estimated price total.
>Ren is divided into a Ren pool and an Ren cap. The Ren pool is the amount of Ren a God currently has, and an Essence cap is how much Ren a God can reliably store. If a God’s Ren income exceeds their cap, that God has a 1/10 chance to increase their Essence cap by 1 for each turn and for each point the Ren income exceeds their cap. In the beginning, each God has a Ren income of +2 per turn. This will be reduced to +1 after 3 turns, and will be reduced to +0 after 5 turns. Finding an alternative source of long-term power is of paramount importance but in the immediate term, other things may demand your focus.

Ren is simultaneously the power of a God and their life (or death) force. Reducing yourself to 0 Ren is not directly fatal but it does leave you vulnerable. This vulnerability can be mitigated by the protections of other Gods, defensive artifacts, and hiding and hoping you get lucky. If two or more Gods come into conflict, the battle is resolved by an opposed roll of 1d10+X, X being the amount of Ren each God has spent. The number that a God’s roll exceeds their opponent’s is the amount of Ren the losing God has lost. This is not gained by the winning God, it is lost, and if it drops below 0 that God is weakened, either crippled or comatose, and can be killed without contest.

>If a God wants to protect a crippled or comatose God, they may attempt to do so if they’re willing to deal with the potential consequences of challenging the God or Gods responsible. If the God responsible simply wants to escape with the corpse before they are caught if chased, it works as combat but a fatality cannot result directly and they receive a +4 to represent their headstart.
>If a God consumes the corpse of a God, which can be fluffed in any way they like to, the God immediately receives a refill of +6 Ren or 1/2 of the slain’s Ren pool rounded down whichever is higher. In addition, they receive the option of partially absorbing the slain God’s spheres, with a selection of three closely-related spheres tailored to the consuming God and their interests. If none of the three are liked, the God can spend 2 Ren to choose their own and if it’s related to the sphere, or the sphere as is if desired, it will be theirs. If the God does not want a sphere, they can destroy it to receive +2 to their Ren cap and an immediate 4 Ren independent of their cap. This can exceed an Ren cap but while unspent, an Ren cap cannot increase from an Ren income. If a sphere is destroyed for this, it cannot be regained from that God in any way, it is lost to creation, though a similar sphere may arise.

Guidelines for playing:
—--------------------------------------------------------
Each god may do 3 things within a turn including attacking, defending, fleeing, and creating.
—--------------------------------------------------
Creation: Out of the chaos of primordial nothingness a god may harness the Ren they currently hold and use it to shape the universe. There are three main types of creation: artifact, mortal, and universal. The primary of which is artifact creation.

Artifact creation is the forging of tools, realms, structures, or minions.

Structures are the buildings within a realm they do not contribute to the realm's total strength or defensive bonus but may have other uses.

In order for mortals to survive, they need to be within a realm.

Universal creation is the attempt to influence the very fabric of the universe. This type of creation is powerful yet extremely strenuous and thus to see any tangible effects at least 20 Ren is needed.

Finally, you may spend Ren to do things outside of these main types, but they are up to QM interpretation.

Combat:

Despite their inherent deposition to create a god may participate in the antithesis to the order that brought them about and fight in glorious combat. In order to fight another god, a god must specify who they're attacking. Then if no parties wish to flee the attacking god will roll 1d6 + any of their combat bonuses. In order to defend the opposing god will do the same. Any god may flee from combat after a round of combat or when attacked if they haven't fled that turn.

Gods may attack a specific divine being or creation 2 times per turn, and may continue attacking an unlimited amount of times. A god may defend an unlimited amount of times and flee once per turn. Once successfully fled, a god may not be attacked by any specific god. A god may only flee if they're being attacked or have killed a god in the last round. A god may not flee if they have attacked that round.

An attacked God must decide to flee or fight at the beginning of combat unless they can no longer roll. Then both the attacking and defending god may roll.

>His second however, is too look upon the mortal races of the other divinities and realize that they are the first step forwards. And as usual, can be made better. He cries out again, calling to Ace of the bright light.

"Bright light bringer of the Theosphere, come and see what has been made. It is a beautiful place, and a place to be shaped safely.
But I see also that you hold in hand chldren, each a potent reflection but not ever as bright as you. So I say, should they stay as they are? static and unchanging as the world grows ever brighter?

>The star flickers constantly, processing whether to accept this agreement or not. The implication of them being made better by another god sears away at her pride. Yet the prospect of her children being the best is very tempting for a god such as herself.

Oceanus watched silently as the Theosphere began to take shape, a great Realm born of the cooperation of likeminded gods, and crafted by the God of Creation.
At first, they had chosen to support the project out of pragmatism only, hoping it would bring him allies and dissuade others from bringing violence to his doorstep.
But now that they stared at the finished Realm, they though it to be a truly beautiful sight. They no longer minded that water stopped dominating the landscapes of their domain, and instead rejoiced at the boons the innate abilities of the Theosphere would no doubt bring them.
Though they found it hard to truly relax, after witnessing that most disturbing episode earlier. Gods, hardly born, yet they already ripped at each other's essence, and argued over the remains like a flight of vultures. Who knew which one of them would give in to mindless violence next? Oceanus severely doubted whether their brethren cared for peace at all, and wondered if they were the only one who longed for it.
...Though the architects of the Theosphere seemed reasonable, at least.
Feeling Ren slowly return to them, Oceanus decided that they would stay in their realm for now and carefully watch their peers, before doing anything rash. So, they closed their eyes and listened closely to the world at large, picking up the chatter of the other Gods, waiting for their next move...

>create mortals in the theosphere: featherfolk 2R

Having almost died and witnessed two gods die right before her eyes, Enlil decides to hid herself in the Theosphere. inside, she created the featherfolks, one of the very first inhabitant of the theosphere in Enlil's Image. it took the form of a feminime humanoid creature with a pair of wings, claws and sharp teeth.

the featherfolk has zero intellectual capacity for anything but hunting and survival. and for now it is nothing more than a winged pest who hunts and preys on other (would be) mortal/creatures/animal living within the theosphere.

Entering the newly-created Theoshpere, Constantia basked in the fruit of creation. If she had emotions, she would be experiencing genuine happiness at this moment. Alas, such feelings were beyond her. There was still much to be done.

She pondered for countless eons, all of which passed instantaneously. 'Time' as a concept did not exist, nor did eternity. Among the newly formed divine realms scattered throughout creation, the Theosphere was uncontested in its magnificence. A testament to the will of many, all else paled in comparison. Reaching out across the expanse, her presence touches all gods who offered up Ren to the Theosphere. Constantia speaks, her voice soft, though authoritative.

"Of all divinities, we alone were willing to sacrifice of our vital essence for the sake the common good. Some among our siblings lack vision, sequestering themselves away in the furthest reaches of the primordial chaos in their vanity. Others harbor malice in their hearts - two among our number are now deceased, their flesh and ichor reduced to meat and drink. I propose that we join in grand alliance - a Divine Accord - to defend what we have wrought, and to share our wisdom and talents with one another. I, Constantia, do not demand that you accept - rather, I humbly implore you to consider the heights we can attain when our powers are legion."

Was it convincing? She wonders. She waits.

Yrsill lurked within the deep sea looking far above into the black, his eyes locked on a distant blue dot lingering an impossible distance above the deep. The Theosphere. Yrsill admired the creation curiously, a work built in part by another god of sea? Interesting.

Since devouring the former Tyrant god and assuming an appearance of Lordship Yrsill learned a great many things from the corpse's essence, such as language, regality, and the ability to rule. Thoughts of diplomacy and reaching out to the other gods filled his head, to establish his role as a main player on the table of the gods. He had the power but not the presence.

Shong is still displeased. His Sand was perfect and good, but it is not enough. Oceanus considers Constantia's offer carefully.
They found themselves agreeing with her claims, and mirroring her perspective. Several Gods working together would be no easy task to fell, if other ever tried to cannibalize their brethren again.
And it was plain that together, they could create wonders they couldn't even consider doing alone. The Theosphere was proof of that.
What else could the future hold, if they simply worked together?

Of course, time was something of a mess so a "future" was a rather abstract concept. Already Oceanus realised that the waves, rivers and oceans they listened to during their awakening had yet to be born. But they decided that thinking about this was not worth the headache.

Instead, hearing how other were already voicing their agreement, Oceanus spoke up.

"I would join the Alliance you advocate for, and lend my aid to all who join it. Together, may we craft a peace that will reign over our shared realm forevermore."

Their concept, their very being has been granted power equivalent to some entire mortals, these creatures will simply be more “real” than the rest, but that is not enough, for now comes the time to empower their souls and grant a name.

The Kaellis is the name attributed to this partway made species, their unbodied souls shining in the dark brighter than those of their cousin species, each and every soul possessing an individual true name and potent supernatural vigour.

Soon will come the time to dress these bundles of joy in flesh to determine their form and send them out into a realm, but not quite yet, as Vinculum teaches his mortals-to-be with the concepts of family and matrimony and loyalty.

Yet, much to her surprise there were few she would consider a direct threat, either to the order she thought should exist or herself directly. Still, she was not to be idle and would speak to her fellow deities.

Especially as equals prove themselves lesser and tear into their kin for naught but plays at power. "I witnessed much bloodshed. In defense or otherwise such is unwanted, yet necessary. The aggressor in such cases is at fault, not the defender. I do not blame you for protecting others, for I myself considered taking action. I appreciate what you say, however and will gladly accept should they seek to remove me. For it is clear you understand at least part of the myriad of things that the hierarchy is based on. The only way for one to maintain their position is through strength, will, or cunning. And often time it requires at least some mix of the three. Yet without the center of this trinity, will, it is oft for naught. In rare cases, one may even rise above, their place higher than where they originally were. Yet it is more often one proves themselves unworthy of what they have rather than worthy of what they do not, much like the foolish who struck at their kin in a pathetic grasp for power undeserved. Those gods proved themselves undeserving of their position, and were dealt with accordingly, as things should be."

>Create mortal race for 2 Ren, the Oceanids
Listening to the various proclamations, dialogues and whispers of the Gods, Oceanus heard mostly calls for peace and order, with no sign of anyone relapsing into savagery.
...They knew better then to blindly trust their word for it, but for now their concern was sufficiently quelled that they decided to work on maintaining their newly improved, shared Realm instead of waiting for trouble to come.
To do this, they decided on bringing a new race of mortals into the world, and give them the task of maintaining the Realm's bodies of water, ensuring that none of them are tainted or erased.
This race was to be the Oceanids, a race of elementals crafted in Oceanus' image, with their bodies made up entirely of water, moved by the will of each individual.
They were taught to love the oceans and treasure the seas, every drop of water a gem of immeasurable worth.
With the newly born race release into the Realm at large, Oceanus returned to their meditations, listening to the gentle rhythm of the Deep Blue around them.

>Name defensive artefact "Wall of Waves"
...And in a flight of fancy, Oceanus decided to name the barrier they crafter around themselves earlier, since that seemed to be common protocol amongst the other gods.

>Drop 2 ren into long term creation of a mixed artifact (creation will persist over a couple turns, something to put essence into on the side)

Yrsill floated within the ever reaching deep in a calm meditative state as he conversed with jor. The entire population of the Voyagers slowly floated around him. The pallid creatures locked on in a comatose state stuck deep within their own meditation. This was routine for his subjects, within the deep they have no choice but to use their minds to their fullest capability due to the lack of any tangible objects of any kind beneath the deep sea. But soon they will emerge and serve their role as vassals of Yrsill's will, a perfect populace for him to command populating magnificent kingdoms and forming societies in the name of their god. But not yet.

Not while Yrsill felt exposed, despite a newly entered age of relevant peace the lord of the deep considered his own protection over the comfort of his mortals'. But while he wanted protection he also yearned for the opportunity to hunt again, waiting for another chance to strike down a dangerous god in the name of preserving the law of the strong. The law he believed upheld the Theosphere

He would put two of his ren into a long term project, going from 8 to 6 Ren, it was something to keep him occupied within the pits of the abyss

>>5215959
"The Theosphere is lucky to have such a reasonable god among their ranks. Perhaps I will pay a visit in order to finally see it for myself, i could also bring a portion of my subjects who could be willed to dwell within the therosphere. Regarding your mortals, I am deeply interested. My nature is to innovate and improve, perhaps in the future I would have cause to collaborate with you about your mortals. They make for a point of pride with their parents, I find."
>The Elevator laughs, like a hundred chistels striking rock, voice truly interested and intrigued.

"As a matter of point. Perhaps you can tell me of your own natures, I admit I haven't visited the deep."
>>
>>5216051
"Respectfully, I am certain that the deep would have nothing substantial to offer your kind if you were to visit. No sights, smells, sound, nor sensation. Some of the less inclined of my disciples grow disinterested at what the deep has to offer. Though they can not help it it's simply in the nature of mortals and the gods to crave creation.

You see, whereas you and your kin govern creation, everything you could say. What plants grow, the color of the sky, how the mortals feel and think, the tastes, the sound, the color.

I govern nothingness. The deep is not just the sea but the deprivation of these things. I govern the spaces where mortals can not physically live.

Though you may see this as strange i am sure that my ways cause the mortals to savour your work even more

When hit with the absence of creation, the soul crushing black. The fact that outside the planet they live on there is endless black, or that they will never live to see the bottom of the sea.

They appreciate what you have made even more. Every berry and blossom. Creation.

That is my purpose to act as your gods' opposite. To set the limit of life exploration. That is all there is to gather from the deep, my friend."

"Acknowledged." A wave of approbation briefly washes over each of them. Constantia finds herself an unoccupied region of Theosphere and clears it, ready to resume her labors.

>>5215244
Ten, a hundred, a thousand eons spent planning. Apothis, Ace, Oceanus, even Yrsill had all made life and wonders. Despite this, creation seemed... scattered, inert, empty, in her eyes. Mortals existed to exist, lazy and idle and bored whenever the attentions of their masters wandered elsewhere to pursue ambitions. This was stasis, not order. Something must be done. The goddess decides to construct a structure within the boundaries of the realm she now inhabited. Gathering up the raw substance of creation from outside, she begins by rearranging it. Loose particles are packed close and made neat, becoming hard matter. Hard matter is arranged into a solid foundation on which to build.

Foundation. Molecules of hard matter are then aligned into patterns, creating building blocks, which are then meticulously arrayed into infrastructure. Great canals and a vast sewer for the aquatic, wide roads and sturdy bridges for the earthbound, tall perches and wide terraces for the airborne. Buildings arise, some for habitation, others for commerce, and others still for future exhibitions and events. Constantia calls this a 'city,' and this city is known as Nexus. At the heart of Nexus was the Sanctum, a sacred stronghold from which Constantia would steward as its Judicatrix.

Still, she bars all from entry. Nexus was not quite finished, not yet.

>Constantia spends 4 Ren to create Nexus, a structure in the Theosphere realm.

>>5215765
Constantia's essence instinctively reaches out and brushes against Larillam. The Goddess of Order had nothing in particular to share with the Goddess of Hierarchies, instead silently greeting her peer. In her own fashion, Constantia now views Larillam as a sort of sister. A perverse, haughty, loud sister, but even a goddess does not have the privilege of choosing her siblings.
>>
>>5215227
> spend two ren to improve the forge
Gridelmeir in hand, the Everburning gets to work, ignoring the sounds of the world outside his realm.
A work done while distracted is no work at all, and so what if his brothers and sisters butcher eachother? So long as there’s fire, he’ll forge, and so long as he forges he’s doing his job. He doesn’t need no one, he can handle himself!

Surely, this great forge shall craft great weapons, and they will be enough to protect him- maybe even earn him the respect of the others?

>>5215343
The great smith approaches the one from the depths, water sizzling and boiling as the Everburning’s body spews lava and steam
“I’ve come with an offer” he says, without even bothering to say hi
>>
>>5216190
Oceanus raised an eyebrow at the unexpected guest. Of all their brethren, they did not think the Everburning God of Fire would visit their Realm.

"I am listening" Oceanus replied.
>>
>>5215997

"The order which I desire to protect is one that does not have constant conflict and strife through violence against one's kin. Seeking for peace is desirable, especially after all that has transpired not long ago."

>>5216181

While no words were said, Larillam gave a sort of acknowledgement to this silent address. Though the Goddess of Order might view her in a more negative light, even if still a sister, such feeling was not mutual. Larillam simply respected the one who embodied that which they aligned with. Order. Still, shortly after this Larillam looked to the Theosphere with interest, some attention given to the ornate city that was being worked on, yet she would not be intrusive to Constantia's work, and soon her attention went to the works of the other gods...

>Indirect Narcissism. Specifically, installing a great desire to worship and create rituals for the star that made them as great as they see themselves. A prideful, almost masturbatory way of worship a god, but a way to worship nevertheless.

Enlil hides himself within the bounds of the Theosphere after viewing the horrific sites of his brothers and sisters' brutal battle and their subsequent cannibalism. To accompany him he created the feather-folk a race of female bird people who terrorize the theosphere in search of mortal prey.
-
After negotiations with the prideful god of light Jor somehow managed to convince her to give him her most dim of her race of Judgements in order to prove that he could improve on her work. In order to advance his group of Judgements Jor gave them the ability to change their colors through hard work and determination. Accepting these gifts the race, obsessed with their own pride sought to evolve further and prove they were better than their peers. They became dedicated to the cause of improvement and began to worship the god of evolution.
-
Koypi, God of Luck decides to settle in the grove making improvements to it as they see fit. The plants in the domain while withered now begin to show signs of growth with every 100th tree having a small flower and four-leaf clovers being spotted by the Khaons.
-
In order to fully cement his transformation from beast to lord, the behemoth of the deep, Yrsill set his eyes on the creation of his first subjects. From his very flesh and bone, he molded the Voyagers, a race of chattering abominations fit to not only live in the sea but also spread out across the universe.

Despite the relative peace the gods saw, Yrsill still saw the threat the other Gods posed. He began to craft a tool to defend himself, something that would protect him and his realm, but then he began to feel an urge. Mabey it was just a natural inclination or perhaps the domain of subjugation, of proving oneself over one’s lessers was tearing at him. Nonetheless, he made sure his tool would be equal in both offense and defense so he may hunt and protect against being hunted.
-
The titan of Sand, Shong created grain after grain of sand within his realm. Tireless working until his realm’s shape and form reflected the very nature of its creation. Each piece of sand was but a small grain in a larger piece and so was his realm to the universe.
-
The apex within his realm, Monkie looks to spread his fortune to his lessers. He brought forth beasts for his fellow primates to hunt and fruits for them to gorge on.
-
Ur-Vinculum continued to mold and shape his very first mortal race. Filling their very souls with concepts he values. Never satisfied with his work Vinculum kept tinkering with their form spending all his time perfecting his creations.

Shocked by the violence that was perpetrated at the birth of the universe, Apothis decided to reinforce his gardens against any would-be pests. A boundary of berry-filled branches and bramble was erected around the grove serving to protect its inhabitants.

Seeing the merriment in another grove, Apothis approached the god of Primates with gifts. He offered Monkie alcohol in exchange for the bones of his deceased, this offer was quickly accepted by the apex of the jungles and soon skeletal apes danced with the gardens of the groves.
-
Quelon architect of the Theosphere feels pride at his accomplishment, with the combined effort of the other gods they created the very first realm of its kind, one where gods and mortals may know protection from the dangers of the abyss. But this feeling is short-lived, he is the god of creation and his work knows no end. In order to maintain his creation, Quelon brought forth the custodians, divine servants that will help him further his innovations.
-
Like her brothers and sisters before her the goddess of order Costania began to build a divine wonder in the ever growing theosphere. She tirelessly constructed a magnificent city fit for the gods yet she was not finished her work would continue.
-
While others were busy polticing and making grand speeches Eremong countinuted to work relentlessly on his forge. The expanse of his volcanic planet grew and yet the heat of the lava was even hotter. His plans may have been straightforward, but sometimes hard work is all one needs to get a job done.
-
Ace ever the prideful god is horrified to find her race being outshined by Jor’s creations. In order to fix wrongdoing (and restore her pride) she poured her Ren into her children developing their minds and ability to worship her.
-
Oceanus believing that peace had come at last to the universe decided that his time was better spent developing their shared realm then worrying about any fears of destruction. To this end he created a race of water elementals know as the Oceanids who would treasure the sea almost as much him.
-
The lord of dreams, Rydrinil molded his very first creations after finishing help construct the theosphere. He brought forth a race of dream walkers known as the Oneironauts divine servants who would help him tend to the dreams of mortals.

>Warfare seemed to come to halt in the universe as the gods began to form a lasting peace, but not all was well. The silent gods began to make their moves.

Rules Update:

Mortals are lesser beings they are naturally inclined to worship whoever created them, but they can be influenced by all. They may be unable to exert much influence over creation, but their numbers naturally go up. In order for mortals to survive, they need to be within a realm.

A mortal race’s Ren will grow by 1.5 rounded up if there’s enough space for it to do so in its realm. Space is calculated by doubling the total amount of Ren spent on a realm for example a [4] divine realm would allow for [8R] of mortals to live in it.

While weak individually the combined belief of mortals over a large scale seems to have a similar effect as the spark of creation allowing for Ren to be harvested from them through worship. A mortal race can worship two gods at a time, one major and one minor, with the total amount of Ren worth of mortals a god has worshipping them determining how much essence can be derived from them. Every [6R] worth of mortals worshipping a god provides them with +1 [R] a turn.

Ex) Humans, [10R] Mortal race - [M] Zeus], [m] Athena

Conversion: A god can convert a mortal race that's not full-on gods to their faith by spending Ren on a miracle that will go to the mortal race’s total Ren. If a mortal race has a full amount of gods, a god can try and steal a mortal’s faith away from a specific god by challenging them to competition this works the same as combat except artifacts don’t help, and there are circumstantial bonuses. Finally, if a mortal race’s major god is killed the attacking god will become their major god unless contested by another god.

Circumstantial Bonuses: Whoever creates the mortal race becomes the major god of that race. A major god has a +4 bonus to defend their race from conversion while a minor god has +1 bonus. The more domains a god holds the more powerful their attraction is to mortals. A god will receive a +1 bonus to protect against and attempt conversion for every additional domain they have from base 1. If a god has killed another God they receive a +4 bonus to protect against and attempt the conversion in that turn, since mortals value power. Additional circumstance bonuses will be added depending on their scenario for example water elementals will find it extremely hard to worship a god of fire.

Structures are the buildings within a realm that do not contribute to the realm's total strength or defensive bonus but may have other uses. There are 3 types of wards. Wards, Strongholds, and temples. Wards weaken the attacks of those specified within a realm usually foreign attackers. Strongholds strengthen the attacks of those who are specified to it within a realm. Temples strengthen conversion attack and defense.

In the First World, in his First Life, Apothis had been rather isolationist, passive and reactive in turns. As a Shade, he had witnessed what had come of that: his step-children, guests of his great party, destroyed; his works, infested with bugs and infected by pestilence, before being burned away by warfare.

The Shade would not make the same mistakes in this Second World. He would be proactive.

Into the grape-vines now winding their course through Jungle of Monkie, he wove a new sort of MIRACULOUS property: a hallucinogen, granting any of the screaming monkeys who consumed of it a euphoric, transformative gift to pass beyond their mortal bodies and briefly into the realm of Truth, Spirits, and Gods. To each of these wandering spirits who ventured near his Grove, he offered a cup of wine and an herbal cigarette to mellow their loud spirits.

Rydrinil had enjoyed the peace of the last turn but couldn't shake the feeling that it was only the calm before the storm. As he looked at the mortals other God's had made he felt envious of the worship and considered making his own. However, fearing that when trouble came his mortals may end up defenseless he thought about how to ensure they could protect themselves. As he looked at his domain he had an idea. Just as he was about to begin he hesitated worrying that his creations would frighten the other mortals too much. Perhaps he should make a friendlier race even if they would be weaker. Then he heard the thunder. The storm has arrived. He grasped the concept of nightmares and ripped a piece of it off which he cast into reality. The creatures born from this act varied wildly in appearance but most resembled a primordial fear. These beings were isolationist who rarely let other see them out of the corner of their eyes let alone directly look at them. She had with her the protective shell of a now-dead god, and enjoyed the added protection of the Theosphere. Larillam was vulnerable and exposed, easy prey for an aggressor. To Constantia, sisterhood was not lessened when one sister was.... 'unique.'

Her normal calm now compromised, the Goddess of Order sets out at once to destroy this bizarre newcomer with aggression that she had never demonstrated prior.
>>
>>5216990
>The star twists and turns, watching the antithesis of her very being attempt to strike down a god stirs something in her. Rage? Envy? Disgust? Perhaps her own pride twisting at her gut. She grabs her stolen, no, properly earned artifacts and gets ready to move in once the time is right.

>>5216977
>She hears the voice of the shade call out to her. Her interest briefly broken from the shadow, she turns to respond.
"A temple? I suppose it is only fitting, considering what I have called upon from you. As long as my children still put most of their worship onto me and before other gods, then your temple shall be tolerated by me. I'm content with this proposal."
>>
Combat Changes:

Attacking gods will now be treated as the attacker if attacked by a different god. Attacking gods now get priority to continue attacking into the next round of combat.

Ex) If god X attacks god Y and god Z attacks god X, then god X rules to attack both god Y and Z with any attack bonuses they have while god Y and Z roll to defend with any defense bonuses they may have. If god X fails to kill both gods he may choose to continue attacking and still be treated as the attacker into the next round.

If a singular god is fighting multiple gods they will get -1 on their dice for every additional god they're fighting from the base 1. If groups of gods are fighting the attacking gods will get the opportunity to choose their opponents, if they fail to do so the gods will be randomly paired off to fight.

The reverberations of combat as one god fought another echoed throughout the empty halls of Thyp's library concerned it greatly, and when the death throes of those unfortunate godlings that died in the conflict reached the library it instilled a great fear of this irrational conflict.

Due to the recent conflict Thyp would realise that his scribes are not powerful enough to venture into the cosmos to fulfill this mission as such it was imperative that he imbues th with the blessings about the inner workings of the universe.
>> Spend 2 ren to upgrade my minion's to give them a greater understanding of the universe and to blend in with their environment.

Once it was done imbuing it's scribes with the knowledge necessary to survive out in the cosmos, Thyp would order them to bring forth its empty tomes to start writing down its knowledge for the first section of the Library as an empty archive is unbefitting for a being such as Thyp. These books would exist in the case it ceased to exist and for mortals who would be deemed worthy of some greater knowledge.
>> Spend 2 ren to fill the first wing of the library with some of its tomes regarding the inner workings of the universe.

Out of curiosity and boredom, once it was done with its task Thyp would venture forth outside of its library and out into the cosmos to survey the site of the battlefield and scout it for anything that may be of use to bring back and study.

"...Again?"
Oceanus watched in exasperation as their brethren fought to the death once more.
Though the attackers included only the in-so-far silent God of darkness and God of cold beasts. It seems some Gods are simply born with a desire for bloodshed and violence, and they were unable to control it any longer.
...But Oceanus had work to do, so they tore their gaze away from the grim spectacle unfolding elsewhere.

>Spend 2 Ren improving Eremog's Realm
Eremog had come to them, offering a simple deal, a hand for a hand. Having accepted, Oceanus was duty bound to do their part.
And so they left the Deep Blue and travelled over to the Realm of the God of fire, and set to work.
Infusing their power into the foreign Realm, they brought water to the world. Sources of pure water formed beneath the earth bubbling to the surface in geysers and rivers. The air grew humid as water sizzled from the heat, and clouds formed in the sky for the first time.
As a finishing touch, Oceanus took great care to put the largest, purest source close to the heart of the forge, flowing wherever it was most needed.
"...Will this much do?" Oceanus asked.

"I have no use for an artefact made to harm others. Craft me something that will protect me from harm. I leave the details in your hands"

Yrsill stalked Enlil from within the black of space. While his kin fought the newborn invading gods this runt god sought after the flesh of mortals? Truly pathetic. Since I can already tell that should you continue you would eventually become the most potent and Ren Hungry predator of the embodiments, my options are to attack you now to prevent that possible future or try something else.
I am loath to try and destroy such innately improving embodiments, I have elected to try a new approach."

>There is a sigh, which steadily evens out and compounds on itself in a melodic noise of cosmic exasperation

"Namely speaking, I wish for you to become the recipient of Iterational Improvement. I will cease to exist while you will inherent my nature.
This is conditional of restraining your appetite from the Theosphere and the embodiments of creation, order, water and light. With the additional caveat of improving either yourself or existence whenever possible.

Should you agree, I will use the Ren remaining to me to empower your artifact you have been making, at which point you may consume me without resistance.

I consider you a friend in this universe, my only equal in a chaotic existence.

But if it is your wish to sacrifice yourself in order to uplift me into becoming a just and honorable ruler then i will allow myself to be a part of this.

I only hope that i can live up to the precedence you have set, to equal your selflessness. Your ultimate act of redemption shall not be performed in vain.

As more ichor is shed Vinculum channels more of his might into the Kaellis, creating their bodies at last.

Mighty forms, strong, swift and durable, with the special characteristic of being able to modify themselves slowly according to the desires of their mind, producing adaptations over the course of several months.

Two legs, four arms, a torso and a head characterise this race, Vinculum settling on an extra set of arms so they can hug twice as much, perhaps ignorant of the true extent of the power of his creations, perhaps merely playing coy.

With the bodies made the race is nearing its completion, but as a few bold souls attempt to enter their shells they find them cold and unmoving, something is missing to yet animate them, the Kaellis still incomplete.

Yrsill prepared to end the life of his friend and consume his corpse, but he would do so as humanely and modestly as he could manage.

You have to specify if you're spending essence so I'm going to ignore the +2 and just add your defensive bonus

Monkie is quickly overwhelmed by the wolves, but Apothis and Shong jump into the fight to help him. Catastrovaniov lunges at Monkie in an attempt to tear out his throat, but with his quick reflexes, Monkie is able to catch and then slam the god into a nearby tree knocking the air out of her and the surrounding forest down. The primates within his realm begin to flee the dangerous scene. The weakest within Catastrovaniov’s pack begins to whimper, but the stronger of the two sees the distracted Shong and launches a surprise attack. Shong catches the wolf by the throat. He prys its jaws open and then fills its stomach with kernel after kernel of sand until it finally explodes into an icy puff of snow. The final wolf begins to whimper, but its cries are cut short when Apothis gave it a whack over its head with his staff knocking it down before Jor lunged at the creature and tore it limb from limb.

God's can keep fighting until they have negative Ren. you guys managed to kill both her minions, but not her. The first three gods to roll were paired off with her and then her minions since attackers get to choose who they target. Then the final god to roll Jor choose to target her minions.

God's end is still in the hands of shadow, so you'll have to wait until he's dead to attempt to take it. You won't be able to flee with it since you have fled once already this turn. I will allow that roll to be for combat against him if you want though.
>>
>>5218078
oh alright, these other gods can have his domain and whatnot but i hope i get to keep the artifact

Round Update

Shadow charges into battle with his sickle made out of dark matter, GOD”S END. Constantia attempts to make an opening for her sisters by blocking the sickle with her shield, but the blade phases right through it and into her chest. Constantia falls to her knees. Licking the ichor off his blade, Shadow cackles “And here I thought this would be a challenge.” But his distraction allows Ace and Larillam to rush in and launch a counter attack filling his shadowy form with their divine light until his form begins to break down. Then suddenly Enil swoops down from the void pouncing on shadow and ripping out his innards.

>The light quickly grabs onto the corpse of the shadow and glares at the other gods, ready to run if they don't relent to her demands. Her pride swells at the idea of slaughtering her lesser.
"I demand his domain, at minimum, and most if not all of his body's Ren. You may keep the artifact. It is only right for the light to burn and consume at the dark."

>If the gods do not accept this, she's going to run.
>>
>>5218113

After the fight, Larillam rushed to Constantia, examining her before trying to help her up, then after looking to the others and to the corpse.

"I am relieved to see you aren't too badly injured. Please, rest in the grand realm you have created with the others. If you permit, I will join you shortly."

>>5218120

After this, she turned to the sun goddess and spoke.

"You may take the lesser's domain if you so desire. But I would like his Ren. I believe that this can be negotiable, can it not?"

>The sun squints. She's not in much of a mood to relent but she's going to give an offer she deems fitting.

"Split in half, down the middle. 3 for me, 3 for you. Tolerable? Most I can split is 2 for me, 4 for you. To repay for what I spent to kill him."
